[Day 30]: TANUKI JOEL TANUKI JOEL TANUKI JOEL-

(Whenever i export animations, procreate sometimes messes up the colors a bit? It looks fine on my ipad, but the animation is desaturated on my phone, so here's what it should look like:)

Anyways, i thought it would be funny to draw Joel summoning Effo, inspired by Grian & Scar summoning mumbo during season 8. It turned out even sillier than i thought it would and i absolutely love it wkdhwjd

Also wanted to show off the sketch since it shows off the movement a lot better! I did end up changing a LOT (and even ended up adding some frames where i did lineart w/o a sketch inbetween... Oop-) but u can still kind of see the drag and offset?

So basically: since the tail isn't a stiff object like... A table or sth, it has multiple 'joints' (<-don't remember the proper term for it). Now, if u animated the tail just moving back and forth it would look v v stiff and wierd, since irl the tip of the tail would be "dragged along" with the bottom (<-aka the ACTUAL joint that the movement originates from). To create a more organic and realistic movement, you need to slightly delay the other parts of the tail. I usually use those lil circles to sketch this out at first, since its a lot easier to do without having to worry about shape and perspective and such.

(in theory i know wayyy too much about animation, but in practice im still struggling to do it bc i don't have much experience animating ekfhakdj- i do know the theory p well, which is why im hoping his lil explanation might help someone! Let me know if u guys want me to include some art theory lessons more often :D)

AUTISTIC ZEDEX SUPREMACY!!!!

Specifically:

1. Ex with evil autism /hj aka, resting bitch face bc he doesn't know how to do expressions properly, no empathy/ability to put oneself in another person's shoes, has rlyyy frequent meltdowns which basically look like anger outbursts, doesn't understand hierarchy or social norms (bc he only knows evil >:D)

And thus Ex can come of as rly mean and disrespectful

2. Zed with crazy scientist autism /hj aka, masks a LOT so he started observing ppls behaviors from a rlyyy young age + has autism made him feel alienated from other ppl and a bit nonhuman/different + really intense spin in psychology = he sees all human beings as his test subjects :3333 (season 8 zed my beloved <2222)

Zed's really high masking, but despite his efforts he doesn't understand social norms fully, so he still shows the wrong reactions to things sometimes. For example, he rants a lot about his spins n doesn't realize when ppl get bored of it, he misunderstands sarcadm, he has overly exaggerated expressions, etc.

And thus Zed like a rly excited and passionate, but also incredibly weird and lowkey menacing/off putting scientist.

The big differences between them is that Zed rly loves socializing (even tho he rly struggles with it) and ex hates it. Zed is constantly ranting about his spins (mainly psychology or engineering) meanwhile ex just stares at people menacingly bc he doesn't wanna talk to them.

They also have p diff coping mechanisms:

Zed is, as mentioned, high masking and uses his spins to cope. (cause psychology lets him understand ppl better and thus mask better)

Meanwhile Ex has been alienated and misunderstood his whole life and never rly managed to mask properly. Instead he internalized the abelism he faced and leaned into the whole 'evil' persona

It makes me so fucking angry Iskall compares his cancelation to the god damn witchhunts. He unironically fucking compares it to an event, created by the church back then, to demonize women, other cultures and non-christian religions, which killed a countless amount of people, to getting banned from a minecraft server.

Kind of ironic that he goes on this whole rant about "pitchforks" online, then sues all the hermits for defamation and blames them for "ruining his life" and "mental health", statements that will OBVIOUSLY lead to his supporters harassing the hermits.

Godddd i dont understand how people can listen to a statement like that, full of fallacies, guiltripping, gaslighting and still support him

THE WORST PART IS HE NEVER EVEN DENIES IT!! LIKE. at the start he basically admits it. And people still call them false allegations??? And support him??? GIRL HOW ARE YOU NOT NOTICING THAT HES USING THE WHOLE "CANCELATION" THING TO REDIRECT THE ATTENTION & BLAME TO THE HERMIT'S

SO PEOPLE ARGUE ABOUT THE HERMITS "ACTING TOO FAST" INSTEAD OF TALKING ABOUT WHAT HE DID

ITS SUCH BLATANT DEFLECTION TOO????
