Hayashigeki is an interesting ship name to me.

Generally ship names are a portmanteau of two characters first names, example: Kaimon (Kai x Damon) or a portmanteau of two characters last names, example: Naegiri (Naegi x Kirigiri). Sometimes it's a word because there's no good way to combine them but that's irrelevant.

Hayashigeki breaks this convention because it is a portmanteau of one characters first name and another characters last name (Mai HAYASHI x SHIGEKI Yanagi). This is the first ship I have come across to do this really and I think it's interesting because basically every other Tetro ship does follow it. Hasemura is Ken and Kazutoshi's last names. Hananishi is Hanano and Nishino's first names. This even follows for smaller ships like Hinami and Wama. But for some reason we decided to break this with Hayashigeki. If following the normal format, the ship name would probably be Hayanagi, Yanashi, Maigeki, or Shimai/Shigemai

This means literally nothing but I do think this is an interesting psychological phenomenon that I am not smart enough to study.
