all debates abt the artistic merits of fanfiction fail to recognize the purpose of fic. you don’t write fic to be published or to learn how to construct a narrative although you can use it to develop style. you write it so that your friends will message you “bestie you’re utterly deranged for this one im eating dirt” 

So… I’m not saying I made it happen, but the Duolingo owl was killed off pretty quickly after I posted this XD

hero: phone goes off, them groaning “I downloaded this stupid app so I could learn (insert language) for a mission, but it won’t shut up with the reminders

Danny: glances up from where he was chilling out and talking “why not just delete it?”

Hero: “I’ve tried, but the stupid owl app won’t go away”

Danny and the bats freeze, turning to the hero in horror: “do the damn lesson”

Hero: blinking “why, it’s not like the stupid bird can actually do anything.”

Danny: hisses “dude, shut up! Duo is a powerful eldritch horror, he’ll kill you!”

John Constantine: walking in the room and spitting out his drink “why in the bloody hell are you even mentioning that blokes name?!”

Danny: points at hero “he downloaded their app and is refusing to do their daily lessons!”

John: stares in horror before nopeing out “you bastards are on your own!”

Danny: grabbing the bats and opening a portal to the cave “nope, we out, I’ve dealt with enough nightmare to know a fight I can’t win when I see one”

Hero: left standing alone, glancing at his phone as it vibrates again with a notification “well… shoot”

Good morning Amity Park, I'm your ghostly weatherman, Lance Thunder. Today's Thursday, November 9, and there’s a 0% chance of rain. Highs are in the mid fifties and lows are in the low forties.

A man in a blue dog costume was abducted by a dragon ghost yesterday. Luckily, the Red Huntress was able to defeat the dragon and rescue this man. This man, who would like to remain anonymous, believed that the dragon’s plan was to rip him apart and feed him to her offspring, and I am inclined to believe him.

Construction has started for three new McMasters locations. One will be on 32nd street, one on 25th street and one on 6th street.

The Fentons will likely not be driving today.
