Tom would be a they/he if he was born 30 years later, this is not up for debate
Henry’s a perfectionist, I mean, really-really kind of inhuman — very brilliant, very erratic and enigmatic. He’s a stiff, cold person, Machiavellian, ascetic and he’s made himself what he is by sheer strength of will. His aspiration is to be this Platonic creature of pure rationality and that’s why he’s attracted to the Classics, and particularly to the Greeks — all those high, cold ideas of beauty and perfection.

the postcard for september in the postcard club!
somehow, amazingly, i have hacked the impulse that makes me mindlessly scroll on my phone. it's not gone but i've paired it with a conscious thought process that goes like, "what's my goal here? i'm looking for entertainment, for information, for something that makes me feel more optimistic and interested in the world i live in..."
and because that kicks in between apps, too, i'm not doomscrolling as much. i'm intentionally seeking out posts or videos or whatever that actually mean something to me. when i'm not satisfied i walk away or pick up a book instead. most subtle yet impactful change i've gone through in years
i did not intentionally set out to change this. i've just been working on my mindset in general. hey, turns out having a good therapist again helps

GOD the facial acting is unreal. And it’s also HILARIOUS, like I can’t help but laugh with them every time. but it’s only possible in a show with characters as well-realized as this. like, it’s a simple interaction, but you can follow each individual beat so clearly, and the comedy arises so simply from the circumstance, and the insane history of their relationship. this is my favorite relationship in any show ever
