Simon coded
Always mourning the lack of content for the tales from the shadowhunter academy gang.
No one loves them like I do
Simon and Jace have been through enough, please spare them.
if she kills off someone from the tmi gang then what
Anyone else remember when Simon and George were gonna raise baby out if there sock drawer? Cause it was so pure I love them so much!
Maybe I’m just in a Sebastian mood (yuck) but what I find really interesting is that in the Clay’s edom dream when we see good Sebastian… he literally just acts like Simon.
I feel like this is a way to reference the fact Simon is the closest thing Clary will ever actually have to a brother (the only real reference she has to a healthy brother). He makes jokes like Simon, makes fun of Jace, says sarcastic jokes and likes Izzy!
I also think it’s interesting that the that snapped Clary out of Edom is the fact Simon didn’t exist!
There relationship is soo underrated but it means soooo much to me!

Exactly! Creativity channels itself in so many different ways. If a character really speaks to you, if a story brings you excitement, then why shouldn't it be considered art when you express yourself through them? Why is this specific thing looked down apon, but when someone uses a model for their art it's not looked on the same way? It's likely because these characters and stories are already a creative channel of someone else. But no ideas have ever been born from nothing. Everything that exists is an adaptation of something existing. Did you know that every story follows the one of 36 plots? No story has ever been written outside of these plots. So why is every fiction writer held to such a high standard, when they're simply rewriting something that has been written thousands of times before? Fiction writing is no different from fanfiction writing. Fanfiction art is no different from art. Thank you for coming to my ted talk.
Do you ever think you'll stop drawing fanart? No offense it just seems like the kind of thing you're supposed to grow out of. I'm just curious what your plans/goals are since it isn't exactly an art form that people take seriously.
Ah, fanart. Also known as the art that girls make.
Sad, immature girls no one takes seriously. Girls who are taught that it’s shameful to be excited or passionate about anything, that it’s pathetic to gush about what attracts them, that it’s wrong to be a geek, that they should feel embarrassed about having a crush, that they’re not allowed to gaze or stare or wish or desire. Girls who need to grow out of it.
That’s the art you mean, right?
Because in my experience, when grown men make it, nobody calls it fanart. They just call it art. And everyone takes it very seriously.
I love the idea that Simon just has really horrendous posture and it rectifies itself after he ascends. Like, Jace is a solid inch taller until Simon stands up straight and they’re the same height. Jace absolutely stands on his tippy toes whenever people ask them to compare height, and pouts when he gets called out for it.
I known canonically Jace is taller than Simon. But picture this. Simon being exactly two inches taller than Jace. But it only happened after Simon ascended. Jace is still pissed about it. Simon is all smug but without actually pointing it. Jace starts styling his hair with some spikes, he is so not letting Simon win., Etc.
This is why Simon and Clary’s friendship is so elite
Bad news for the haters of the world: Clary Fray is based as fuck. Literally everything she does is justified, and frankly I would have been worse.
