Tanjirou is really happy to see Tokito again; he seems to be doing great, even after all that happened in the swordsmith village.

And now he can be trained by him, even if it's just for a while; Tanjirou knows he's very talented, he watched him train with the Yoriichi type zero after all.

"Tanjirou!" Tokito beams; his smile becomes impossibly wide and his eyes glimmer with happiness. "I was waiting for you!"

Such undivided attention makes him feel a little bit flustered, especially because the other slayers around are staring from one to the other like they can't believe what's going on.

"I'm glad you're feeling better!" He mumbles after a couple of seconds.

Tokito nods and tells the others they can take a break. Then he approaches Tanjirou immediately and asks him if he's hungry.

They eat together in Tokito's room while the others stay outside.

Since Tanjirou has noticed that none of the other slayers are shirtless, he puts his own uniform back on. Tokito pouts.

"You can train shirtless if you want, Tanjirou!" Tokito says, eyes roaming all over his body; maybe he's making sure Tanjirou doesn't have any injuries or perhaps he's just curious about the new scars.

"No... it's okay," Tanjirou rubs the back of his neck. "I'd feel weird if I'm the only one like that."

"I can ask the others to–"

"No, it's fine!"

The training session is hard, but Tanjirou likes it; he knows he'll become a lot better that way. Besides, Tokito is an excellent teacher.

At night, Tanjirou goes to the room where all the slayers are sleeping and puts his own futon in the middle of the floor.

"Kamado..." one of the slayers whispers shyly, as the ones around look at him with curiosity. "Could you please tell the mist hashira not to be too harsh on us?"

Tanjirou considers it for a couple of seconds, before turning around in his own futon.

"It's also difficult for him because he's training all of us without a break and then he goes out at night. Maybe he's patrolling the area or something, but he must be exhausted too and yet he's doing this for us, to prepare us for what's about to come."

The others listen to him with their undivided attention and nod.

"Well, at least tell him to be kind with his words, please?"

"I could... but I'm not sure he'll listen to me," Tanjirou says. Besides, Tokito has been a lot nicer to him lately... He has made a lot of progress already.

"Are you kidding me? He adores you!"

"He doesn't–" Tanjirou gets cut off by the noise of the sliding door being open and suddenly, Tokito is standing next to him.

"Tanjirou... come with me," Tokito says, grabbing him by his shirt. "I can't sleep alone."

"Alright..." Tanjirou smiles, thinking about how much Tokito has suffered before becoming a hashira, maybe he misses his family. He understands that completely.

He's about to grab his futon when Tokito takes him in his arms, giggling and carries him towards his room.

"But my futon!"

"Mine is big enough for both of us!" Tokito smiles again, fluttering his eyelashes at Tanjirou.

It's true that his futon is a little bit bigger than the others, but they have to lie really close to each other anyway.

It's alright because Tokito seems to enjoy cuddling with Tanjirou. He buries his face in the curve of the redhead's neck and nuzzles against him every now and then as he purrs like a very content cat.

Tanjirou is happy to help; he even runs his fingers through the Pillar's hair until they both fall asleep.

When he wakes up, Tokito is walking back into the room with breakfast; he looks impossibly happy and even kisses Tanjirou's forehead before kneeling next to him to eat.

Tanjirou wonders why they don't eat with the others, but he's too hungry to ask at the moment.

They dress and go back outside only to see the others are already stretching; Tokito keeps a hand on his waist the whole time and for some reason the others get flustered when they notice it.

"Good morning!" Tokito smiles at them, shocking them for a second; usually he only smiles at Tanjirou. "I had an amazing night! I hope you did too!"

Some of the slayers choke and others turn red before looking away from them. Tanjirou is not sure what's going on.

"Well, I have to prepare everything for today's session!" Tokito grins, before kissing Tanjirou's cheek. "I'll see you later, Tanjirou!"

Only when he's back inside the others seem to relax and look back at Tanjirou with curiosity.

They're still blushing though.

"So did you..."

"Or did he... I mean, how did it work?"

