I love him so much, sweet murderous boy. I was fist fighting to find a pose for him though XD
i hate them
it was just a race
my biggest issue with the httyd live action-and just about any live action reboot is that it seems that the live action adaptations are being made to make the original โbetterโ? like, so many people talk about a live action spiderverse, a live action hercules, a live action PRINCE OF EGYPT (dont piss me OFF.)-like animation is a beautiful work of art, and for some reason putting real people and cgi in it is supposed to be an โupgradeโ? im probably being that friend thatโs too woke or whatever, but i just think itโs so disrespectful to act like something that takes so much time and effort and energy is immediately considered as lower because it is animated. animation is beautiful, and it is one of the most heartfelt art forms there are, and erasing that for the sake of a cash grab is downright degrading to animation as a medium.
This 100% how it happened

Bit of notes for this small update!
I like to imagine that Poptart often hides his own feelings since Sprouts mood would depend on his own. If he can hide whatever he is actually feeling and pretend to be happy, he believes Sprout in turn would be happy as well. I hope to bring this idea up more in the future...
And, I wont draw it, but do imagine lots of training for these two off-screen! (off... comic? off-comic.) I have been meaning to do something showing Sprout training him and showing him some one armed fighting styles, but I dont really know how to turn it into a proper update so ๐ค
With that being said though, it is important to note, that Poptart can summon his sword from thin air at will :) this will be important later....
You might have seen the cover art I sketched for @plothooksinc's fic Infinite Ricochet a couple days ago. I wanted to clean it up a bit, so here's a more refined version ๐
There was actually one more draft I did between the first and this final one, in which I tried a tighter composition and pushed the perspective more. It lost some of the eerie atmosphere though, so I wasn't as happy with it. You can check it out under read more, if you're curious!
"i love doing anything!"
