... I need to try this!
This is the only tiktok you'll ever need, I've made about 13 of these and I'm not stopping anytime soon
Very good information for any fanfiction feader on AO3.
After making this poll about the panic that comes when Archive of Our Own goes down, there seems to be a chunk of folks who didn't know they could download fics for offline use, or don't know how to go about it. Here's a quick tutorial for that.
You do not need an AO3 account (unless the fic you are trying to download is restricted to AO3 users only) you only need an internet connection and a device to download to, whether it's PC or a phone.
These instructions work for both desktop and mobile. At the top of the fic, where the chapter index is, there will be the download option on the right side, and an 'Entire Work' button the left side.
For One-Shots: Go ahead and click the download button.
For multiple chapter fics: In order to have the fic download all together instead of downloading each chapter individually, make sure you select the 'Entire Work' button. Like the names says, it displays the entire work on the webpage, and will download the entire fic with all it's chapters in the correct order when you go to download.
Click the download button. You've got a couple of options:
AZW3 - Amazon-developed ebook format that is designed for Kindles and Amazon's systems. Good if you want to read off of a kindle.
EPUB - Standard file format for Ebooks and is basically used as the default for pretty much most ebook readers. This is what I prefer to use when downloading to my phone.
MOBI - An older version of the AZW3. Older but standard as well.
PDF - Downloads the fics as a PDF. Can be read anywhere you can open a PDF.
HTML - Downloads an offline version of the exact webpage you are looking at. Fine if you want to keep the 'look' of AO3 but you can't change the text size or reading style like you can with ebook formats.
Not sure which one to download? Use EPUB since it's standard and readable by pretty much everything, retains images too.
You now have your fic downloaded to your device and can read it on whatever reading app you have. YAY!
Do keep in mind that these are offline files that do not synch with Archive. So if you download an ongoing fic that updates or is edited since you last downloaded, you will need to download it again to have the updated version.
Happy Reading!
You don't know me (on Wattpad) https://my.w.tt/AoWiXvg0FW Error hasn't lived a grate life, with the horrors of his job constantly haunting his mind he stopped doing many a thing to just feel vaguely okay. Ink starts to take notice of this an it makes him question how well he knows the other.
So I was finishing up playing in the latest Splatoon 3 Splatfest, and during this I learned something during the end of match celebration animation. Sometimes adjacent Inklings/octolings after their celebration pose they will fist bump. It was so cute and I wasn't expecting it!
Ok, so, this is a set of fan fic ideas I want to put out into the world for anyone who wants to write it. I have 1 I am writing a little about but it is mostly for personal, haha funny idea, reasons.
The first is one I have seen happen only once I think. Basically Cucurucho being made Phil's ward/child and Phil having to juggle taking care of three kids. With Cheyenne and Cucurucho getting into arguments and Phil having to deal with a bear with basically creative mode.
Second. Cucurucho and Cheyenne (I probably spelled that wrong... But I am not bothered enough to check now.) are the same people. Cheyenne is trying to keep it a secret from everyone, only for Phil to figure it out instantly and instead joke with Cheyenne about it as well as to others in a nonobvious way, especially so with other islanders who are out of the loop while also coming up with plausible excuses for Cheyenne when the baby has to go off and be Cucurucho. This leads to Cucurucho showing favoritism to Phil, which everyone is confused about, while also being confused about why the federation workers are listening to Phil or hanging out with him.
Three, Cheyenne and Cucurucho are not the same person but something happened to Cheyenne and Phil in a broken mental state started seeing Cucurucho as his son. Leading Cucurucho to having to play along or something very bad will happen, either to the bear or the island, and as time goes on Cucurucho starts caring for Phil as much as the man cares about the bear.
Four, this one is kind of out of place with the rest because it completely rewrites the QSMP (and it was completely my idea). The start of the premise (and the entire background of the idea) is Philza completely secluded himself in his hard-core world after Techno and Wilbur's deaths (how is up to interpretation.) and basically disappears for so long that he became a legend alongside Technoblade.
