I changed it a little, don't know if it's for better or worse but it is what it is
Like, here's how I think a conversation with these two would go:
Ok so hot take, but I don't like the phrase "Modern Prometheus" when describing Victor Frankenstein. Because unlike Victor, Prometheus actually cared about his creations (humanity) and sought to protect them (gave them fire). And when he was found out by Zeus, he took responsibility for his actions, but didn't apologize for doing what he thought was right. Sure Victor created life, but he abandoned it for looking at him funny.
Goddamnit Victor, just because your a genius in science doesn’t mean your a genius in other aspects of life!
This is one of my favorite paintings I've done.
These are Huldra or Hulderfolk from Scandinavian folklore. Hulderfolk are seductive forest spirits and their name translates loosely to "hidden" or "secret". They're said to look like normal women with the only difference being the hole in their back that resembles a hollowed tree and the long cow-like tail which they hide under their skirts. If you encounter a Huldra and treat her with respect, she will be very helpful (sharing the best fishing spots or tending to your charcoal kiln), but mistreat her and the punishment will be severe (being beaten to death with her tail or taken into the mountains never to be seen again).
Been working on a comic concept for my creature artwork. Here’s just a small interaction between Adam and Evelyn. Hope you like it!
There's another scene at Nojiko's hut where she says that Nami is "a thief with no conscience. And when there's no more left to take she leaves and doesn't turn back." As she says this you can see Zoro looking down with an expression of... disappointment. Like deep down he was hoping Luffy would be proven right about Nami's character, but Nojiko's words just further confirm his suspicions.
Then Nojiko says something that makes him look up: "My sister doesn't have any friends."
Those were the last words Zoro said to Nami before his duel with Mihawk. This does two things 1) it shows Zoro (and the audience) that Nami wasn't lying during their drinking game at Baratie when she said she didn't have any friends, 2) it makes him feel guilty.
Because of my last video, I've been thinking a lot about this moment, about Zoro's little step back when Nami sees them for the first time since the betrayal, and I wonder if it was something written in the script or if Mackenyu (or another person like the director or the writers during filming) came up with it on the spot. Because I really love it.
I mean, the others were there when Nami's betrayal takes place but Zoro doesn't see it, Luffy has to tell him what happened. So this is the first time they see each other since he directly hurt her with her own words. Since he used her own vulnerability against her just to get her to leave him alone.
So the fact that he is almost intimidated by her when they see each other again after the absolute disaster that was their last conversation (and without him knowing what she has been doing for him during his convalescence), is a great detail to me.
Nami!!! Emily Rudd the woman you are 🥰.
Nøkken Among the Lilies
Thought I'd post a pic of my summer acrylic painting.
The Nøkken (also known as Näcken, Nøkk, Nixie, or Nix) is a water spirit from Scandinavian Folklore. He is known to reside in still bodies of water, hiding in the lily pads and fern. Nøkken was said to play the violin, fiddle, or harp so beautifully it lured people to the bodies of water where they drowned.

And let's not forget:
They! Love! Him! So! Much!
I love how different One Piece Live Action is to the anime because you can actually see in their eyes when everyone falls in love with Luffy. Like absolutely deeply madly in love with him.