"Was it good? Well, he seems in a good mood so I guess–"

A female slayer hits the ones who were asking questions on the back of the head.

"I apologize on their behalf, Tanjirou. They don't have manners... but we know it's not our business."

Tanjirou is so confused that he doesn't know what to say or do other than nod.

They keep looking at him and Tokito in a funny way for the rest of the day, especially when Tokito touches him, but Tanjirou has no idea why they're so curious about that.

It gets even worse the next day because Tokito asks him to go to his room again.

Maybe the others want to be Tokito's friends too? He'll try to come up with something so the others can make friends with the mist hashira as well.

And so, the story began that occurred during training at Tokito's estate, the preference was evident, it was obvious that Muichiro, although he loved spending time with Tanjiro, had to have some "toughness", but he couldn't, he was softer and understanding with him than with the others.

Let's say that was their "first fight", it wasn't anything serious, it was just that they hadn't agreed on how to treat each other, but they were still exchanging letters, so it wasn't that serious.

'I understand, and why don't you ask Zenitsu better? I mean, he's this stupid boar's boyfriend.'

'WHO ARE YOU CALLING STUPID?! MONJIRO! GET OFF ME!'

He didn't deny that he loved him, but, it was a little complicated to understand, but I think he understood Tanjiro's point of view a little.

'Well, uuuuuh, let's say that our relationship is just starting to be stable, if you can put it that way. Senjuro, he's a good boy, but we're not always on the same page, and the only thing I do when it's a somewhat childish reason is to tickle him until he accepts that I'm right or make him accept that he's right.'

Tanjiro is not going to lie, that was one of the options, but when he tried to do it, the roles ended up being reversed and thus he discovered that hashiras had an amazing power to blow raspberries, he did not want to repeat that.

'Eeeem, Tanjiro? All good?'

'It's a bit difficult, considering the difference in strength between Senjuro and Muichiro, I tried to do it... I ended up crying and barely breathing'

'Tanjiro, I thought I told you that... Inosuke... Wasn't a good influence on you'

'Ehehehehe, he's someone you can love, just, it's necessary to understand him...'

Yes, well, Muichiro sighed, he doesn't wanted another fight, but still, he told Tanjiro that he had to calm Inosuke down if he wanted to be on his estate and that's how it happened.

'So, how's your training going...'

'Well, I guess, some leave a lot to be desired... Others, they're good but still lacking, I'm trying to be a good teacher, but it doesn't seem to be enough'

Genya motioned to Tanjiro, he nodded and approached Muichiro, giving him a hug from behind, smiling as he snuggled up and seemed to relax.

'What if you take a break?'

'No need, I can handle this, I'm a hashira.'

'But still, a break isn't a bad thing at all'

'I guess not, maybe I'll consider it', well, this was too boring for Inosuke.

Genya coughed (sneakly), Tanjiro nodded and Muichiro's eyes snapped open when he felt a pair of fingers gently brush against his back, quickly stopping Tanjiro's fingers, no, he couldn't...

'What were you trying to do?'

'Well, convince you to take a break and be cheerful...?'

'Bad choice, now I'm gonna...'

'I'm sorry Tokito-San, but, I'm helping Tanjiro...'

Muichiro frowned, who did he think he was?! He only allowed that to Tanjiro, to no one else, but it didn't bother him, he just had to get it off his back and the matter was settled, shame about the height difference.

'Do you have any idea what trouble you just got yourself into?'

'I won't do anything for now, the one who will do it will be Tanjiro'

'He's not able to... GRK... Ta-Tahanjihiro...'

'If you're not allowed to relax because of training, then I'll help you to do it!'

And that was what Muichiro feared, why? Almost no one of the hashiras could make him laugh, if someone tried to tickle him, he would immediately bite them or kick them, but he didn't know how to let anyone touch him, so... Tanjiro was so far the only person who seemed to be able to do it, no.

He knew how he did it, but his touch was so soft and precise that Muichiro couldn't even think of an excuse or a plan to get out of there.

