Why is he like this? He’s one of us.

You ever think about Will being grateful that El saved him more for the sake of his loved once than for himself? Like he’s just so grateful that his loved ones don’t have to grieve him and would give the (his) entire world to El for that alone.

Even if he sometimes wishes El had never saved him at all, and that everyone would have been better off without him anyway so he keeps himself out of the narrative as much as possible. A ghost in his own life. Because that way everyone can move on from him instead of carrying his death with them forever.

This is my reminder that when looking for his brother at his father's house, Jonathan looked in the trunk of Lonnies car. What the actual fuck happened in the Byers house that Jonathan believed Lonnie would be capable of hurting/killing Will?

Also a reminder that Jonathan faced Lonnie, his abuser, alone for a small chance at finding Will, fought a demogorgon for him, got into a fight with Steve when he said Will deserved what happened to him, and planned his little brother, his best friend in the entire world and the person he loved most funeral alone because he couldn't stand the idea of letting Will down again and letting Will sit in a freezer. And carried the blame of what happened to Will without ever letting Will know because he didn't want his brother to worry about him.

As promised, Byers sibling action bc I am a fan of good sibling dynamics,,,and the idea of Will teaching El dnd and her getting rlly into it makes me happyyyy- I feel like she’d enjoy the aspects of being a rogue as a player or a DM. She would be an absolutely ruthless DM in my opinion.

(Fun fact, Jonathan was originally not in this but gdgdhfhffj I realized halfway through that I was accidentally drawing his room, so I added him in hdhdhddh very glad I did tho!)
