My favourite Anti headcanon is that Anti has always been present in Jack since he was born.

I imagine that when Jack was young, he had trouble controlling him.

He’d frequently lose control when other kids teased him, he’d start collecting scissors and hoarding them in his bedroom without even remembering.

He’d develop a fascination with kicking up anthills just to watch the ants scramble out from under cover in their confusion and run in all directions, sometimes back into danger in their panic.

He started to enjoy finding dead animals and taking them apart before stapling and glueing them back together.

And eventually, maybe even watching the light drain from their eyes by his own hands.

Jack’s mother was horrified. Until Jack learned the only way to suppress it. Ignore it. Pretend he’s not there.

Until people gave the monster a NAME.

And DREW him.

And cried out for him.

And well… we know the rest, don’t we?