Sometime during Phil's seclusion, a research organization dedicated to studying Mods and updates was formed under the name of "the Federation." The group had initially intended to have robots collect and test any dangerous mobs. Some time later while watching their prototype one day in the field in action, they realized, "Oh sh** these things can develop sentience!" this was after the group had developed a whole division of these robots. Instead of scraping the project, though, the group took a different approach and decided to create a subdivision of the federation to run one of their research servers, Quesadilla Island, directly and to give a permanent, safe, home for the atomita to become players. Over time, Cucurucho, the initial prototype, and their team dedicated themselves to collecting modded materials and mobs for other research facilities since their island did not yet have a research facility. Then one day Cucurucho cashed an avian wing smuggling operation and destroyed the entire organization, saving 3 young avians and a young mimic disguised as an avian in the process. Since it was to dangerous to leave these young avians to fend for themselves Cucurucho took it upon themselves (with the help of their team) to raise the group, and once the 4 were old enough to be able to make their way in the Hub they set them off with Federation backing to allow them to achieve whatever goal they had in mind.
A few years later all 4 made their way back to the federation and applied to be scientists for the organization, while desiring to work on the island they had called home for so long and to see the one who had raised them again. This lead to a whole research division being established on Quesadila island with other scientists joining the initial 4 as permanent research residents on the island. With some of the automata that were in Cucurucho's division finding their calling and personalities with all the new residents. While Cucurucho continued on with his work as a search and retrieval worker with his remaining team while also checking if any damage or alterations the residents made to the island had caused any permanent damage. During one such check where a researcher -cough cough Tubbo cough cough- destroyed part of the ancient wall on the island and woke a dragon up who had soon flown away. During Cucurucho's check of the area he found 12 dragon eggs who soon after hatched into dragonlings that Cucurucho basically decided they had to take care of, though over time many of the dragonlings worked their way into the hearts of the island residents and made those residents their parents, all except 2, Cheyenne and Talullah, both of whom and been born with guardian angles who were the souls of Phil's long past friends (the two can see and hear their own and each others angles, but no one else really can).
Cucurucho had to keep doing his job though and one day with Cheyenne and Talullah following along with his team as they went off server to collect mobs and materials for the residents to study one of the updates the group accidentally found themselves on Phil's hardcore world with a Philza who was ready to kill the intruders that were trying to steal his sniffers. However, the team manages to sedate Philza after a long battle that injured both sides. Cheyenne and Talullah's guardian spirits recognised their friend and father and unintentionally lead to Cheyenne and Talullah refusing to leave without the man, especially with how injured the man was. And Cucurucho, ever the bleeding heart for those he loves brings the man with them while trying to figure out how he was going to try and get the man to stay once he was fully healed to keep the two dragonlings happy.
For me, my intention in the future of my little idea is that over time while recovering Philza meets the other residents and dragonlings and gets to know them, before an event happens that basically locks down the subnet of servers the Federation was using locking all residents in the subnet unable to contact the outside world or get out into it, leading the group into a situation where they have to set up for survival and figure out what happened, with Talullah and Cheyenne endearing themselves to Phil while their guardian spirits whisper for the man to stay as Phil starts to get to know Cucurucho even better (like in a co-platonic-parent way).
And, that's it. Those are my ideas.
If anyone uses them or finds fics similar to them, maybe message me them? I would love to read them! Or, if you need help bordering out any of these ideas I am happy to help out and talk through some possibilities.
Have a nice day!
QSMP Philza update, go watch the Wednesday the 25th and Friday 27th updates if you don't want to be spoiled.
Nothing really major happened Wensday, philza went exploring for a bit after getting on to see if there was more black concrete, which there was.
He then spawns in his Minime who he later names Little Twat (not a joke).
Then he spends an hour and a half with Fit and Tubbo talking to the new Cururucho AI at spawn, occasionally getting flirted at, told stuff that could not be true and such, and trying to exploit the AI.
They then went to lucky duck before returning to spawn because Tubbo needed to get his minime Kitkat back after it randomly disappeared. So a random fed. worker came, had Tubbo dance then Phil got board and decided to work on leveling his minime, leading him to dig down under spawn to tr and find iron I believe leading him to drop down into a massive wold edit hole. Cucurucho then joins Phil stares at the strange area before giving Phil a quest to build an aquarium.
