You wanna know what's the most romantic thing ever?
Invisible man and his invisible girlfriend.
Imagine being in love with someone solely because she's the only one who actually understands you,
Who actually feels what it's been like for you,
Who has had the exact same life and hardships as you,
And the best part?
She doesn't care about your looks,
She doesn't care if you have a pre pubescent moustache or the hottest of bodies.
She only cares if you'll hold her hand forever in this invisible judgemental world.
And in a poetically injustice sort of a way,
.........
She's the only one who sees you.
And I'd have it no other way.
Charles Bukowski, "no title," from What Matters Most is How Well You Walk through the Fire
“My soul is alight with your infinitude of stars. Your world has broken upon me like a flood. The flowers of your garden blossom in my body. The joy of life that is everywhere burns like an incense in my heart.”
— Rabindranath Tagore
I really try to have my love be a fire. Not just a little spark no. I want to engulf you in love. I want you to feel the warmth on your worst days. I want to ignite you with love. A love you can feel, a love you can taste, making it tangible, something you can wrap yourself in when everything else in your world is falling apart and you have no where else to turn or you will be spinning. I want to ground you with love. Something to sooth your wandering mind. Something you don’t have to search for or ask for i give it to you freely. Without strings or expectations. Without anything but tender pure raw love for you.
i will never understand people who don’t like history. how can you not be entranced by something so intertwined in every step you take and everything you set your eyes on? how can you not love something that explains everything from the ground you walk on to the clothes you wear and the tongue you speak? how can you not adore something that tells the tale of every human who ever walked the earth? how can you not like something so deeply human?
Kahlil Gibran, excerpts from Sand and Foam [ID in ALT]
I like art that depicts women not posing seductively or gracefully but simply existing as human beings.
can’t believe there’s going to be a new generation of pjo fans who automatically picture walker scobell when they think of percy jackson and not a hodgepodge of viria and burdge’s fanart. does that make me old
