Hey yall

I just want to show you guys a thing I did today at school

We had a project in which a class from another year showed us the history and how to make this doll called "Abayoni"

They are dolls from the time of slavery in Brazil made by black women who, in order to distract their children, tore off a piece of their skirts and make the dolls

I called mine "Maria Joaninha" because everyone who looked at her remembered Ladybug (the superhero), and in portuguese, "ladybug" means joaninha (the insect in this case)

(So I was dumb and accidentally deleted the ask I was making the most recent comic about, please pretend I'm answering an ask, I'm not throwing away a whole comic bc I have two neurons)
