Tumblr ‘How To’s

I had no idea about Tumblr’s shadowban until it happened to me. Since then, surprisingly quite a few number of people have texted me about them getting shadowbanned as well. Now that I’m aware of it, I realize it’s becoming increasingly common for legit blogs like mine to get shadowbanned for no reason at all. So hope this helps everyone who has to unnecessarily go through this.

What does shadowban exactly mean?

Basically, your blog exists and mostly functions as it normally would, but Tumblr has made it invisible to everyone else. Tumblr lets you believe that everything is fine and that you can interact with others, but actually you can’t. (Look at the wikipedia definition here.)

Why does this happen?

From what I understand, blogs get shadowbanned since they are suspected of being bots, or just sketchy, or they might be going against Tumblr’s guidelines. I’m not sure, but it might also happen if someone has reported your blog. 

But more often than not, it’s just a tumblr glitch. 

How to tell if your blog has been shadowbanned? And most of the things that happen during this state.

(These are the things that I personally went through. It might not be the same for everyone. Also, my main blog (@that-damn-girl) was shadowbanned. My side-blogs were fine. So in case your main blog is fine but your side blog is shadowbanned, you might have a different experience.)

A Blue Banded Blood Moon : What causes a blue band to cross the Moon during a lunar eclipse? The blue band is real but usually quite hard to see. The featured HDR image of last week’s lunar eclipse, however – taken from Yancheng, China – has been digitally processed to equalize the Moon’s brightness and exaggerate the colors. The gray color of the bottom right is the Moon’s natural color, directly illuminated by sunlight. The upper left part of the Moon is not directly lit by the Sun since it is being eclipsed – it in the Earth’s shadow. It is faintly lit, though, by sunlight that has passed deep through Earth’s atmosphere. This part of the Moon is red – and called a blood Moon – for the same reason that Earth’s sunsets are red: because air scatters away more blue light than red. The unusual blue band is different – its color is created by sunlight that has passed high through Earth’s atmosphere, where red light is better absorbed by ozone than blue. ولتكمل حياتك بشكل طبيعي جدًا تعلّمْ فن الاستغناء، فالله الغني يغنيك عن كل شيء، يغنيك عن كل شعور واحتياج، يغنيك عن المادة بكل صورها ،يغنيك عن العلاقات بشتّى أنواعها ،يغنيك عن الدنيا قاطبةً، يغنيك ليرضيك ويرضى عنك ، وأنا أدون هذا المنشور تذكرت قصة الرجل الذي كان يلح بدعائه في المسجد ويدعو الله أن يسدد دينه ويقضي عنه ذاك الهم الذي قصم ظهره فسمعه رجل الأعمال الذي أوقفه الله ليصلي ركعات لله في ذاك المسجد وأتى به الكريم ليكون سببًا في قضاء دين هذا الرجل ،أتى به من آخر الأرض ليكون مفتاحًا للخير وقاضيًا للحوائج وسببًا من أسباب الله والله مسبب الأسباب، وبكل رحابة صدر سلمه المبلغ بعد أن سأله وأعطاه إياه ولم يكتفِ بهذا بل أعطاه البطاقة الخاصة به فيها كل أرقام التواصل وعرض عليه أن يقدم له المساعدة بأي وقت شاء وأي وقت أراد لكنه الاستغناء والاستعفاف والعفة منعته من قبول ذاك العرض وجاء رده عليه لو احتاج فأبواب السماوات مفتوحة له والرزاق هو الذي سيرزقه ويغنيه ويكفيه ويأويه وسيأتيه بالفرج ،هنيئًا له حسن ظنه بالله ويقينه التام بقبوله عند الله ،جعل بطاقته دعاءه وإلحاحه هو الوسيط بينه وبين ربه العزيز الغني المعطي الوهّاب،، ادعوه كدعاء ذاك الرجل وألحوا بالدعوات ، ادعوه بأسمائه الحسنى وستبهرون بالإجابة ،ادعوه وكونوا على يقين تام بأنها مجابة مجابة لا محالة..

اللهم آتنا في الدنيا حسنة وفي الآخرة حسنة وقنا عذاب النار
