GET KOSA TRENDING.

GET KOSA TRENDING.

STOP SCROLLING NOW!

AS OF FEBRUARY 21ST, 2024, WE GOT FIVE DAYS UNTIL THE DAY OF DECISION OF THE KOSA BILL, WHICH WILL CAUSE MASS CENSORSHIP ROUND THE INTERNET IF PASSED. OR DOOMSDAY. WE NEED EVERYONE TO KNOW ABOUT THIS AND CONTRIBUTE. I'M NOT GIVING UP ON YOU ALL.

WE'RE DOWN TO THE WIRE BUT WE CAN'T GIVE UP YET. IF WE GIVE UP, EVERYTHING IS OVER. IF WE DON'T, AT LEAST WE HAVE A CHANCE.

I'M THE ONE WHO SOUNDED THE ALARM, AND I'M NOT GOING TO CURL UP AND DIE YET.

Reblog this post in every LEGAL way you can under the Tumblr guidelines with the appropriate tags. TELL AND TAG EVERYONE YOU KNOW, then add the tags to see below... and more if you can think of any complying.

Visit badinternetbills.com if you want to find a way to defeat KOSA. It WILL NOT take much of your time. Reblog with any other information or sources, too-- but make sure to reblog if you can.

Reblog if you support lgbtq+ content.

Reblog if you support questioning queer youth and/or abused youth getting the information they need.

Reblog if you support Ao3 and/or other sites that wholeheartedly preserve talentedly made media.

Reblog if you're going to repost this on other sites than Tumblr and spread the word across Twitter, Tik Tok, Pinterest, or elsewhere, alongside the link to badinternetbills.com.

Reblog if you think KOSA is unfair and shouldn't be anyone's problem -- including the adults ALL OVER THE DAMN EARTH forced to face the mass censorship it causes because "think of the American Children!".

Reblog if you support internet activism and Palestine.

Reblog if you hate fascism or censorship, and don't want actually serious and helpful conversations censored on the internet.

Reblog if you value the internet in any way at all whatsoever.

CHECK THIS PETITION, TOO! https://www.change.org/p/stop-the-kosa?recruiter=1331807538&utm_source=share_petition&utm_medium=sms&utm_campaign=psf_combo_share_initial&utm_term=psf&recruited_by_id=57368c40-d0fd-11ee-98f7-2175430f819f&share_bandit_exp=initial-36809664-en-US

(Also, please reblog with at least "stop kosa" as a tag and not "kosa". I made the mistake of not adding just "kosa" as a tag...)

We won't let this stand any longer. Let's start a riot and get this trending.

there is something so darkly comical about tumblr potentially outliving twitter

tumblr, which is held together with duct tape and madness, run by three raccoons in blood stained Yahoo! hats and a handful of crabs, its only discernible source of income the sale of shoelaces from an inside joke so inside no one knows the original source anymore and fake blue checkmarks... that website still lives on

truly the cockroach of social media and I love it for that

About the fanfics thing

I'm not gonna do it...

I have one in the making right now, and that one will be posted when it is complete, but anything else won't be happening.

While writing said request, I realized why I quit in the first place. I just CANT write. I have problems sitting and writing for long periods of time. And when I do get a burst of inspiration it's only for five minutes and then I can't anymore. I get so frustrated while writing too. I get so frustrated I start crying. I'm doing this for my personal health really.

I do art commissions however and will stay present in the slasher fandom. I will be posting my drawings regularly, not all will be slasher related.

I'm sorry to anyone who wanted to make a request and didn't message me in time.

Sincerest apologies, Spindlebugz (Finn)

Witchcraft: Binding

Binding is a method to restrict or restrain an individual entity on a metaphysical level, often to prevent them from hurting themselves, you, or others. This is a more defensive form of protection magic as opposed to an offensive approach. I would recommend using this in a dire or dangerous magical situation. This does not harm the being, but it is affecting their will. As always, It is vital to be spiritually and psychically protected before, during, and after preforming this.

Brief Binding History:

The people of Ancient Greece practiced or preformed binding rituals through their own method called Katadesmos. The enactment of this was carving or inscribing a spell or curse onto a tone tablet. Do whatever you wish or need to do, but please be careful or cautious with yourself and this information (Especially if you lack experience in Binding.)

Common Binding Methods:

A Binding related incantation, prayer, song, or chant. You can make one for yourself, or find one, and use it in thoughts when needing to be discreet.

Knot or braiding spells set with intention and activated through tightening the knots. Using intention towards the individual is a very key aspect of this. You can choose specific twine of varying strengths, even using their hair or a barbed wire is effective.

Visualization with intent whilst wrapping a poppet, jar, candle, or other vessel of representation of said entity with string or wax to seal the spell and confine their movement. You can also do this using a lid.

Inscribing, Drawing, Carving, or Tracing Binding Wards, Sigils, or Runes with intent onto a candle or scroll, proceed to wrap the item afterward. Dripping wax or scribbling on a Taglock of target.

Casting a Spell-jar or Bottle with something representing them, scroll with your intention. As aforementioned, seal lid and place in a shady spot. This is their vessel, so use something to constrain them.

I tried experimenting with a new art style, and I definitely need some practice but I think it's cute!

I Tried Experimenting With A New Art Style, And I Definitely Need Some Practice But I Think It's Cute!

My Ocs Alys and her Grandmother, Alma.

I do have a story for these two but it'll have to wait until I'm able to figure out an art style for them. I like them in this one though.

Just a heads up for anyone female/feminine presenting that has an interest in mushrooms.

The online mycology community is dominated by middle-aged cis men who are generally speaking, hitting retirement age, and have ample time on their hands. They know little to nothing about the online world, but they seem to know a shit ton about fungi and boy are they eager to share their knowledge with anyone who will listen (even if you haven't asked for it).

They will belittle you, they will make you doubt yourself, your knowledge and your skills because they do not like women/feminine presenting people knowing more about something "outdoorsy" than them. Even if you state you are still learning, etc. They will, for whatever reason, assume you are competing with them.

You will get spoken down to in the mycology (online) community more often times than not, but it will always be one of these middle-aged men that's doing the intellectual degrading. If they are called out for their rude behaviour, they plead ignorance under the guise of "just trying to share knowledge."

The online mushroom community is also rather incestuous. Everyone with big accounts is known by everyone, and even most of the smaller accounts all follow each other. That means little cliques within the community form. Mainly again, cis middle-aged men share and encourage, repost, and advertise each other's photography/discoveries/research but will never share a woman's work on their page or even credit a woman on their page.

They also LOVE to find young men to "mentor" but will never offer the same "mentorships" to women within the community (the exception to this being women with PHDs or degrees relating to nature sciences etc.) They will mentor women with higher educations, the woman in that case is usually more knowledgeable than them by a mile but she is made to believe she needs the man "mentoring" her to establish her space in the community or gain recognition in some way.

This is just my own observations. It may not reflect your time in online mycology spaces. But yeah, just a heads up that a lot of the online spaces for mushroom fanatics are male lead and a little bit toxic imo.

Edit: Also, in general, mobile phone photography is still a massive taboo among photographers online. If you don't own/use a camera for your photography, getting it shown/promoted within the online community is damn near impossible.
