Danny and Damian are NOT twins, but they do look similar. Similar enough that the teachers have even started to get the two of them confused ever since Danny started to go to Gotham Academy. It gets even worse since they share almost every class together, and seem to get paired up anytime group work is needed in class.
It surprisingly didn’t take Damian very long to warm up to the other boy; if anything it was Danny who took the longest to accept the growing friendship between them. From that point on the two would purposely sit next to one another every class. The other students notice this very quickly and it isn’t long before the nickname ‘The Twins’ is being used to refer to them.
Damian once he hears this is immediately on board, and decides that Danny will be his twin brother. This is when he starts planning on how he’s going to get Danny integrating into the family. It’s meant to be Damian thinks when he later learns that Danny is attending the school on a scholarship, and doesn’t have any other family members listed on any of his paperwork.
In the end Damian decides that the best course of action is to just be direct. So, at the end of the school day he drags Danny with him to the car pick area, and pulls Danny inside of the vehicle waiting for him. Promptly declaring to Alfred who is confused to see another young boy — one who resembles Damian greatly — that this is his twin brother.
And Alfred just takes one long look at the black haired blue eyed boy before thinking to himself, “the apple really doesn’t fall far from the tree does it?” Before putting the car in drive and heading towards the manor.
Chapter 3: The Bat Strikes Back
previous/next Masterpost
Danny had almost convinced himself that the incident at the café had blown over.
Almost.
Then, on his way back to his dorm, he felt it—a prickle of awareness down his spine. The same feeling he got when ghosts were watching him. But there were no ghosts in Gotham.
So that left one option.
Batman.
Danny picked up his pace. The sooner he got inside, the better. He could already hear Jazz yelling at him in his head. You were supposed to AVOID attention, Danny!
Unfortunately, his paranoia was justified.
The moment he reached his dorm building, a shadow dropped from above, landing silently in his path.
Danny skidded to a stop.
“…Oh, come on,” he groaned.
Batman loomed over him, unreadable behind the cowl.
“You threw deodorant at Bruce Wayne,” he stated flatly.
Danny swallowed hard. “Uh. No, I didn’t?”
Batman held up the incriminating deodorant stick.
Danny sighed. “Okay, maybe I did. But in my defense, Jazz told me to!”
Batman did not move. “Why?”
“Because she’s convinced you both collect traumatized teenagers like trading cards!” Danny blurted out.
Silence.
Then Batman exhaled through his nose, the closest thing to amusement Danny had ever seen from Gotham’s vigilante.
“Go home, Fenton,” Batman said, voice dry. “And tell your sister I don’t adopt random teenagers.”
“…Sure.” Danny took a careful step back. Then another. Then he bolted inside his dorm and locked the door behind him.
He was so calling Jazz.

Dcxdp trope twist
This was just supposed to be Danny’s introduction to the watchtower.
Tim and Kon had finally decided that, Danny, at six years old, was old enough to be introduced to the rest of the Justice League, while wearing a mask of course. While Young Justice knew he was Tim Drake, Batman still hadn’t outed himself as Bruce and Tim certainly wasn’t going to do it.
It had been going well too. Danny loved looking out at the cosmos, and everyone had been doting on him. He had chosen the name Crow, wanting to commit to the bit of birds. He looked adorable in his little suit and small cowl, and everyone loved him.
Then, Constantine walked in, made eye contact with his son, and paled before swearing wildly and fleeing. Now, Diana and Bruce were trying to get Constantine to explain, while Danny kept sticking his tongue out at Constantine whenever Constantine looked at him.
Meanwhile, Constantine is grappling with the fact that the Bat’s grandkid was king of the dead, and had a claim on his soul. That part was more worrying since Constantine had only ever dealt with one Infinite Realms being.
Danny is just trying to figure out if he should give Constantine his soul back, or let Constantine know part of his soul was currently being housed in a teddy bear.
One thing was for sure, Danny wasn’t letting Constantine take Dr. Bearbert the second.
Dp x dc prompt because I have nothing else on my mind.
Grayson twins au! But, Danny was given up for adoption as an infant. The Graysons couldn't take care of two kids in the circus. It was just too much. So they gave up one.
Years later, when they're both about 14, Dick and Danny finally meet. At first, they're actually quite similer. They're funny, puns galore, and just happy to know the other exists. They stayed in contact for a while, Bruce, Maddie, and Jack all kept in contact aswell. Making sure the boys had time to meet up. On all levels except for physical (fraternal twins) they were the same.
Then Danny's accident happened. No one but Danny and his friends knew. So when Dick noticed Danny's sudden change in behavior, he became worried. He started checking in more, constantly asking how Danny was.
But when Jason came into the picture, Dick also became distracted. Their contact dropped, their meet ups became scarce, and even when they did happen, Danny was quiet, and Dick was distracted.
