A released captive Amani Hashem embraces her son Adam and returns to her family after spending 7 years in occupation prison. She shared her experience in the interview.
What stuck with me is when she said: "On the rare occasions the occupation would allow family visits, they would let me see both of my kids but only hug one of them. My kids were so young they didn't understand. I'd hear the younger one saying: "Why didn't mom hug me too? Does she not love me?" That's when I realized the limitless of the occupation's evil. They stripped me from seeing my children grow up, I'm getting to know them from the beginning now."

There is no possible reality where this is in any way capable of being passed off as self-defense. It was never self-defense. It is, and always has been, a genocide.
Crying babies. Crying babies. This is, beyond a shadow of a doubt, meant to draw out and kill civilians while also making it far more difficult to locate and aid children who are trapped or alone.
If you have money to spare, please consider donating to some of the fundraisers on Operation Olive Branch to help people escape this genocide.
The US and Israel assassinated him for saying this
There are many small details about the series that have such significance, the example I want to focus on is that Gi-Hun didn't know that Sang-Woo was suicidal.
It's interesting to think how different his approach would be if he had known; although he would still be angry at him for his way to achieve things, he wouldn't see him as a money-hungry individual, but rather a desperate one who would do anything to make amends to his mistakes, even taking his own life. Very different from Gi-Hun, who would give up his comfort and ability to fix his own mistakes as long as their loved ones lived.
Certainly, the thought of Sang-Woo committing suicide didn't go thru his head, especially when he DID try to reach his hand. Just like him, he wanted to go home, but for him, for his situation, it wasn't a possibility.
I think that was the point that truly traumatized Gi-Hun. He didn't know anyone there really, their situation nor their values, just his childhood best friend. Someone he grew up with and considered family.
He saw someone he admire become a stranger, someone to fear and hate. But he knew that wasn't him. And when he saw how the boy that used to play with him sacrificed himself to ensure Gi-Hun financial stability, only asking for his mom wellbeing in exchange, that's when it sealed the realization he had about the games; how it preyed for people's desperation, they were just another victim out of the 456 players.
"Gi-hun, I'm sorry."

the fact is, israel now definitely realises that no one believes its bullshit anymore, especially seeing the mass movement and huge shift in narrative in response to its ongoing war against Gaza. this tells israel that the mask is now completely off and the masses no longer believe its claims of being the victim and whatever the hell else.
this explains why the scale of violence has been so overwhelming in recent weeks, considering there is nothing for israel to justify anymore and no pretences to keep up for those who used to fall for them.
there is also the sense of embarrassment; a whole military apparatus with billions in annual aid still could not break a besieged, starved enclave (it never will). we have been hearing about ground invasion this, ground invasion that and we have yet to see anything tangible.
again, the public for the most part has now seen who israel really is; a genocidal, terrorist state, and israel knows there's no turning back from this so it ramped up the violence to cause as much damage as possible before it is forced to halt its current acceleration of the ongoing genocide.
U.S. officials are literally telling israel to "pause" so that people can ease up a little and be lulled back into complacency. always remember this and let's keep doing what we're doing because the tides have really turned.
