But seriously if you are writing a fic and give the s/o character a name, it defeats the purpose of an x reader. I don't care if it's oc x character story, have fun enjoy but for the love of God don't tag it as x reader please. I get wanting more people to see your stories but it's irritating to click on a fic that is tagged x reader and get two paragraphs in and the 'reader' has a name. You don't see honest to go x reader writers tagging their stuff x oc, so why are you doing it.

And don't come at me saying 'well there's extensions you can use to switch out the names' or 'if you don't like it don't read it' , because one I don't read it if I know from the start it's not truly an x reader and second not everyone uses a computer to read. I use my phone to read and there ain't no extensions for the app that do anything like that.

If you really want to post your OC fic in the x reader tag it's not hard to use Google docs to search out every mention of your OC's name and replace it with y/n.

Just for the love of God stop cross tagging oc fics with x reader it's annoying and bogs down the tags making it harder to find the real x reader fics that people work just as hard on.

So the tiktok ban lasted less than 24 hours and when Americans entered the app, they were met with this message:

I wasn't in favor of the TikTok ban on free speech grounds, but seeing people's reactions to getting this app taken away for 12 hours has actually radicalized me. This app needs to be banned, regardless of the motivation behind it. I don't care anymore.

People my age and younger are saying that they get all of their information from TikTok. All of it. They don't use Google, don't use any other website. They get their "news," recipes, leisure, all of their social connections through fucking TikTok. Saw someone genuinely say that they don't know how they're going to cook for themselves because they don't have access to fucking cooking TikToks. Saw someone say that they don't even know what to read anymore because HOW are they going to know what to read without booktok? Saw people saying that they feel suicidal and that their hands are shaky and they couldn't sleep last night knowing that TikTok was gone.

This is fucking insane. People are addicted to this. I am so fucking radicalized against this app, it's destroying us as a society. And YES, this is a TikTok specific problem, you don't see people saying that they'll fucking die if YouTube or Reddit is taken away from them, Jesus Christ.

And now, because TikTok users are so desensitized to blatant propaganda, there are tens of thousands of people unironically praising dear leader Trump for restoring their app to them. THIS WAS SUCH A BLATANT PROPAGANDA CAMPAIGN, are you fucking kidding me? "We thank President Trump for providing the necessary clarity and assurances"? ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? This is something that a goddamn politburo would release. And people are eating it up.
