Your professionalism post reminds me of Oscar’s mom saying on a podcast he was picked to represent Australia in an international karting competition not necessarily bc he was the best driver they had (although he was still a top driver) but bc they knew they could trust Oscar to rep Australia well, saying they knew he would never lose his temper, throw his helmet, etc.

that doesn’t surprise me one bit tbh. i’ve been watching his 2020 f3 season recently and even back then he would answer questions so thoughtfully and professionally and the others would go “yeah what he said” (a tradition that has continued to this day lol). like he’s got that mature diplomatic leadership spokesperson quality AND he’s a top tier driver. he really is the all around package 😌

also i think his outward maturity is a reflection of his inward maturity. my absolute favorite thing about oscar is that he is such a good learner. like when things go wrong he ALWAYS turns it into a learning experience, and even when they go right he still learns something from it and tries to figure out where he can do better. and he doesn’t suppress his emotions (regardless of what the media says) but he also doesn’t let them overwhelm him. instead he channels them and uses them in a productive way, which is part of the reason why he’s such a solid driver with so much growth potential

Honestly it annoys me so much that Max still got a point from the grand prix at the weekend, how is that fair.

Also surely they need to look at the whole 12 points expiring in 12 months rule. That allows a driver 3 of these mindless acts and one not quite so severe each year. He should have been disqualified.
