okay so we have been talking about how misty goes over to taylor during certain parts of the song but i was just watching a recording online where they distort the sound to avoid copyright conflict and so i was watching the performance purely visually and not trying to think about the connection to the lyrics and it’s quite literally that

the ballerina keeps trying to run to taylor in between stunts

but she always has to go back to the man so they can perform another maneuver..

her performance with the man keeps pulling her away 😣

Am I the only one still thinking about Karlie's 1,2,3...? 🤔

I saw that Met post you posted and I never saw that article of Karlie. So what’s the actual story because Karlie said that they did meet in 2011 and talked about baking at Met Gala but I thought they always went with the story that they met at VSFS. Did they talk at Met but then didn’t hang out again until VSFS?

That's what i'm curious about too anon! I'm not entirely sure why they pushed the narrative of officially meeting at the VSFS 2013. Maybe someday we'll know exactly why. Maybe their Met Gala 2011 meeting was not the right time bc one (or both) of them were already in a relationship.. maybe they did stay in contact and was friendly with each other even before VSFS. Iirc, there was a rep secret session thing where taylor talks about how her and "joe" got together? (Not sure if these are the exact screenshots, i just googled it quickly)

"Later on, they met up again but things turned romantic" - hence maybe why they emphasized on VSFS '13? 😊 I feel like Taylor was talking about her actual history with Karlie here. Joe has always been the Karlie stand-in, the fact that Toe's "first meeting" was at the Met??? Mimicking Kaylor's first actual (recorded) meeting at the Met Gala 2011? And then the "next time they met things turned romantic" mimicking Kaylor's "official" meeting at VSFS?? None of it was accidental.🤭

Okay, just earlier today I did a post like this with the connections between JackOLantern’s messages and You’re Losing Me….but now the Karma music video is out and I AM LOSING MY SHIT. I’m 113% certain there’s things I’m missing, BUT OH WELL.

(This line always stuck out to me in JackOLantern’s last big message. Usually the phrase is reversed “A wolf in sheep’s clothing.” Which suggest a predator pretending to be prey for a chance to attack. “Sheep in wolf’s clothing” would mean prey pretending to be a predator…perhaps to avoid being attacked by the other wolves? Did pumpkin anon just put into words what being closeted feels like PERFECTLY? Holding that line from their message up to this scene, where taylor is behind the mask of a devil….and then smiles and waves once she takes it off…..i’m thinking sooo many thoughts about this.)

in this scene, not only does it have a flourishing garden with patches of daisies…it also has a castle on the hill that she has wandered far away from, happy-go-lucky childlike body language, AND wizard of oz imagery….

(This feels the way the fence is described in JackOLantern’s story…with all good, safe, unbothered things on one side, and unknown depths of darkness on the other….also the 3 grim reapers are an…interesting choice….)

(I MEAN COME ON!!! She is skipping around with a very childlike, lighthearted body language, and then she freaking blows purple glitter over TOWARDS HER ENEMIES……..!!!)

also worth noting that there is a little rabbit hidden in the garden…weren’t there some epic alice in wonderland connections made to JackOLantern recently? 🤔

Note: the entire boat/pirate/nautical message + Ice Spice has a lyric that mentions waving white flags - which brings to mind pirates and surrender for me personally. (which is….exactly what that message was about. the main character surrendering herself to the bad guys.)

I understand Taylor wanting to have their second child close to their first. That’s valid, and the biological clock is a real thing. What I don’t understand is why she didn’t get real with us and warn us it was coming. Then we could make our decisions whether or not to stick around for the next two years, ten years, forever closet … whatever the new plan is supposed to be.

She’s always so careful to keep us hanging on just a little while longer. Why not fucking level with us, for once? Yes, we’re all adults and she doesn’t owe us a coming out. That doesn’t mean it’s fun to be attacked by the rest of her fans and subjected to constant homophobia from them, which she KNOWS flares up when the antis get a “win” like this. All she had to do was give us a heads up so we could prepare ourselves, or be honest about her plans and let us tap out if we need to.
