Saying what Israel is doing to Palestine "is too complicated" and using that as an excuse to not learn is the same bs rhetoric that gets repeated everytime something like this happens

I watched a few videos and learned enough to say yes I understand enough to know where I stand.

Do not use ignorance as an excuse

Some of the videos I watched and the "very important tasks" i did because "I'm just so busy I can't possibly spend time trying to learn about 75 years of hiatory"

Watched this while getting ready for bed

Drinking tea before bedtime

Literally all of these are 5 minutes and told me more than enough to dispell all the ignorance I had before and I watched them while I was trying to fall asleep it was that easy

In the time you take to use the bathroom or get dressed or make coffee or just scroll through social media you can watch a 5 minute video that teaches you more than enough

Some of these videos were made YEARS AGO. This has been happening for nearly a century

These governments WANT you to he ignorant.

They WANT you to think it's too complicated

They WANT to focus on yourselves and your own issues and leave it to them because they CLAIM they know what's best

PLEASE JUST TAKE A FEW MINUTES TO EDUCATE YOURSELF

THAT IS WHAT YOU CAN DO

This isn't even including all the videos you can easily find online that show you what exactly is happening to Palestinians in Gaza and even better the wonderful rec lists people have made of movies and books and everything that should you the kind of people they truly are

You absolutely have power here. Do not give it up because it seems "too complicated"

I forgot. I really should get around to doing that because apparently there is way more stuff in my profile than I anticipated.

I ought to rewatch Strange Aeons' video on Tumblr Etiquette because I forgot almost everything they said in it except like 'Don't use the default PFP or your real name or else you'll look like a bot'

Dear Followers and Mutuals, if you come across this, should I make a separate blog for my Politics and Arguments? My blog is mostly lighthearted stuff but after my posts about the Israel-Palestine conflict, I can see how that can feel out of place here.

Only 13 percent of video games are readily playable and accessible. No other form of media is as endangered as video games. There is no legal path to preserve or archive video games. You can go to libraries and archives for books years out of print. You can rent a movie or download a pdf. There is no legal equivalent for video games. Games companies do not double as archival organisations and they never will. They have never been about preserving. They are about selling. Which is not inherently evil compared to anyone else but they along with the law are directly preventing archivers and preservationists from doing their job and allowing this entire medium to be experienced in the future.
