- Makoto isn’t used to having romantic feelings for someone, so the moment he realizes he likes you, he starts blushing at the simplest things—whether it’s you smiling at him, calling his name, or accidentally brushing hands.

- If you’re good at something, he’ll try to get better at it just to impress you. Unfortunately, he’s not particularly skilled at most things, so it usually backfires—but hey, at least he’s trying!

- He gets flustered around you but tries his best to act normal (and fails miserably). He stumbles over his words sometimes, especially when you compliment him.

- You’ll catch him looking at you with soft eyes, only for him to panic and look away immediately. He’ll pretend he was “just lost in thought,” but his red face gives him away.

- Since he doesn’t know how to express his feelings directly, he shows them in little ways—offering to help carry your things, remembering your favorite snacks, or making sure you’re okay when you seem down.

- No matter what you do, Makoto is your biggest cheerleader. He genuinely believes in you and will always remind you how amazing you are. His heartfelt encouragement comes so naturally, and when you thank him, he gets all shy.

- If someone flirts with you, he won’t say anything, but his mood shifts slightly—his smile becomes a little forced, and he fidgets more. He convinces himself that he’s just being silly, but deep down, he hopes you’ll notice him too.

- Because he’s so honest, he sometimes lets things slip without meaning to. Like, if someone asks him why he’s smiling, he might blurt out, “Oh, Y/N just looked really cute today—WAIT.” Cue instant regret and a flustered mess.

- Kyoko, Sayaka, and even Leon pick up on his obvious crush. They tease him about it constantly, and he always gets flustered, insisting it’s “not like that” (even though it very much is like that).

- He debates for weeks on how to tell you he likes you. Should he write a letter? Say it casually? Wait for the perfect moment? He keeps hyping himself up but then chickening out at the last second.

- When he finally confesses, he’s bright red and stammering, but his words are so full of sincerity that it melts your heart. He’ll apologize for rambling, but his nervousness only makes him even more endearing.

- The instant you say you like him too, his face lights up with the purest, brightest smile. He’ll probably ask, “Wait, really? You’re not joking, right?” before realizing how dumb that sounds.

- If you date him, he’s so devoted to you. He might not be super experienced, but he’ll always do his best to make you smile and support you no matter what.

- Makoto isn’t the intimidating type, but if someone makes you uncomfortable or upsets you, he’ll stand up for you in a heartbeat—even if his voice shakes a little. He’s not afraid to put himself in danger for the people he cares about.
