THE  SKY  WAS  PAINTED  WITH  THE  DEEP  HUES  OF  TWILIGHT,  stars  beginning  to  peek  through  the  canopy  of  trees.  The  air  was  cool,  filled  with  the  scent  of  pine  and  earth,  and  the  tranquil  sounds  of  the  evening  forest  surrounded  them.  The  last  rays  of  sunlight  filtered  through  the  trees,  casting  long,  dappled  shadows.  Though  she  didn't  seem  to  mind,  for  she  was  still  absorbed  in  her  observations.  The  knight  stood  a  few  meters  behind,  watching  the  golden  glow  of  the  setting  sun  illuminate  her,  casting  a  halo  around  her  form  and  highlighting  her  focused  expression.

❝  We  should  head  back,  princess  ❞  Link  finally  spoke,  his  tone  a  soft  warning  as  his  eyes,  always  sharp  and  alert,  scanned  their  surroundings.  No  matter  how  peaceful  the  scene  may  seem,  he  couldn't  ignore  the  growing  worry  inside  him.  It  wouldn't  be  the  first  time,  nor  the  last,  that  someone  used  the  darkness  and  the  familiarity  of  a  path  to  attack  ❝  It  is  getting  late  ❞  He  continued,  adjusting  his  stance.  The  weight  of  his  sword  shifting  slightly  against  his  back  a  constant  reminder  of  his  duty  to  protect  above  anything  else.  Even  her  own  orders  or  wishes.

Been thinking for a while on making each version of Link more unique (like the Hero of Time would be more childish given that he is actually a kid who hasn't really grown even if 7 years passed or the Hero of the Wild would be more serious given that we know he feels a lot of pressure due to his position not only because of his crucial role in defeating Calamity Ganon but also because he wants to be a good example for the rest of the people) and so I will probably make detailed verses posts explaining this type of things and take a bit longer to add more verses (both from the games and other fandoms)

HE  REMAINED  SILENT  AS  HIS  BROWS  FURROWED  IN  THOUGHT,  doubt  filling  his  mind  as  he  contemplated  the  two  options  at  hand.  Though  perhaps  the  fact  that  he  walked  over  to  her  in  order  to  kneel  beside  her  was  answer enough of what he had decided.  An  hour  wouldn't  make  much  of  a  difference  if  she  did  discover  something  important,  and  he  would  always  be  at  her  side  to  make  sure  no  harm  ever  came  to  her  ❝  Can  I  help?  ❞  his  eyes  examined  the  stone  first  before  travelling  to  meet  hers  at  the  question.
