Made a mouthwashing animation yayyy
Evening everyone!
Applications are finally open! They’ll be open from August 14th until August 19th. However, there is an extension if we don’t get enough applications, August 26th.
We’re accepting artists, writers, comic artists, and merch designers.
We hope to accept 30 people overall. Anyone will be considered as long as you have a portfolio! Good luck!
It's almost time, applications open tomorrow at noon est for the HermitPost Zine! They'll be open for a full month, so there's plenty of time to apply. While we wait for tomorrow to come, let's talk about what to expect from the application and some updated news about the zine!
First of all, the difference between an Illustrator and a Spot Artist!
Illustrators will primarily be creating the face of the postcard, which means making one 4x6 full bleed illustration depicting the Season 10 base of the Hermit they're assigned to. The illustration should, in the style of a travel postcard, include text denoting the location in some way. How the you choose to interpret this is up to you! Illustrators will also create a matching "stamp" to go with the postcard which will be turned into a sticker sheet.
Spot Artists, on the other hand, will be responsible for creating small art or designs to go on the writing side of the postcard. The art does not have to be complex and should be small in scale, still leaving clearly defined space for the address and writing. How much or how little you do is up to you! Due to the financial constraints of printing services, each postcard having a fully unique back will be a stretch goal. If we do not meet the stretch goal, your art will still be used! Spot art will be turned into a collaborative design or designs and included in physical orders as an additional postcard, print, or sticker sheet (to be determined). This art will also be featured on the blog.
Illustrators and Spot Artists will apply from the same application--an illustrator won't need to fill out the spot artist question and vice versa, but you absolutely can fill out both! We've tried to include all relevant information you might need to know on the application itself, but you're welcome to send us an ask if you have questions.
The application will be through a Google form--we will require an email to be manually entered, but it doesn't have to be a Gmail. All applicants will hear back from us by no later than the 24th, and it will be through email! If you are accepted, you'll have 5 days from getting your email to respond, so check your spam!
We've been so excited answering all of your questions, and we're even more excited to see all of your applications tomorrow! If you have any more questions send us an ask--unfortunately, our messages have been giving us trouble, and we're still waiting for Support to respond.
Fandom is so different now and it’s becoming un-fun with how quickly shit moves.
I just want to enjoy things. I don’t want to have to play a game of Artist-Race that seems to be afoot lately.
Ya’ll eat up fandoms, leave artists and writers bone dry and then move on so fucking quickly then fucking wonder where all the Good Fandom Stuff is.
Idk Maybe cherish some things for longer. Reblog stuff. Interact with people. Comment and share.
Fandom is Capitalism now and I’m not being nuanced.