Phil then went off to gather materials and mobs for the aquarium, was joined by Fit for a while before Fit leaves, after which Phil spends a few minutes exploring before returning to spawn near the nino to "build the aquarium," if you count an outdoor aquarium with 5 tanks and no other infrastructure. However it counted so Cucurucho have Phil his requested building block rainbow glass or at least the components for it. Phil then went to gather sand for the glass, spent time looking at glitched terain for an hour or so. After which he headed home, hat a none cannon chat with BadBoyHalo and Royer about whether the Brazil or Vagus trips were better, before Phil went off to do a few cores before getting off for the day at the nest.
Friday had some lore happen, but it was nothing major or egg related. If anything it related back to the bird cage with the "wise crow" comment.
To give a better flow of events, Phil woke up, decided to work on upgrading his now 2 mini me's, affectionately called Little Twat, and Little Shit (normally, I would censor a curse, but the name is the curse word so...). With Little Shot asking for a weird mushroom (twice.). After doing some of the Minime quests he went home, had an existential crisis due to the black concrete at his face spreading, then went inside to check the message chest, finding nothing. Then while doing further checks he found strange vines on the inside walls of Tallulah's seed garden, which he followed to the back wall to find a picture of a skull with vines on it and a book asking if Phil remembers his time before the server and promising help.
Side note, I personally want to say that that is Kristen, the goddess of death, trying to communicate with him. It seems to out of place to be the federation, and with how different Phil's ticket is from the rest it has to point to outside interference. And one of Kristen's main ways of talking with Phil previously when lore related back to his wife revolved around crows. So her leaving a critic crow book? Seems plausible.
Plus, sleep is often described as the line between life and death.
Phill took some pictures then called Fit to come see, with Pac joining along, only for when Phil brought them to the area of the message to find it gone like it was never there and all his proof gone. This sent Phil into a minor panic that he tried to brush off, even though booth Fit and Pac believed Phil had seen something.
To get his mind off that, Phil joined Pac and Fit's dungeon crawl, during which he lost his shield, before the group separated after completing the odd triple dungeon with Phil exploring a bit to find materially to replace his shield, followed by minime item collection, a brief dungeon raid, raiding egg backpacks to get the means to get a minime item (a type of mushroom), before he goes hole, does a brief check of stops the eggs loved, ended up back at the dream spot, before going home and getting off.
Also, on the 29th, two messages's appeared on the QSMP Twitter involving the 4th, one involves the train station, one seems to involve Cheyanne.
No clue what it means, other then something happening November 4th.
Good night all.
I love this idea.
I have a headcanon and I want to share it

Basically Danny changes his last name cuz science community thinks Fentons are crackpots when he goes to work for Nasa :) Also its like 1am right now so ill probably do a bit more editing in the morning
“Aykroyd.”
The administrator, Roger, raised his brow. “That’s a bit on the nose, isn’t it?”
Danny laughed. “You guys gave me permission to pick my new last name, and I pick Aykroyd.” If NASA wanted him to replace Fenton then of course Danny would have to make it fun.
Roger sighed and typed it into his computer. “If you were not such a record-breaking twat, I would have to tell you to pick something else.” He reached his hand across the table and shook Danny’s. “Congratulation Candidate Fenton, you are now Astronaut Aykroyd.” Roger frowned in disgust. “Why does it have to be an alliteration?”
“It’s fun and easier to remember,” Danny grinned and got out of his chair. “I'll take a picture of Earth and sign it for you. It’ll be worth something someday.”
Roger chuckled. “It’ll be worth something, all right.”
It didn’t take long to learn what the science community thought of his parents when he first started training. Pitiful looks and bouts of laughter when he mentioned his parents always came up.
“Dam, the crackpot scientists had a kid. Hopefully, they didn’t fill your head too much with all that ghost stuff.” An older candidate had poked fun of him. Danny learned quickly to keep his mouth shut about ghosts soon after. The Fenton name was a joke in the science communities. He didn’t quite blame NASA for asking him to change it.