'WHY HE LAUGHED WITH YOU AND NOT ME?!'

'Maybe you were too rough with him, there's no need for that, Inosuke, a few strokes will do. For example, see if I gently trace his name on his belly'

'Tahahanjirohoho! Hehehey!! Stohohohoooop...', well, that was weird, wasn't it?

Inosuke didn't understand, how could soft and imprecise touches be better than hard and precise ones? Tanjiro showed him how he could do it and boy did Inosuke learn quickly.

Muichiro couldn't even get angry, it wasn't something that bothered him, even if the touch didn't come from Tanjiro, he seemed to like that activity.

'Do you feel more relaxed? He hasn't asked us to stop!'

'It fehehehels go-gohood! Ehehehehe! I-ihihihit doehehehesn't ahahahahaha bohotheheheheher me! Ahahahaha!! He-hehehehehey!! My neheheck!!'

'Thank goodness, I thought he would bite me for trying'

'Hahaha, calm down Genya, Muichiro can't be mad at you for this, he's liking it!', man, what a shame.

Muichiro could only nod as he continued squealing and laughing at the soft touches of his boyfriend and his friends, it wasn't that bad, he was even able to say that he didn't want them to stop, he liked that way of relaxing.

big boi Yizhen

Will not ever be getting over Quan Yizhen.

He is the puppy-doggiest boy of all time. He is the sweetest baby in the world. He is the cutest bean ever born.

My favourite scenes are ones where he tries to thank Xie Lian!! Because all Xie Lian did was throw chopsticks to make the curtain fall!! He barely did anything!! Most of the other gods don’t even realize he’s the one who did it!!

But Quan Yizhen not only noticed it was him, he also felt grateful!!! He tried to stuff his donation box with gold bars!!! And, my absolute favourite example, when he woke up to find Xie Lian and Pei Ming in his room (while Pei Ming is trying to catch Shi Qingxuan), Pei Ming asks him to help out and Yizhen just. Throws his bed. At Pei Ming. Because even though he has not a single clue what the fuck is going on, he wants to thank Xie Lian.

I could ramble about my love for Yizhen for all of eternity. I love him so so so so so much.

The scene where Yin Yu “knocks him out” with the shovel, only for Quan Yizhen to wait to be dug out and then reveal that he wasn’t actually knocked unconscious??? (Beautiful, amazing, 10/10, implies that even after everything, Yin Yu still can’t bring himself to hurt Yizhen, and I just abdjdjfbdjdn) Everyone is so completely shocked, because “Qi Ying just tricked us????” Quan Yizhen is so straightfoward and blunt that him pulled a trick like this is something literally nobody saw coming, he’s a strategic genius-

Xie Lian says that Yizhen probably recognized Yin Yu because he remembers his habits, like pacing when he’s uncertain. Which is just- Quan Yizhen hasn’t seen Yin Yu in centuries, but still remembers his ticks…

I love how literally everyone thinks that Yizhen is mad at Yin Yu, but all Quan Yizhen wants is to hug him and get head pats and he doesn’t blame Yin Yu for snapping at him and he still gets angry when people badmouth Yin Yu and and and and-

Yizhen just loves hims Shixiong. He joined the sect because Yin Yu was there. He became a god because Yin Yu suggested he should. He never stops caring for Yin Yu, even when Yin Yu tries to murder him. I love them so much.

But also, I love Quan Yizhen with Xie Lian. Not as a romantic ship, I just like that they’re two peas in a pod. They both see amazing martial ability and automatically praise it. They are the most neurodivergent characters. They both think Yin Yu is pretty cool. They are buddies, and it’s like two puppies play wrestling, I can’t get over it.

As an autistic monster fucker and a furry (stay with me) I feel confident in saying Laios is not a monster fucker. Laios hyperfixates on monsters like irl people hyperfixate on dinosaurs. Not once have I seen him interested in a monster sexually. He is all about fun facts and recipes.

He is, however, definitely a furry and I'd bet money he's got a fursona and a monstersona.
