yes PLEASE
You're gonna sit there and tell me that Mike had feelings for El, yet when El was crying for reassurance that Mike loved her--
He couldn't have gotten the fck up and went over to comfort her??
Like this????
This is where the "he couldn't say ily because he was afraid If he said it-" yadda, yadda, yadda, falls apart.
Even if he couldn't say the words aloud, we have seen that he is able to show his affection and love through physical touch.
(Which did wonders for Will feeling cared for and supported, btw)
Also, even if he couldn't say the words "I love you", he could have spoken softly to her, gently reassuring her of how she was special to him.
Like tbis???
Singling her out from the rest and assuring her his feelings haven't changed and home isn't home without her??
There are so many ways that conversation could've gone to make E feel loved, even if he couldn't say it. We know Mike is capable of showing it.
But he did not use his love language with El. He wouldn't even go near her to hold hands or even put an arm around her, nor did he try to say he missed her or that they were a team.
TL;DR: Mike Wheeler, I know what you are.
She is so fucking hot, oh my god

Do you know what I learned in a screenwriting class? Saying what you mean is super boring. ESPECIALLY in the beginning. Don't have characters tell the full truth from the start or it's just events in an order instead of learning things about the characters.
Anyway, season 4 episode 2 of 9:
If you ARE writing a character with internalized homophobia, have THAT be part of what's being discovered. Don't just drop this thing that hasn't been true until now and then leave it there. Even the idea of what plotline this serves should have been executed better. The only way it works is if this had been built up from the beginning and instead of being consider episode 2/9 (early) it was considered season 4/5 (appropriate time for a reveal - yk like Will's queerness), but it was introduced last season at best in one little incident like this one so at best it could be considered episode 7/22 if we start at 3x03. Still way too early. Still end of the the first third at BEST.
So, given the timing and structure, this line and everything in the fight only works as a lie or half-truth to be revealed later.
Just another case, like the ily speech building to "fight" instead of "I love you", of "they aren't not following the rules of writing, they're just doing something else". The climax should be ily but isn't? That's because the climax is actually "fight" bc that's the core of it. The early stages should be lies or half truths like how Will holds back here but Mike says something that seems true? Must be because it is and they just broke a basic writing principle for fun? Wrong again! He IS lying.
People will see "it's like o'clock on the lying show!(Season 4)" And hear something they thought was true and go "what a weird timing to say things that aren't lies. They must have forgotten."
alright so the main character here is kate and we’re seeing her perspective. quint and jessel died or not. that’s honestly unnecessary to talk about rn. the kids are their victims IF there are actually something going on. especially miles cuz remember when he stepped on a fish and said that nothing deserves to suffer? my point is, maybe he killed quint because he was doing things to jessel. and quint is basically getting revenge and now hes possessing miles and he makes him do things he never wanted to do. flora is like painting those creepy things with her a ms jessel. she seems normal actually but theres still something going on since there are ghosts of her which we can tell obviously but now it comes to kate. maybe she’s ACTUALLY insane and since we’re seeing it from her perspective, we can’t really go to the other characters storylines. if she’s fr seeing those things and the kids are simply possessed then it all makes sense. and the end is also a big question in my opinion because she wakes up in a bed placed in a empty pool and then she sees her mother and she screams as if she saw my ex bestfriends vagina. so maybe she saw her own face instead. either that or shes like fr mentally ill and the kids are normal people which kinda makes it seem more confusing
"Why are we still talking about it?"avesEllie williams #1 stanMulti-fandom