NASA probably would have dropped him if it weren’t for his ghost half, funny enough. He excelled in all the physical training, speedrunning him through the ranks. The teachers had been flabbergasted when he ran the flight simulation almost perfectly. The spectra speeder was insanely close in operation, so it was like driving a new car to him. Weightlessness he mastered years ago, and strength was not a problem. The in-classroom training wasn’t that bad either. Danny was a fantastic astronaut if he did say so himself.
After his first mission, he gained a bit of a cult following. Officially, all records of NASA Danny Fenton had been changed to Danny Aykroyd. Nobody knew him as C student Fenton but instead kick-ass astronaut Aykroyd. His records were publicly available, and every mission he went on went well. So what if he used some ghostliness to keep his team safe. As far as they knew, lifting rocks that shouldn’t be humanly possible was one of those muscle flukes. Like a parent lifting a car to save their child. His team stayed safe, and that’s what mattered most.
He didn’t mind it so much that nobody knew. His parents understood and were proud of him. They kept quiet about Danny’s famous career as an astronaut, but Amity Park still knew. During the Christmas holidays last year, he saw Dash at Starbucks, who gaped at him like a fish. Danny simply raised his cup like a toast and headed back home. As long as only Amity Park knew about Danny Fenton, he would be fine. Sam’s parents had been so passive-aggressive once they realized that they couldn’t mention their connection to Danny without some NASA officials breathing down their necks. It was good, but sometimes he couldn’t miss the sadness in his parent’s eyes when they couldn’t announce their baby boy’s accomplishments to the world.
His last name went unnoticed by most. Sometimes interns and such would ask him questions, though.
“Danny Aykroyd? Like Dan Aykroyd?” Confusion and curiosity ripple their faces.
Danny would simply laugh and grin. “No, that’s the ghostbuster.” Sam and Tucker didn’t think it was as funny, unfortunately. It had grown on them the past couple of years, though. He was pretty sure he saw Tucker wearing a shirt on his Instagram one time with his response. Appropriately, the shirt was black with ‘No, that’s the ghostbuster’ written in curvy neon green letters. Danny tracked one down and posted a picture on his official account wearing it. He had to apologize for crashing the artist’s site a few hours later.
His popularity had grown to the point where people tried getting interviews with him. Danny did some after the PR team forced him to. In the first interview, he was a nervous wreck. PR never treated alternate Danny personas kindly. They got easier after a while, none were out to get him, really. Most just asked about the space stations, missions and sometimes his personal life.
Eventually, life and the PR team lead him to today’s interview. He sat backstage waiting for his cue. A blonde woman, Agatha, was a show host and begged to have him on the show. She rallied the audience up, getting them ready for his appearance.
“Now please welcome Astronaut, Danny Aykroyd!” The crowd cheered and he strolled across the stage. The lights blinded him at first, but adjusted as he took his seat on the love seat across from Agatha.
“Agatha, thanks for having me.” With a broad smile, he shook her hand.
She smiled at him devilishly. “No, thank you, Danny. Celebrities are in a thousand, but Astronauts are on in a million.”
“Don’t flatter me too much,” he laughed, “my ego can only stretch so far.” The audience laughed at his remark, along with Agatha. He was doing good.
“Now Danny, not to get personal right off the bat, but do you have a new beau by any chance.”
Great one of these kinds of interviews. He shook his head. “No.”
“Not even at home?”
“Sorry to disappoint Agatha, but my love stays for Cujo still.” He held a hand to his heart and the audience laughed again.
Agatha laughed, throwing her head back. “Not even in good old Amity Park?”
Danny’s mouth twitched. Amity Park was not allowed for questions during an interview. PR made sure of it. “No, parents would probably like me to have some secret partner stashed away though. Gotta have them grandkids, am I right.” He laughed along with the audience.
Agatha leaned forward as if she caught a canary as looked at him playfully. “Say your parents right?” Danny squirmed in the seat and his smile dropped. “As in Maddie and Jack Fenton?”
“I-”
“Is it true that your name is really Daniel James Fenton?”
