god i still can’t get over how she’s wearing the vsfs ring during this clip
“Okay so, really, any time I’m even going to talk about, or reference another artist, I feel inclined to tell you that they’re not here. No one else is here, it’s just me, you’re stuck with me. But I am going to talk about another artist, because I feel like stadiums are huge, and it’s important to really communicate, so that’s what I’m doing. I’m going to talk about another artist, who has an album that just came out, and it’s so cool. The National just had an album come out! This band has influenced me beyond my ability to verbalize how much they’ve influenced me, just lyrically, their ability to set a scene, their ability to tell stories. And obviously Aaron Dessner is in The National, and he has completely changed my life. Yeah, so I was lucky enough to be able to write a song with them for their new album, which is called The First Two Pages Of Frankenstein. Check it out, stream it, buy it on vinyl! And I love them so much. They’ve been so kind to me, and so I’m not going to sing the song that we have on this new album. It’s called The Alcott—check that out, though. But I am going to sing Coney Island.”
— Taylor before playing Coney Island (piano) in Atlanta, GA on April 28th
Take me to the lakes where all the poets went to die. I don’t belong, and my beloved, neither do you.
Those Windermere peaks look like a perfect place to cry. I’m setting off, but not without my muse.
I want auroras and sad prose. I want to watch wisteria grow right over my bare feet, ‘cause I haven't moved in years. And I want you right here.
A red rose grew up out of ice frozen ground with no one around to tweet it. I bathe in cliffside pools with my calamitous love and insurmountable grief.
Take me to the lakes, where all the poets went to die. I don't belong, and my beloved, neither do you. Those Windermere peaks look like a perfect place to cry. I’m settin' off, but not without my muse.
No, not without you🖤
I know people have been asking to see the whole speech from last night. Sorry for the terrible quality it was pretty wet. Here’s the full speech leading up to Question…?
Taylor's Betty Speech (June 10):
And you know when I would try and come up with their names, it was just easiest for me to pull names from my real life. The names that were actually named after real people that I love very much were James, Inez and Betty!
remember back when taylor released the CIWYW lyric video and towards the end the written lyrics suddenly don’t match the background vocals and instead of the “to” that’s written the background vocals said “karlie” and then some parts of the lyrics were white-outted out with hims and his’s written on top? yeah… conveniently inconstant, i know 😌
u/happyfrogz gets it 😉🥰🤭 see their reddit post
Her singing "So tell me to run / Or dare to sit and watch what we'll become / And drink my husband's wine"
to "You don't need to save me / But would you run away with me?" / Yes"
I can’t believe she put this coder girl in the video iykyk
... Truman Show continued
After a moment of reflection, Truman utters his catchphrase: "In case I don't see you... good afternoon, good evening, and good night", bows to his audience and exits. The viewers celebrate his escape, and Sylvia races to greet him.
Taylor is being loud. Wow. She is really burning her artificial life down.
