What Albatross did was truly horrible, I'm not downplaying it, but he's more than just a "scary edgy crazy old man with knives who went crazy because of magic". The reason Albatross did what he did was because he'd been abused by Lagoon his entire life. His situation is truly horrible at its core.

Since StoneMover had a fox that brought him food, I think we should have animus familiars, and I think that it would be impressive to have a scavenger familiar that can gather supplies, as well as protect you from threats.

I love that idea! They should have animal pals! I actually never thought of that. I think the more popular thing among animuses (animi?) would be like things enchanted into familiars, the more sparkly and impressive the better, just to showcast their power. I imagine Anemone would have enchanted herself a dolphin made out of water, cause according to Coral they are distantly related to Seawings.
