We always talk about how wilbur soot or rendog have to do historical roleplay or else they'll die but i think we need to start talking about how if quackity doesnt get to have an election in his rps he shrivels up and perishes
autistic people are allowed to fit autism stereotypes
i take things literally. i don’t get a lot of neurotypical humor and often feel left out of the joke or even feel like i’m the joke sometimes. i’m gullible. there’s no way to sugarcoat it or put it more nicely, i’m just gullible. i don’t always know what’s satire. i’m socially awkward and have a hard time befriending or remaining friends with anybody who isn’t like me.
much of the autism community puts so much emphasis on “all autistic people aren’t x” and not enough on “who cares if we’re x, we deserve rights”
this goes doubly for ID and nonspeaking autistics btw i just can’t speak to that experience personally
Fuck yeahh!
ok but LANCELOT THOUGH
NO i’m not talking about abusive Lotor manipulating lance and doing shitty things for the sake of Edgy Fanfiction TM or Lotor being that one asshole ex boyfriend in fics
I’m talking Lotor who sees lance the same way humans see puppies. Lotor the badass villain who goes weak in the knees when this adorable small scrubby awkward human with poofy hair does something dorky in front of him like trying to show off because “i want to protect it”
Lotor who originally kidnaps lance the first time around because he just wanted an excuse to carry the boy around and pet his hair and it just worked out in his favor that he could use lance as collateral. Lotor who notices Lance getting stressed out and kidnapping him ‘for collateral’ but mostly just to give him a chance to have a nice bath and cuddle and sleep and eat some food. Lance who just gets used to it after a while and learns to just chill until the others come and get him. Lance sighing deeply before braiding lotor’s hair or painting his nails or doing a facial with him in the mean time because ‘i mean what else am I gonna do.’ Lotor being just as high maintenance as Lance about his appearance and sometimes being a bit of a drama queen (kind of like Howl from Howl’s moving castle) and Lance figuring out how to get him to calm down. Lotor thinks he’s babysitting lance when really it’s the other way around in a lot of ways.
basically
As much as I love the endless mockery of Ben Shapiro’s bad takes on Glass Onion, I am compelled to point out his actual reasons for going off on this movie in particular because, appropriately, his motivation has layers.
Despite all evidence to the contrary, Ben Shapiro is not an idiot unaware that whodunits misdirect people. The reason he is sloppily complaining about a well-executed movie is because it has politics he doesn’t like and - more importantly - it’s proven to be a pretty popular and successful piece of media.
As the preeminent smart boi of the conservative grift-o-sphere, Ben has to respond to Glass Onion. It doesn’t matter that his criticism of its plot or writing makes him look stupid. He just needs to temporarily pretend for the length of a Twitter Thread that misdirects and tropes are “lazy writing.” As a far-right reactionary, Glass Onion demands…well. A Reaction.
Sure, people are mocking him - a failed writer of two extremely bad political thrillers - for his bad takes. Ben Shapiro is okay with looking foolish, because we and the rest of the people ribbing on him aren’t his intended audience. He’s the master of Youtube sound-bites and talking fast at college kids who have less media training than him. His bona-fides as a smart opinion haver has been well established as far as his millions of followers are concerned.
No, Ben’s role in the conservative ecosystem is to say stupid phrases like “Musk is one of the most successful entrepreneurs in human history” in his movie criticism so the people who believe that bullroar can emphatically agree and be reassured that ‘popular thing is bad.’
Meanwhile, the pundits like Ben who don’t really believe the crap they’re saying have to loudly pretend to believe it because it’s their job. It’s why Ben vocally denounced Trump as a dangerous candidate…until he became the frontrunner and it became disadvantageous to be a Trump critic. It’s why he defended Kanye West’s clear anti-Semitism…until the Hitler-stanning incident made it impossible to spin.
Because no matter what, Ben’s gotta maintain his position in the conservative ecosystem so he can hold on to those old, flabby, golden, oil-fracking billionaire titties.
Feckin' loved it. Keep it coming.
Title: Force to be reckoned with Pairing: Derek/Stiles Genre: Romance, Friendship, Family Rating: T
Notes: Mama!Stiles, Stiles is basically Pack Mom, which means he’s sort of the alpha, which makes Derek the dad, so Derek is a bit off character but not really, oh and the rest of the pack kind of act like children.
Summary: Stiles and Derek come home to a mess.

i think we should reclaim the phrase “autism won today” from those weird moms and instead use it whenever we decide to buy that fidget toy we’ve been wanting or engage in our special interest(s) a little too much™️ or literally anything else positive about the autistic experience

As an autistic person, I don't much like tone indicators (e.g., /s, /j, /nm, etc) for a very simple reason. They just replicate my issue with tone in a new medium.
IRL, I have to memorize tones and what they mean, then when I hear words, I need to retroactively change what I think they mean based on the tone.
With these "tone indicators", I need to do the exact same thing. Memorize the little weird acronyms, then when I read words, retroactively change what I think they mean based on the acronym.
Instead, can we actually SAY the words we mean, in the sentence? So instead of:
"hey when will you do the dishes /nm"
write:
"hey, not mad just asking, when will you do the dishes?"
If we really *must* use some kind of indicator, can we change it to a word in parentheses, like that meme? I often do this with short phrases or jokes, such as, "lol I hate you (affectionate)".
i made this instead of doing the things ive been "forgetting" to do
being very delusional about them
