This is an AU story where a (custom) Ryder stays in the Milky Way, forming a relationship with Kaidan Alenko. I have to say that this is ultimately a love story between the two, and the quiet times they spend together just being are really nice! 😊

So thank you @kadaransmuggler for writing such lovely scenes, because the one of them on the observaton deck is seriously one of my favourite illustrations ever, and I would never have drawn it without you! 💕

an AU where everything’s the same except Tony gets chosen by a very powerful relic.

1. Ok, I don’t know which form could the relic have, though I’m imagining something which could wrap itself around Tony because he’s smoll and must be protected. One night Tony’s at the Sanctum waiting for Stephen and Wong to be back from some interdimensional diplomatic mission, and he falls asleep on the couch. Since he started to date Stephen, Tony has sort of developed a healthy sleep pattern, though is still extremely anxious about sleeping in an empty bed. Fact is: Stephen and Wong recovered a very powerful relic and brought it to the Sanctum, and the moment it sees Tony, decides it must protect this wonderful human, so it straight wraps around him like a blanket;

2. Wong is the first to step out of the portal, and he just stares blankly at the scene in front of him because he can’t believe to his eyes. The relic had never shown to be interested in finding a master, according to all the records he and Stephen could collect about it, and now, after a couple of days in the Sanctum, it decided to get attached to someone who’s not even a Sorcerer. If he was surprised when the Cloak chose Strange, now he’s questioning everything he knows about magic;

3. The Cloak, well, it’s extremely jealous of Tony’s relic, but they both agree that Tony can’t be left alone around Rogers and that’s frankly exhausting for all the people involved. Tony knows he will never get along with Steve any longer, but they are on speaking terms and Stephen already lectured the Cloak about not being a jerk with the Captain. He thought it got the message, now he has to do it all over again with two relics;

4. Tony is sure his relic is mad. How can something which always proved to be distant and cold toward humankind decide that he’s worthy of its attention and protection? Stephen tells him that he went through pretty much the same doubts when the Cloak chose him. This sorts of help Tony;

5. Wong tries to convince Tony to learn basic magic because the choice of the relic can indicate that it sees potential in Tony, but it doesn’t work because, despite dating Stephen and knowing that not all magic is bad, he’s still not confident about it and doesn’t want to be closer to it that is necessary;

6. At first, Tony is frightened as fuck to bring his relic on the field. Seriously, he doesn’t want to rip it or something because it’ll be to prove that he’s not worthy, though the relic itself has its own opinion about that. Stephen laughs his ass off when Tony tells him that. Basically, Tony threats the relic as if it’s his child and Stephen finds this too cute.

Theoretically if you were trying to come up with a vampire who had the gift/ability/supernatural power to time travel, how would you do it and what would it look like? 

Asking for, um, reasons. 

I know it’s farfetched but Breaking Dawn gave us Benjamin who manipulates elements and Siobhan who (maybe?) manipulates reality so someone who can manipulate time might… be… feasible? If you ignore like, physics and all that. And this would be more of a plot device than a character anyway. 

Alternatively a vampire who could grant wishes like a genie could also work. Or we could be super lazy and just make genies a thing in the Twilight universe. Esme finds an old lamp while going antiquing? 

AU where instead of “Bruce Wayne” being a mask he uses to cover up he’s Batman the Batman persona is the act and he’s just actually a dumbass himbo whenever he’s not doing Batman shit. Nobody in the Justice League knows this until one of them tells a really good joke and Batman just bursts out laughing and they all freak out trying to figure out if he got his with Joker-Toxin or something until they call the Batcave and Dick is just like, “Oh yeah that’s how he normally is when he isn’t Batman” and now they’re all freaking out for a different reason because what the fuck since when

I do genuinely believe that the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (and arguably the Zelda franchise as a whole, though i myself have played literally none of these games) is closer to fitting the description of ‘Tolkien-esque Fantasy’ than most other movies/shows/games/books etc that claim that label

and his conclusions about the messages in Zelda games are thematically very similar to the through-lines about friendship and love in LOTR, and what a lot of authors miss about what makes a fantasy story personal and memorable:

Bruce Wayne is used to ransom calls. They happen often enough despite his children's training, though it doesn't help that they sometimes purposely get themselves captured to later mock the kidnappers but he digressed.

This call was different. "We have Tim Drakes children" what did that even mean? Did they kidnap some random infants with black wisps of hair and blue eyes and just hope that Tim miiight have had a night of indiscretion in the last year or so to be concerned about?

Spoiler was the first on scene, actively teasing Red Robin about the whole fiasco. He swears they couldn't possibly be his and this had to be a scam of some kind. They had been assessing the situation from the rafters of the warehouse when another guy who looked like prime Batman Adoption Bait stormed the place and beat the crap out of the guys before zooming over to the infants.

The pair nodded at eachother and leaped down from the rafters and landed behind the man. He whirled around, holding the kids protectively to his chest, careful to support thier heads.

They asked him to confirm if he's the father which he did so readily. Red Robin got a wierd feeling though and asked to get a swab for testing, just to be sure.

The guy refused. That wasn't overly suspicious but the defensive way he acted was. Were these not his children? The bats chose to try a different tactic and asked him to wait for the police to arrive so they could confirm he was the twins father.

He ran.

Danny was having one of the worst days of his afterlife, and trust him, he's had some rough days. Being chased through Gotham at night by its local terrifying vigilantes while trying not to drop or harm the babies was hard, especially since he was trying to hide his powers. But really, what was he supposed to do?

He can't exactly just say "a ghost with genie powers overheard my mom wish for grandbabies from me and granted that wish but screwed us by making the other half of the babies DNA that of some random rich guy from another reality?" Cause thats going to go over soooo well.

Why do they care so much anyway? He doubts they're going to make the guy pay child support, not that Danny needs it. Then again its probably better to stay in this world where no one knows who he is and his children are safer...from his parents OSHA violations if nothing else.

Vlad couldn't enter this universe cause he couldn't get past the "source wall" whatever that was, but Danny and his babies had no problems so meh.

The bats had him cornered and hiding invisibly inside an abandoned arcade (why were so many places in this city abandoned???) the bats kept combing through the place looking for him. He knew they were about ready to give up looking for him when one of the babies sneezed.

The next thing he knew the littlest bat, Robin was right next to him, "Found you." Then he was knocked out.
