hey everyone! i just wanted to bring something up that’s been on my mind regarding face claims and character ages in the rp space.

lately, i’ve noticed that some roleplays are using face claims of minors—like people who are clearly 14 or 15—but labeling the characters as 18+ or older. i want to say this as kindly and respectfully as possible: that’s really not okay.

using minor face claims for adult characters blurs a very uncomfortable line, and it can unintentionally cross into inappropriate territory. even if the content itself isn’t explicit, it still gives off a weird vibe and just isn’t respectful to the real people behind those images—especially since they’re still kids.

there are so many great fcs out there who are actually 18 or older, so it’s not like anyone’s out of options. it’s totally possible to find a look or vibe that fits your character while also staying within a respectful boundary.

this isn’t meant to be a callout or an attack on anyone—I get that sometimes people just don’t think about it that deeply. but i hope this helps clear up why it’s important, and that we can all keep our rp spaces safe and appropriate for everyone involved.
