people are still surprised at how far taylor could go when referencing karlie, when she literally made a king of my heart puzzle with 252 pieces on november 25, 2018, which counts exactly 252 days to karlie's birthday. (x) || Woooow! š® š¤ š š„¹
Is this the end of all the endings? Reputation puzzle.
Why haven't I seen the "King of My Heart" puzzle before? š„¹

Is this a koincidence or is this a wrap as Karlie mentioned in the first post?
Oh! @iwanthermidnightz also pointed out another interesting thing Kar posted in the first week of the month. (x) š¤
listen all that Iām saying is that Iām having heart palpitations over taylor saying let the games begin on october 21 2018 and releasing midnights on october 21 2022 because NONE OF IT was accidental. none of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Exactly. St. Patty's was Friday.

The Gold / Invisible String in Bejeweled mv?
Ok i got to re-watching Bejeweled to start my weekend, and idk if this is intentional but i love how when the prince's portrait was shown, a white thread (not gold/yellow) was also in the shot:
Which is the contrast to the (golden) invisible string string shown in Willow, which ofc we already know had a callback here at the beginning of the Bejeweled music video:
The "Gold" that she followed here was when the golden pocket watch appeared in front of her. "Exile expires in 3.. 2.." leading to a Golden elevator, which takes her to each floor, different eras. (Eras tour egg? also does this mean speak now will be released before the tour..)
On her journey after following the "Gold" she stops at the 5th floor (1989 era / 2014) and meets a woman.. (which also reminds me of the fishbowl scene/blue room in the lover house)
As already mentioned by people before, the scene with the cocktail drinks, might be a callback to Delicate's lyrics:
This ain't for the best / My reputation's never been worse, so / You must like me for me / We can't make any promises / Now can we, babe? / But you can make me a drink
Oh, damn, never seen that color blue
But let's not forget that Delicate also connects to Invisible string's lyric!
Delicate (2017):
Dive bar on the East Side, where you at? / Phone lights up my nightstand in the black / Come here; you can meet me in the back
Invisible String (2020):
A string that pulled me / Out of all the wrong arms right into that dive bar / Something wrapped all of my past mistakes in barbed wire / Chains around my demons, wool to brave the seasons / One single thread of gold tied me to you
So yeah, to summarize, she met her "Gold" / Invisible String at a Delicate time during the (pre) 1989 era?
āDonāt put me on display ācause you donāt own me. Donāt try to change me in any wayā
āWe twist in our self-made cages and pray that we arenātāright this minuteāabout to make some fateful life-altering mistake⦠For all of us who have tossed and turned and decided to keep the lanterns lit and go searchingāhoping that just maybe, when the clock strikes twelve⦠weāll meet ourselves.ā
The entire Eras Tour is a commentary on fame. It isnāt just abt her masters, itās abt Taylor Swift the brand. Itās abt her finally deciding to put her happiness before her fans. Gagaās Applause followed by You Donāt Own Me. The Archer transitioning into Fearless w the lover house burning down. The seven spoken word poem. Donāt Blame Me/LWYMMD w the bird cage. Wildest Dreams/Bad Blood w the lover house burning down again. Giant Anti Hero Taylor screaming at the audience to see her. The (closet) door descending during Karma. The Late Night Edition thatās available exclusively at the shows w āDear Reader youāre losing me.ā Itās all addressed to the fans. Sheās done being a mirrorball trapped in a display case.
I honestly canāt get over the video of Taylor looking at the lesbian couple of blowing them a kiss. I saw it like 20 times already. The way she held her head straight the whole time but as soon as she saw them she like melted, that little smile, her eyes look sad like she is remembering something, 15 second stare and then kiss.
That whole thing was understanding that only people that know it will get. She talked to them (and us) without saying anything. Iām so sad for her but at the same time iām so proud and happy because she seems to be getting more and more comfortable š„¹
I know, this was so sweet. And you said it, seeing her facial expressions change⦠people who get it, get it š
So now that The Alcott has officially been released I wanted to do an analysis of some of the lyrics and how I think they might relate to Taylor. Disclaimer: I know Aaron said Matt wrote the main parts of the song and Taylor only added the dialogue parts so many of these connections might be a coincidence, but I also think itās possible Taylor could have had more input on the song than theyāre letting on since there are so many themes and motifs that perfectly relate back to Taylorās music. This is just meant to be a fun clown theory
Like many others pointed out, the whole first verse is very āHelp Iām still at the restaurant, still sitting in a corner I haunt, cross legged in the dim light, they say āwhat a sad sightāā and seems like the opposite pov of RWYLM
āItās the last thing you/I wanted, itās the first thing I/you do, I tell you that I think Iām falling back in love w/ youā // āI love you aināt that the worst thing you ever heardā // āUh oh Iām falling in love, oh no Iām falling in love againā
āI had to do something to break into your golden thinkingā // āLost in the labyrinth of my mindā¦you would break your back to make me break a smileāā this is directly related to the following ā¬ļø
āAnd there you are sitting as usual w/ your golden notebook, writing something about someone who used to be meā¦I sit there silently waiting for you to look upā // āDid you ever hear about the girl who got frozen, time moved on for everybody else, she wonāt know it, sheās still 23 inside her fantasy, how it was supposed to beā¦and youāre sitting in front of meā -> Taylor is stuck in her own head reminiscing and writing about the past (theĀ golden age) and this person sitting in front of her is trying to break her out of this nostalgic escapist mindset. I think this may be a direct reference to the film Midnight in Paris which is all about nostalgia and escapismāmuch like the song Paris on the Midnights 3am editionāand specifically to golden age thinking, a phrase used in that film. Here are some tidbits that I think are worth noting
@chickawah23ā made a really great post about the possible Midnight in Paris connections. Hereās a screenshot from that post that does a good job summarizing the important parallels
There definitely seems to be a connection between Midnights, the stories of 13 sleepless nights, and the folklore chapters that were released in Aug 2020, specifically the sleepless nights and escapism chapters. I think itās interesting that exile is the last track of the first chapter and first track of the second chapterāalmost like the second chapter is a direct continuation of the first which again links Midnights to this escapism theme. And thereās been a lot of exile references lately (exile ends, doors, 8/3, etc)
Even though the back and forth dialogue between Taylor and Matt at first sounds argumentative, I think it could also be read in a positive way. This person is going to ruin and wreck Taylorās plans and Taylor is going to gladly let them. She welcomes the curse on their house. āIām begging for you to take my hand wreck my plans thatās my manā // āFor you I would ruin myself a million little timesā // āI wish to know the fatal flaw that makes you long to be magnificently cursedā¦Heās gonna burn this house to the groundā¦So yeah itās a fire itās a goddamn blaze in the dark and you started itā // āDear reader, burn all the files, desert all your past livesā // Taylor is the one that chooses to burn the lover house down. Sheās the one holding the lighter on the Midnights album cover and striking the match in the lavender haze mv (hereās a really great post about what that might signify). Furthermore, the willow performance and description make me think that the curse on Taylorās house was actually her own doingāsheās not only letting this person wreck her plans but is helping them do so. So the burning, wrecking, ruining, cursing/spell casting are all metaphors for the same thingādestroying Taylorās closet and possibly her career as a result of that
Honorable mention: The beat almost sounds like a heartbeat no? Wildest Dreams??