“I-”
“Fenton as in the joke of the science community?”
“Agatha-”
“What was it that they study and claim is true? Do let the audience know, Mr. Aykroyd.” She leaned back in her chair with a triumphant smile. Hushed whispers aroused from the audience as Danny stayed silent. The damage was already done. Live shows were the worst.
“Paranormal studies and ecto-biology, ecto-physics, and ecto-chemistry.”
“What interesting fields of study. More of fields of fantasy, though, am I right?” A few nervous laughs came from the audience. Danny curled his hands into a fist. PR was going to kill him tomorrow.
He gave Agatha a cold glare. She immediately straightened in her seat. “I don’t take kindly to people making fun of my parents. They’re amazing scientists. Dad built a fuelless aircraft and so many gadgets ahead of our time. Mom created entirely new ways to pull things apart. Atom. By. Atom.” Agatha was beginning to look a bit scared now. Danny continued anyway and started creating an invisible clone. “Ancients even, they protected the entire town when it literally got sent to an alternate dimension. They are good people and good scientists. I don’t care what everyone else says. I know what they study is real. I’ve seen it with my own eyes. I’ve been to the ghost zone.” He closed his eyes and took a breath. The clone was at the lights now.
“Are you saying that you, a lead expert in space exploration and science, are endorsing the fact that the afterlife exists?” Agatha almost stumbled over her words. The crowd was silent.
Danny stood up from the love seat and glared at the camera. “Yes, and this interview is over.” The lights shut off, and the crown gasped with a few screams. Danny turned invisible and made his way out through the chaos of the crowd.
“Take back your statement,” Rodger demanded. “We can’t have you claiming that crackpot theories are real.” Danny felt like a child being scolded.
“This is a mess, Danny. The community is baffled and questioning whether you should still keep your job. The public is looking into your high school life too.” The PR head said worriedly. Danny cringed at the mention of high school.
“I guess they don’t want a delinquent C student, who believes in the supernatural leading up NASA missions, huh?”
“No Danny. They saw how cold you were last night, too. How can they trust you if you’ve secretly been a homewrecker all this time?”
“At least people get the joke behind Aykroyd now,” he said quietly. Well, some of the joke.
“Danny!” Roger sighed. “You’ve always been so adamant about finding proof before we make claims. Why does the supernatural not follow this?”
“I’ve seen proof-” he is proof-” that ghosts exist.”
“Danny, if your parents are telling you one thing from birth, of course you’re going to see proof. Confirmation bias.” Roger explained.
“No, Roger, it’s not that. There is a portal to hell in my basement Roger, my basement!” Danny stood up from his chair.
“Danny-”
“No-” he turned to the PR head- “If I can prove ghosts are real, can I keep my job? Ancients, I swear the job can be easier if I provide proof.”
The PR looked at their tablet and shrugged. “Maybe, it would have to be right away, though. No time to pull together some gimmick.”
“Good.”
“Danny, think about what you’re doing. You're risking your career,” Roger tried to reason.
Danny laughed. “No, Roger, even if NASA does fire me, I have other things to do. But-” he let the cool wrings wash over him- “I know what I am and that I exist.”
Roger and the PR head shut up after that. Their jaws hung open and stared at him, flabbergasted.
"There is this proof enough?"
Yes! Go read this fic! It's awesome!

Ok, i love this idea.
Deaf!Marinette AU: Stoneheart - Part 1.
Marinette forgot to set her phone to vibration the previous night, and, since she she's deaf, ended up sleeping through her morning alarm.
Marinette started waking up early as a kid to head to school on her own since it made her feel more "grown up," so her parents don't usually go to make sure she's awake since they're busy with opening up the bakery.
She ends up being extremely late, and only has time to grab the macaroons she had spent hours trying to perfect the previous day, in hopes of having a good start with her classmates.
On her way to school, she sees a man on thr opposite side of the road trying to hurry across the street as a car comes speeding towards him. Without a second thought, she sprints towards him to get him out of harm's way.
Her macaroons are ran over and destroyed, and her pants from the knees down are soaked with water from the rain puddle she had fell into while pushing the man onto the sidewalk.
