the fact that shakespeare was a playwright is sometimes so funny to me. just the concept of the "greatest writer of the English language" being a random 450-year-old entertainer, a 16th cent pop cultural sensation (thanks in large part to puns & dirty jokes & verbiage & a long-running appeal to commoners). and his work was made to be watched not read, but in the classroom teachers just hand us his scripts and say "that's literature"

just...imagine it's 2450 A.D. and English Lit students are regularly going into 100k debt writing postdoc theses on The Simpsons screenplays. the original animation hasn't even been preserved, it's literally just scripts and the occasional SDH subtitles.txt. they've been republished more times than the Bible

I made a baby blanket for a pregnant woman at work and I went back and forth about it like “is this weird? To like hand make something for someone when we’re like friendly acquaintances not like bffs. God why are you so fucking awkward.” Anyway I gave it to her and she said she loved it and in the back of my head I’m like yea she’s nice and probably just humoring the weirdo. Well she texted me a picture this weekend of a scrunchy faced newborn at the hospital wrapped in the blanket I made her. And I’m like. Wow. She loved it so much she took it with her! To the hospital! To give birth! She wrapped her newborn it! I am just so filled with love and joy right now.

People will love the things you make them. Because you thought of them and you cared.

Do you know of any games called "Royal Fashion Princess" or something along those lines? They used to be found on sites like Didigames and Games2Girls, made by Popgals.com originally, and there were multiple ones: I found one of them (where you design their bedroom) but remember other ones including the original, one where you dress them up and pair them with princes, a christmas one, a 'spring/summer garden' themed one, a spa/sauna themed one, and a school uniform themed one. I also remember other aspects of some of them: The princesses were a tanned one with short brown hair in a blue dress, a redhead in purple, a brunette in pink and maroon, a blonde in pink, and an Asian one with blue pigtails and a yellow dress, and two of the games had music: the christmas one had a pop version of Jingle Bells in a foreign language, and the school dresup one had a traditional Irish flute melody. I can;t be clearer than that, plus many of the games were labelled as things that were not the exact title and i played them so long ago I forgot what they were labelled as.
