That whole bit, the way the show handled that scene and the way est absolutely nailed it was amazing to me. Like the delivery was so in character, the way Po was just not able to get words out because he was trying so hard to hold it in. And the way he only completely broke down in his room by himself, away from thame cause he knew he didn't have the resolve to walk away if thame continued to console and beg. Oof yep this scene is gonna be talked about in bl history for sure.

Est's delivery on "Thame, aren't you tired?" might just be one of the best bits of acting I've seen in a while

the symbolism in light on me

everyone's been talking about light on me displaying a whole lot of symbolisms to show the growth of the boys' relationships and the contrast between tae and daon and tae and shinwoo. im not gonna repeat them all, but here's the one i noticed today.

have u all stopped to think about the difference in purposedly forced things and fate-like accidents?

with daon, it all seems a little forced, like everything had to be done on purpose for it to happen. they met bc tae decided he wanted to make friends and purposely joined the student council. they becane friends because daon purposely forced encounters with tae to make him feel more at ease and open about people and friendships. they started liking each other for this exact reasons, bc they kept meeting through acts of help and kindness that were planned by them both.

with shinwoo its different. the first time shinwoo saw him was by accident when he saw tae helping the man carry the trash bags, and then accidentally saw him reject the hang out with those boys in class and the ONE time he tried to purposely force an encounter with him by bumping into his shoulder, it went wrong and nothing came out of if. still, fate seems to have brought them together by chance, by mere coincidences. like how they met, and how tae found out about shinwoo 's feelings purely accidentally bc he happened to want to get his phone fixed that day. also, the way tae accidentally found the keychain that had been bought for him in contrast to him purposely giving the bracelet to daon.

to me, all of this points that things that are meant to be are never forced, they come to you when u least expect them and they are often the most precious things that will happen to you in the end.

sunah and yohan

sunah is behind yohan because of her role in the story. she’s a bigger player than yohan initially realized. she’s behind his back and slightly above him, but he’s aware of her presence.

however, that’s also why she’s covering one eye. because yohan is blinded and cannot see the entirety of sunah’s plan. mainly because he didn’t know it existed in the first place. he only has one eye open because he can only see what he knows. she’s literally impacting his eyesight.

then, there’s the fact that she’s covering his right eye. the left has played a significant role in the show, with both gaon and yohan on the left. gaon, the precious sidekick who sits at the left, and yohan, who earns himself a scar on his left hand. soohyun was gaon’s right, but yohan is his left. this can also mean yohan has only had tunnel vision for gaon and his own plans for him.

their positions indicate one is more dominant than the other, but in this case, i think it’s more along the lines of gaon isn’t just a looming presence for yohan, he’s literally giving and the reason yohan has light on his face. but gaon’s back is turned away from the light and toward the darkness. this represent the story arcs each character goes through, with yohan walking into the light by the end of the show, and gaon having to walk through the darkness to get to a neutral, more hopeful place. he rises above despite the dark.

similar to the middle poster, gaon’s back is turned away from the light while soohyun is facing it. she represents gaon’s hope, and she’s staring at gaon in judgment. gaon’s face is tilted down, almost as if he’s ashamed that she’s looking at him for choosing the side shrouded in darkness.