The elderly man regards her with a face of shock, admiration shinning through. "Are you alright?" He asks and Marinette is barely able to read it from his lips as the adrenaline pounds through her head.
Flashing him a reassuring smile, she motions towards her ear and simply signs, "I'm deaf."
She doubted the man knew Sign considering not many people put in the effort to learn it nowadays, but she hoped he at least understand what she was trying to say, especially since it was one of the better known signs with hearing people.
Marinette was happily suprised whem the man smiled softly at her and responded, "I see. Are you alright then?" His hands moving as he signed back to her.
Marinette was about to respond when her back suddenly straightened and she realized just how late she was - and on her first day too!
After receiving confirmation that the man was fine and helping him retrieve his cane from the road, she hurriedly threw a smile at him from over her shoulder as she ran towards Collège Françoise Dupont.
Wang Fu hummed to himself as he watched the young girl, no older than fifteen, trip her way to school. Yes, he told Wayzz, she would make a very intertesting hero indeed.
Marinette raced through the school halls, taking a moment to catch her breath as she stood outside her classroom.
This would be her second year of high school, and she hoped it was better than the last.
Mme. Bustier, her new teacher, turned her head and smiled at Marinette as she entered the classroom. Marinette had already met with her a few weeks prior with her parents, as Tom and Sabine explained that Marinette would require slightly different teaching methods due to her disability.
Greeting her teacher with a smile, Marinette headed towards one of the seats in the front row, closest to where Mme. Bustier would be teaching.
This was her first year using hearing aids, which meant it was also her first year without an interpreter having to come to class with her. She still wasn't completely used to the devices in her ears, and she stopped wearing her hair up in favor of being able to conceal them.
The noise was startling at first, and it was still a bit overwhelming at times. Marinette only used them when absolutely needed, and had switched them on outside of class.
The loud chattering of her classmates made her wince, but she was also curious to hear what everyone had sounded like. After all, she had known most of these people for years and never heard them speak before. It was almost exciting to guess what they would sound like.
A hand slapping down on her desk made her flinch and she looked up to meet bright blue eyes glaring at her, "Dupain-Cheng!" Chloé sneered at her and Marinette confirmed to herself that, yes, Chloé did sound exactly like she imagined she would. Annoying. "This is my seat!"
Marinette didn't open her mouth to speak, she refused to waste her breath on this. "This is my seat," she signed and Chloé's brow twitched in annoyance.
"How many times do I have to tell you I don't speak jazzhands?" She rolled her eyes dramatically and Marinette felt herseld being shoved out of her seat from the opposite side, Sabrine now sitting where she had been. Pointing at an empty seat next to an unfamiliar face, Chloé glared at her. "You sit there now." She made sure to word it sharply and slowly, unaware Marinette had hearing aids.
Marinette hesitated before deciding it wasn't worth the fight. Chloé had been annoying her since the first year of middle school, there was no point in rebelling now.
A hand reached for Marinette's wrist and she found herself being dragged by the unfamiliar student, all while she glared daggers at Chloé. Marinette tumbled into her seat and received a smile from her deskmate.
"What a snobb," The new student huffed under her breath with an eyeroll. When the girl beside her didn't respond, she spared her a glance to see her staring at her lips with a confused expression on her face.
Marinette flushed. Even with her hearing aids, she was nowhere close having perfect hearing. Loud environments, quiet voices, and hard to understand words made her feel as though she was wearing earplugs instead of hearing aids.
"She's deaf, you dunce!" Chloé shouted with a laugh, causing Marinette to shrink into herself.
Alya blinked in surprise just as Mme. Bustier clapped her hands to gain the class's attention. "Good morning, class! For those who don't yet know me, I am Madam Bustier, your homeroom teacher this year," she smiled at the faces filling the room. "As Chloé had shouted," she sent a warning look at the student, "your classmate Marinette is deaf so please be mindful of that." Oh wow, everyone was looking at her.
She wanted to melt into the ground.
The rest of the class was rather uneventful, with Mme. Bustier explaining the syllabus and having the students introduce themselves. She purposefully skipped over Marinette, which caused the girl beside her to peak up at, as Sabine had informed her that Marinette was not comfortable with verbal communication.
