I filled the rose petals in this design with pictures of my keffiyeh. The scarf was a gift from the friend I am raising money for. He gave it to me in mid October, he was very upset at the time and I was trying to comfort him. He took it off and put it on me and insisted I keep it. It is now one of my most prized possessions and I try to incorporate it in a lot of my designs.
ALL PROCEEDS from this and all my other designs are for this friend, to help him support his girlfriend in remaining safely in America until things calm down and to help his friends and family in Palestine and around the rest of the Levant who are being hurt directly and/or financially by the attacks on Gaza, the raids in the West Bank (this has unfortunately hit his family quite hard) and the collateral damage in surrounding countries. He will donate anything his family doesn't need to the Palestinian charities he works with. He's heavily involved in activism and I trust him to put the money where it can make the most difference.
Here are some examples of this design (found here) on products:
You can find my full shop here, I have a lot of different designs in a bunch of different styles.

Thank you to everyone who has helped out so far!
I added a black and white version of the dome of the rock cutout to my fundraiser. ALL PROCEEDS as always are for my Palestinian best friend to support his loved ones (some updates on him below):
Some product examples (older colorful version included on a sticker for comparison):
We should hear back from the student we're trying to help by the end of this week hopefully, to know if their family figured out passage to Egypt (money is not enough, they have to get approved to leave and I think whatever agency they were originally working with stopped functioning so they're trying to figure it out now). If that works out the money will probably go there, if not it will continue to fill more basic food needs for his other loved ones for now. His friends and family are generally spread through Gaza, Jordan, Lebanon and all over the West Bank, so they are varying levels of in need/accessible for help/contactable, the situation is always in flux and we send the money where it seems to be needed most each month.
I realize the template I use for these posts has gotten pretty formulaic recently and I haven't updated on how my friend himself is doing in a while, so here's a little update. He's still quite sad of course but he seems to be managing it better. It looks to me like he's put a little weight back on. He's going to start seeing a therapist soon which is a huge step for him, it's something he was very resistant to for many months. He's been regularly hiking again which is something that was a huge part of our friendship before the war that he was too sad to do much of for a long time. He's also still doing amazing things with his research and is on track to graduate on time with at least one very early post doc offer already (and he's been a wonderful mentor to the undergrads in his group throughout everything). I'm very proud of him. He's very touched by all the support and kind messages he's received from all of you!

The Jaffa orange holds a lot of symbolism for the Palestinian struggle. This varietal was developed in Palestine in the 19th century and named for the city Jaffa, where it was first produced for export. It has strong skin and few seeds, making it excellent for commercial use, so it was a major product from the region until the industry declined under British rule and disruption from WWII. Finally the establishment of Israel caused irreparable damage as groves were seized or destroyed by settlers. Israel took over production on seized land but never achieved the same success with the crop, and what remained of Palestine suffered ongoing violence and blockades preventing the industry there from further success. The Jaffa orange has remained a symbol of the Palestinian homeland, most notably in Ghassan Khanafani's short story The Land of Sad Oranges.
This orange with a Palestinian flag for a leaf can be found here on shirts, stickers, mugs and more. ALL PROCEEDS from Palestine related sales will go to my Palestinian best friend to help him bring his girlfriend over to America and to help his other loved ones around the Levant who have been/are being hurt directly and/or financially by the attacks on Gaza, the increasing Israeli raids in the West Bank and the collateral damage in surrounding countries. All designs available here.
This translates to "Palestine in our hearts". Poppies are common in Palestine and are often used as a symbol, representing the colors of the flag and blood shed upon the land.
As usual ALL PROCEEDS from my shop are for my Palestinian best friend to help him support his friends and family in Palestine and around the rest of the Levant who are being hurt directly and/or financially by the attacks on Gaza, the raids and economic devastation in the West Bank and the collateral damage in surrounding countries. He will donate anything his family doesn't need to the Palestinian charities he works with.
You can find this design here, it's a pretty good size and shape for printing as a poster. Here are some various product examples:

Design cut from from "Traité historique et pratique de la gravure en bois" by Jean Michel Papillon, 1766. I really prefer this one on the notebooks (pictured here) and stickers! Shop: https://www.redbubble.com/shop/ap/152993630
I'd like to highlight some of the notebook designs from my fundraiser:
As usual ALL PROCEEDS from my shop are for my best friend who is Palestinian. The extra income will help him support his friends and family in Palestine and around the rest of the Levant who are being hurt directly and/or financially by the attacks on Gaza, the raids and economic devastation in the West Bank and the collateral damage in surrounding countries. He will donate anything his family doesn't need to the Palestinian charities he works with.

Another poppy design pieced together from open source resources, this time in a map of Palestine. As usual ALL PROCEEDS from my shop are for my Palestinian best friend to help him take care of his loved ones affected by the violence and economic devastation in Gaza and the West Bank and the collateral damage in surrounding countries. Anything he doesn't need for his immediate friends and family will be donated to charity, wherever he thinks it will make the most difference (he's heavily involved in activism and very knowledgeable about that sort of thing).
You can find the above design here. Here is a sample of a few of the products it is available on, I think it will make a good sticker in particular:

I bought one of the new holographic stickers from my fundraiser to test, here's how it turned out. As always EVERYTHING I EARN from my shop is for my best friend, a Palestinian grad student living in America. The money is sent home to support his friends and family in Palestine and around the rest of the Levant who are being hurt directly and/or financially by the attacks on Gaza, the raids and economic devastation in the West Bank and the collateral damage in surrounding countries.
You can find all my work in my shop HERE. You can add filters by product (stickers, clothes, etc) on the left or go here to browse by design. Here is a sample of some of the work I have available, starting with the one shown above:
Thank you so much to everyone who has helped out!

My Palestinian best friend is an absolutely brilliant scientist and all around amazing person. He genuinely tries to help everyone he meets. It is heartbreaking seeing my dearest friend in so much pain. I wish there was more I could do to help.
A lot of his friends and family all around the Levant are being hurt directly and/or financially by the war. ALL PROCEEDS from the Palestine designs I have been selling will go first and foremost to helping his girlfriend afford to join him in America safely, and after that helping his other loved ones weather this war.
I know it's not much but my hope is to at least ease the financial toll this will take on him, grad students don't have much to begin with and having to stretch what he does have to protect those he loves is going to be really tough as this conflict drags on. I don't want him to have to leave his research, I can't tell you much for his privacy but I assure you it is brilliant work and he loves it so much. No scientist should have to choose between their passion and the safety of their family.
Above is the latest design, found here. Mostly made with stickers in mind, though you can also find it on shirts, notebooks, hats, etc. There are 5 more versions of a map with a keffiyeh pattern waiting for Redbubble's approval now. Full collection can be found here, with new designs being added pretty much daily in a variety of styles.
This has been the favorite and best seller so far:
Thank you to everyone who has helped out.
Starving grad student running a small Redbubble shop (initially for side income, now for fundraising for my Palestinian friend). Made this blog to share my designs, found here: https://www.redbubble.com/people/fairiedance/shopMy best friend (an absolutely brilliant scientist and compassionate social activist, seriously the best person ever) is a Palestinian grad student studying in America, and a lot of his friends and family are being affected by the genocide in Gaza and the fallout in the West Bank and surrounding areas. I have started selling Palestine related designs in my shop. EVERYTHING I RAISE he sends to his loved ones to help in various ways as the situation progresses.Designs not related to Palestine have been removed from my shop for now (probably for good at this point).
