sit with me. let’s take a breath. put the phone away for a while
be here now. remember everything will be okay
every soul has purpose and potential. you’re here for a reason do not forget
if you feel lost, talk to me or open up to someone you trust
if you feel unloved, know that I love you. each and every one of you.
human, animal, plant. i feel love. love is powerful. do not forget
send love out to the universe it’ll return ten fold.
feel compassion and understanding
even for those totally blinded by their thoughts, that take ill action against others
don’t fight them with fire, it will only grow the hate.
love is the only way to true happiness

When I was a kid, being alone meant I was safe.
There was no one there to be enraged or erratic; no one around who could elicit my fear. I became accustomed to seeking refuge in a quiet space.
Unfortunately, this habit seems to have followed me into adulthood.
I had learned that a safe life is a solitary one, but this sentiment became a catalyst for my lifelong tendency to isolate.
The pangs of loneliness aren’t even enough to draw me out.
I crave to be known while never wanting to be seen.
