Because Obi-Wan Kenobi does his level best to navigate what could be yet another trap being laid for them, could just be a powder keg that would blow up in their faces, all while being resolute that, though this is war and death happens, they’re still all in this together and of course he will fight for them. Obi-Wan Kenobi is a Jedi through and through, he was never going to just let the clones fight for themselves without pitching in to help.  Not when he’s still in a position to be able to offer help.
