Age inclusiveity?

I know someones going to tell me "Just write your own!" Because yk what? I would... but... Can we stop putting ages in certain fics? You know... people past 30 can still be college students and there still can be an age gap between a 30 something year old and a fricking 40 some odd old man, right? When someone is college aged or in college they don't have to be the "traditional" age to be in college! They can be older than their mid twenties. I went to school with non-traditional students all the time when I was in school. I'm getting sick of writing material for myself... that's how I started this shit... I'm just letting off some steam, if you want to get your panties in a bunch about it go and complain to someone else. Not everyone is in their twenties. Not everyone in college is the traditional age. Just drop the age or put in something like Y/A = Your age, or "at your age" and make it vague to make it more age inclusive I know there's a whole crowd that hates putting in that shit, but you know what? That makes it more inclusive and more customizable! Plus there's a bit of advice floating out there somewhere not to put numbers in your stories. I know that usually has to do with years, and things like that, but yk what? I think it should apply to reader insert ages too. Anyone from the age of 18 on up can be in school or go to school. Anyone from the age of 18 up can be undergrad or grad. There are savants that to go to grad school at or before the age of 18. Its really rare, but they exist. I just wanted to vent, I'm sure once I kick the writers block that has attacked me once again, I'll be able to write my own fic, but until then I hope this at least gets writers to think about being more age inclusive.

IF YOU CARE AT ALL ABOUT PROTECTING FREE SPEACH ON THE INTERNET AND THE WAY WE USE IT TO COMMUNICATE PLEASE HELP ENSURE THAT THIS BILL DOES NOT PASS.