"Ivan! Go to the principal's office," Marinette looked up as she saw her teacher directing her classmate out the door. Snickering filled the room, specifically coming from two classmates, and Marinette was already awaiting the moment she could remove sound from her life again.
"Geez," she heard the girl beside her mutter as the situation unfolded. Their eyes met and she felt her cheeks heat up at the grin directed at her.
Her deskmate flipped through her notebook, a Marvel themed one, and began to scribble on a blank page before shoving it in front of her face.
"Hi! I'm Alya. Looks like we'll be classmates :)"
Marinette felt something spread in her chest as the girl looked at her expecting, smiling widely. She made an effort to talk to me...
Uncapping her pen, Marinette replied on the same page, "Hello, I'm Marinette! It's nice to meet you, Alya. Right now, I'm wearing hearing aids that allow me to understand you for the most part, but I only communicate through Sign and writing."
Alya grabbed the paper, happy that Marinette had replied. "Oh, I don't know Sign Language," she frowned. Then suddenly her eyes held a gleam, "but I can learn! I've always been a fast learner, espeically with languages!"
Before Marinette could swoon over the fact that a girl she had just met, that didn't even know her, declared that she would be learning a brand new language just for Marinette's sake, a sudden shake filled the building.
"That was Ivan's voice, right?" Marinette didn't respond as Alya pulled out her phone, "it's like he's been transformed into a real life supervillain!" She pocketed her phone and turned on her heels to run.
Marinette snatched her wrist, looking at Alya as though she had grown a second head. "Don't look at me like that! Wherever there's a supervillain, there's a superhero close behind! I am not missing this," and with that Marinette was left to stare at her new classmate, someone she was convinced was either fearless or crazy.
After a moment of hearing screams fill the school, Marinette groaned and turned off her hearing aids, slightly more relaxed without the chatter filling her head. Sighing, she sprinted in the opposite direction Alya had, away from the fight amd towards home.
After her parents secured the bakery's door and made sure their daughter was alright, Marinette found herself sitting in front of her computer, watching with a anxious interest as the news reported on the current situation.
Her eyes spotted a black jewelry box sitting on her desk. With red designs and an unique shape, Marinette was certain it wasn't one of hers.
Opening it, Marinette was met with a blinding light of bright red. Wincing, she closed her eyes and tried to process what had just happened.
Blinking her eyes open, she was met with a red and black creature hovering above the box. Large blue eyes stared at her.
Marinette nearly screamed.
The creature came towards her, its mouth moving as it must of been letting out some type of animalistic noise.
It stopped chasing her suddenly and something resembling a pondering look came across its little bug face.
Marinette watched as the - thing - flew to her computer and began to smash itself against her keys.
Marinette had to take a moment to realize it was typing words.
And then another moment to get over her shock.
"Greeting, my name is Tikki. Please allow me to explain."
Marinette took notes as she read through Tikki's explanation, which was surprisingly detailed.
Tikki said that she could understand any language her holder knew, so she turned to her, still off-put by her interesting appearance, and signed, "I'm sorry for freaking out earlier, Tikki. Thank you for your explanation, it was really helpful," she nodded towards the computer and the kwami smiled at her.
"But," her hands paused for a moment and sbe pursed her lips. "I think you're confused. Someone like me, I could never be a superhero - people like me aren't supposed to be heroes." Marinette gave Tikki a sad smile, her hands falling to rest in her lap.
Tikki frowned, confused by her holder's words. No one had ever declined a miraculous before, in fact, some were a bit too excited to be given one.
"But," she began before realizing her mistake, "but Marinette, you're the chosen one. You were selected before you have the heart of the hero. Only you can wield the Ladybug Miraculous."
Marinette sighed as she read the message, about to sign her owm retort when a flash from her phone caught her attention.
"Emergency Warning: Supervillain causing property damage to Collège Françoise Dupont, students indanger."
Marinette felt her heart drop as the video of - Ivan? - played, damaging the field of her high school. That wasn't what caused her emotiom distress, however.
