may i offer a leo angst fic in these trying times?

What catches Leo's attention is the way the necklace is glowing brightly. “Euuoh boy,” he says, immediately bracing for pain when it flashes a poisonous green in his direction. He flinches when the blast hits him. OR, i give Leo Ella's curse of obedience and make it angst.

One of my favorite things to do while watching the rottmnt movie is spot all the times Leo weighs his options, goes for it, and regrets it- like this

No wonder he doubts himself and thinks they’d be okay/better without him- most decisions he makes in the movie end in setbacks at best, and his brothers being hurt/the world ending at worst! I know they ALL need extensive therapy after all this but like…. DAMN Leo’s gonna some serious self worth issues after this (if he didn’t already)

Someone on tiktok said it best, “imagine never being able to live up to the version of yourself that ended the world” - that line haunts me to this day, you KNOW that’s how Leo looks at himself now- the guy that came in second place to a version of himself that ended the world and got his brothers killed.

So when I first heard this song I couldn't not draw this. It reminded me a lot of my fic (Me Before You) so I drew it ;w; I'm actually in the process of making a animatic thingy to the full song >:]

Needless to say, it's just a lot of pain for the boys. They go through a lot a lot in that fic. Also just to cover my bases: this isn't tcest. Please. No. Just angsty disaster twin content.

Just a reminder? that Leo doesn’t actually think he is worthless and useless.

Yes, he has his moments of self-doubt, and he struggled to find his place in the team, but he is perfectly aware that he is Good. That he is skillful and athletic and smart. In fact he thinks he is awesome even when he is not, like his humour.

He just sparks joy all around. I know people like the ‘hides the Pain under the smile’ type, but Leo has a normal amount of issues. Like Raph, Donnie and Mikey.

Got really busy with life after the @maddogzzine pt.2 was made, so I never got around to posting the final piece I made for it!! So now I’m posting it here too for your viewing pleasure because gdmnit I’m proud of those fish scales 😭
