Bethesda, you seriously expect me to act NORMAL around this robot when he's literally the sexiest hunk of metal ever made? He's witty, hes kindhearted, he loves puns, hes useful, hes strong and confident when need be but still tender and emotional, he butters me up CONSTANTLY because I treat him well, and he's also just genuinely an attractive robot. WHY CAN'T I ROMANCE HIM IM SOO MAD😭😭😭😭😭💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔 CODSWORTH I WANT YOU SO SO SOSOSOO BADDDDDUGGJHGH. I just reached max affinity for him and my heart is THUMPING !!!!!

Besides, I'm preeeetty sure he likes me back. Besides all the mushy stuff he says to me, I waited a couple hours in game earlier and when I "woke up" I found him sitting directly on top of me. Just. Why. Your engine is right in my face, Sir. Not that I'm complaining.

Just finished my synth Codsworth redesign, so here!!

I'll probably change a few things as I continue to draw him, but yeah, this is the base idea. Here's a few facts about this design under the cut:

•Seein as he doesn't have weapons built into him anymore, he wields a Mr. Handy buzz blade and a flamer as his main weapons, though they can obviously be swapped out for others.

•His base outfit is a combination of different colored male formal wear from New Vegas and a far more clean version of the metal armor from 4. I actually considered havin him wear robot armor over top of the suit, but I thought it wouldn't look as good as the regular metal armor. Also gave him a bowler hat since he can actually wear one in game.

• Despite bein a fully lifelike synth that could pass as human, he does have prototype synth eyes, and parts of his body are damaged, exposin some of the metal. Most visible in the blank reference below.

no you dont get it you dont UNDERSTAND this scene at the end of wall-e is so aburpt and emotional. especially in the context. the whole movie it's all been up in the character's faces, filling the frame. but the camera steps back and you see how small they are. so insignificant. massive towering monoliths all around them but at the end of it all.. they're just robots.. two tiny little robots. they're in the shadow and wall-e is *gone*. The bright spark of life has quietly been whispered away. that spark, so small, so bright. the framing gives you the eerie sense of emptiness [emphasised by the previour shot - showing wall-e's lifeless eyes.

there's no emotion there. it's empty. he's gone. not just gone, but the lights aren't on. sure you rebuilt the house but you look inside and nobody's there. the echo of your love doesn't return. it's hollow. it's so sad. i could cry about this for years and years and years. so much is being told. EVE was lifting his eyes and they dropped back down in the most robotic way possible. no swagger or humanity or personality. just back to inhuman efficency. compared to the swift, sweeping, emotive movement throughout the movie - this feels not just bad, but wrong. there's only about 2:30 from wall-e "reanimating" until he comes back completely. but that 2 and a half minutes. its some of the most heart-tugging animated movie i've ever seen.
