"Close the sky over Ukraine! Close from the bombs, from war aircrafts, from all these terrorists. Make a humanitarian zone! We are human. It is your humanitarian duty to protect people. And you are able to do it! If you don't do it, if you don't even provide us with planes so that we could protect ourselves - it means that you also want us slowly murdered" - President Zelensky to the Western political leaders, right after Ukrainian city Vinnytsia was hit by eight rockets.

My favorite version so far.Beautiful music, obviosly, but also beautifully acted and staged. The “messenger”part actually made me cry in class ,something I haven’t done since I was 14.
Monteverdi’s l'Orfeo, conducted by Jordi Savall, performed by Le Concert des Nations, La Capella Reial de Catalunya, and soloists.
I am so fond of this version, from the elegant set to the instrumentalists (crisp and full of vigour) to the warm and frankly imperfect singing. But what really makes it is Mr Savall’s entrance. The drums and brass start playing, and there he goes, striding down to the pit in his billowing robes. Jordi, you magnificent bastard!
Just to be clear:
My advocacy for the preservation of minority languages has nothing to do with the fact that they are interesting/fascinating/any other adjective of that nature
Minority languages deserve protection because they are important, and they are valuable
The worth of a minority language is not determined by the entertainment it can provide to outsiders
While I believe that all languages are beautiful and unique, it shouldn't matter that a language is ugly, or boring or "useless"
Yes, Celtic folk music is beautiful, but that is not the reason for preserving Celtic languages

She called me crying and told me her moms bf assaulted her last month and now shes worried because shes late and been feeling sick.

hey so uh
Since the referendum in Russia has approved of Putin’s changes to Constituition, letting him stay in power until 2035, redefining marriage as “union of man and woman” and the government literally having talks about banning rainbow and comparing rainbow flags to nazi symbolism, it’s not been great for the LGBT+ community here.
In addition to that, we had the awful “Gay Propaganda” law since 2013 and the number of hate crimes towards LGBT+ Russians has increased greatly since then, and it’s likely to increase even more now.
So maybe consider donating to Russian LGBT Network to help us Russian gays out?
