My name is Yusra, a 40 year-old Palestinian living in the Gaza Strip, which is becoming less and less. My wish is to save my child from certain death. I write these words and ask for your help, and I don't know if we will be able to survive. This is my last message to the world as a human being and this is the story of my life.
I am separated from my husband and I have one daughter named Mariam, she is 11 years old, she excelled in her studies, and she, like all other children, has dreams and wishes that she wants to fulfill and wants to live her childhood in peace.
I was working passionately to earn a living so that I didn't need to ask anyone for help and fulfill all the demands of my child, but I started in October, October and everything changed in an instant.
At that moment I started preparing a bag to put some important clothes and papers in order to go to my family's house the next morning, and indeed we went and arrived at my family's house. After a while, the occupation army began the process of entering the territory until it reached my house and destroyed what was inside and smashed the windows and doors, the situation in our area was very bad at that period, we took only two bags of clothes from the house, we arrived at my parents' house where my brothers and their children were in one room, I heard crying and screaming sounds all over the house from the intensity of fear and horror, hours passed after our arrival until a neighbor informed us that all the residents in the neighborhood had left their homes and were displaced in shelters for fear of certain death for themselves and their children, we were afraid to go there because it might not be safe to live there. We stayed at my parents' house for a week in suffering, fear, lack of water and food, daily power outages and internet outages. A week later, the news reached me and we learned that my house had been completely destroyed and I felt the pain of losing it and then it was the whole city (northern Gaza).
The fourth displacement, we went to Rafah, where the desert is barren, there is no place for displaced people, no tents, no water, no food, and we don't know where our fate will be, everyone was very worried. You will not imagine how much suffering we were living in that period until today, but the recent displacement forced us to leave Rafah and go to the city of Khan Younis, and we are living a new suffering that we hope will end from time to time in the absence of all life resistances. I ask you to help me rebuild my life and build a future for my child. I saved it from my work for the future of my child during the months of the war because of the outrageous price we live in and I no longer have any other source of livelihood now. Help me get out of Gaza and start a small project in Egypt until the reconstruction of Gaza is completed. I am sorry to all of you because I am asking for help from you, but there is no other way left for us. I trust in your humanity and I know how much you love the Palestinian people who will not give up their land no matter what happens.

A Cry from the Heart of Gaza: A Family Searching for Safety Amidst Destruction and Danger
Hello, my name is Abdulsalam Al-Anqar, I'm 26 years old, married to Aya Al-Batniji, and we have a little girl named Iman, who is one year old 👶. My family consists of seven members: my mother Iman (49 years old), my father Ahmed (54 years old), and my brothers Mohammed (14 years old), Nader (17 years old), and Omar (21 years old).
Due to the devastating war in Gaza, our homes were completely destroyed 🏚️, leaving us without a place to live. We were forced to flee south in search of safety, but that safety has been elusive. We have been displaced more than nine times, often finding ourselves in the line of fire, with military airstrikes occurring near our temporary shelters.
The hardest part is seeing the fear in my little daughter Iman's eyes 😔. We are now living in a shelter that is unfit for human habitation. The place is overrun with garbage 🗑️, with no proper sanitation, and the environment is extremely unhealthy. Because of these terrible conditions, my daughter Iman has fallen ill 🤒, and my parents’ health has also deteriorated.
We are trapped in southern Gaza, far from our home, which was completely destroyed, and we have no place to return to even if the war ends 🏠. Our most urgent need now is to escape the diseases and epidemics that are threatening us. After the World Health Organization announced cases of polio in Gaza, we feared for Iman's life and vaccinated her against this deadly disease on September 2, 2024 💉.
The only solution is to find refuge in a safe country like Egypt, where we can receive the medical care we desperately need 🚑. However, the cost of travel is between $6,000 and $7,000, a sum far beyond our means 💸.
