the mistake a lot of people make is that they are fooled into thinking that there's even such a thing as happiness...it's all a lie. what they should try for is contentment, simply to be content with themselves and their lives....happiness, for an older person, ie someone who has grown out of pure childhood, can only be fleeting, at best. like a shot of dope, it wears off all too soon. some children know real happiness, that is if they're not being abused...but they grow out of it....so even THAT happiness is fleeting....
