Kiba had half the mind to go to the front and have them do that thing where they call someone’s name over the intercom to tell them their parents are looking for them. His mom did that to him once in a different store and it was really embarrassing. Shino would probably kill him, but it sure would be funny.
But looking for him was probably a better idea.

I love violent depictions of these Aburame babes, I understand aburames are kind, content individuals, but listen. They were BORN to kill, in a literal sense. It makes me wonder if their origin dedicated to a sick man who wanted to manipulate insects as weapons to do nothing, but KILL
Even at the beginning of birth of aburames, those insects have their own abilities to TAKE OUT PEOPLE and the only way they could continue doing so is to have a compatible host.
I’ve headcanon that the insects are the one doing the picking of who their compatible host is in the first place than a genetic thing, not for the now, but forever. This led me to think torune was a prodigy at a young age considering rinkiachu are very rare, and is rather feisty.
What makes insects and humans so different are their purpose. Insects know their purpose to the beginning to end, while humans evolve and change and is led with no purpose but to make their own. Which leads them to have a more complex structural system in their brains to fit in the same capacity of insects, but they’re still humans. They have morals, personalities, opinions etc.
Did I get off the wrong track? Idk, I just also like violent depictions in general not because aburames purposes are seemingly to kill at birth but I just like it.

man I am BUZZING with ideas for Shino fanfic. There's so little out there that I wanna contribute. Currently in the planning stage of a slow burn Reader/Shino where reader has entomophobia and potentially an insect-bite allergy. Enemies to lovers? Slow burn?! I don't know, I just remember watching Shino fight Zaku for the first time and it was terrifying. I miss early Naruto so much

The technology in Naruto is weird because it's specifically rural mid-eighties Japan, and areas far from city centers don't always get technology at a rate that makes "sense" (like mountain folks often getting electricity before indoor plumbing lmao)
The people of Konoha live decently (but not that well; there's potentially hazardous messes of pipes and powerlines and everything looks a bit scuffed) while the surrounding hamlets are even more underdeveloped and most don't have power yet. Looking further, there are hints of urban society just outside of view, such as the illustration of Team 7 walking under a modern highway overpass, and the ruins of Sora-ku, but they're not relevant to the story outside of being the reason why this military exists in the first place (There's a sort of sick irony in the fact that shinobi live and die to protect cities they will never get to see) so they remain in the periphery.
i fear naruto got it so right when it comes to building dynamics between characters. like what if these very specific characters were forced to develop an eternal bond even though they were picked entirely randomly to be on the same team for years to come?? god. what if the extrovert dog boy got put in a team with little miss social anxiety and autistic bug enthusiast, and they had no CHOICE but to become extremely protective of each other. what if the taijutsu specialist got put in a team with the kekkei genkai user and the weapons nerd, and they were FORCED to develop fighting tactics using TEAMWORK.
and then ur like. oh wait. all of the adult characters here also used to be in teams. and that's where the real fun begins, because oh my god, kakashi lost both members of his team?? that makes so much sense actually. wait, guy, ebisu, and genma were a team?? taught by choji's father, or all people?? yknow what. yeah. i can see that. poor choza. wait, what do you mean the SANNIN WERE A-
and then like. the way they did the same thing with the akatsuki too, by giving them the whole partner system. what if you were introduced to two new terrifying villains, and the first thing you found out about them is that they have different opinions about art. what if even their leader, self-proclaimed god, wasn't immune to the humanizing effects of bonds, because he also had his own partner by his side at all times. man.