Then Jason died. Dick became desperate for brotherly connection, grief and hallucinations consumed him. His lack of contact with Danny suddenly became too much. Constant maddening calls, worried letters, immediet panic whenever Danny didn't respond. Eventually, Danny had to sit him down and give him a very rough talk. It basicly sums up to, "Look, man, I have my own life, and I need to live it. Please, get help, and don't talk to me until you do." It was the finale nail in the coffin. Dick felt betrayed, and they wouldn't speak to each other for years after that.
Whenever they do meet again (up to you), everyone is shocked by how different they are. Dick is so bubbly and fun, Danny is serious and stiff. Dick is cuddly and affectionate, Danny keeps his distance and saves his praises for when they are really needed. Dick stands tall and strong, Danny slouches, depending on a crutch to support him.
While the bat siblings seem uncomfortable with him and unerved by the stark difference between the two, Dick has made it his mission to rekindle the brotherly fire between the two. Slowly, but surely, the siblings realise how alike they actually are, both for the good and the bad.
Arthur: So you have magic?
Merlin: Uh… yeah?
Arthur: for how long?
Merlin: Since birth.
Arthur: And you’re a dragon lord?
Merlin: Yeah my father was and it gets passed down.
Arthur: Sounds like royalty.
Merlin: No? I don’t think so.
Arthur: Yes it is, that means you’re a noble, a lord. We can get married now.
Merlin: WHAT???

"Why don't we all head inside, yes?" Mr. Wayne suggested, waving his arm in the doors general direction.
"Yes, that sounds great," Ms. Clance agreed, turning to Danny like she was debating whether or not she should drag him inside. Danny was very against that idea and glared at her. She huffed but turned and started making her way up the stairs.
The other, he can't really say kids because he's pretty sure half the people standing in front of him were over the age of eighteen, but they still lived with Mr. Wayne, apparently, so kids it was. The other kids continued to try to stealthily watch him as they made their way into the building. (He refused to call this place a house; it was bigger than Sam's manor for Ancients' sake.)
The gray-eyed girl waited for him, the not-so-happy but happy sparkle back as she watched him approach. Pausing for a moment, Danny turned and gently patted the bush closest to him, it had been practically begging for attention for the past ten minutes and Sam would have throttled him if he had just ignored it.
She treated them like demented puppies, and it's against every unspoken law (in danny's books, atleast) to ignore a puppy.
The gray-eyed girl (man, he was going to have to learn their names, Ancients, why were there so many people here?) tilted her head curiously, eyeing the plant he just patted.
"My friend has plant powers," Danny huffed, which was true. Sam still had lingering plant control and a connection to the green because of Undergrowth. Danny was just leaving out the fact that he also had plant powers. He wasn't sure why he always got new powers after beating new powerful ghosts, but it happens, and now he needs to pet the plants because they get sad if he doesn't.
(Jazz theorized once that the new powers were due to his half-a nature, but then they looked at Vlad and decided it was probably something else.) (Also, why in the world did he get ice powers and then almost immediately plant powers? like, seriously, why?)
"Close friend?" Gray asked, turning to follow Danny inside.
"One of my best friends," Danny agreed. Man, he missed them. He'd have to figure out how to get out of here soon; there was no way he was going to just not see his friends on Tucker's birthday. Which meant he had about a week to bust out of here and get back to Amity. Oh, and stay under the radar so Vlad doesn't find him.
Glancing around the entry hall, or was the term foyer? like, the place was fancier then most five star hotels he's seen (which he wants to make clear, was against his dying wishes. fuck vlad and his not hard earned money.) like, sure, it wasn't all white modern minimalist like the hotels, but he's pretty sure the vase just sitting a little too close to the edge of a table was worth more then a human heart on the black market.
"Welcome to Wayne Manor," Mr. Pennyworth started, closing the doors with a heavy thud. He didn't lock it, though, Danny noted. Probably because Ms. Clance still needed to leave.
"may I have your coats?" he asked, holding out his arm to Ms. Clance and looking over to Danny. Ms. Clance immediately started to shrug off her jacket and dropped it onto his arm without a second glance, trying to talk to Mr. Wayne about an office or something.
Danny shook his head, "No thanks. I prefer to keep my things with me." especially in a new place, who knows what they'd do to his stuff. last time he handed anything over it had been locked up and never returned. (or well, not returned until he stole it back right before leaving, but that's getting into semantics.)
"So, Daniel was it?" the older guy from the first three asked, smiling brightly and trying to act casual. He was failing.
"It's Danny," Danny huffed, glancing around to study the others.
Gray was nice, he had a feeling they'd get a long fine. she was like an open book, all her opinions and emotions right there for him to see. Though that just meant she was awear of them and could easily hide them.
The others not so much.
Eyebags looked tired but alert, watching Danny like he was a new puzzle. Which was fine, Danny could deal with that. He probably wasn't as bad as Jazz or his parents were when obsessed with new things, so he goes lower on the list but not off.
Mr. Casual over here was watching him AND the others, which meant he was probably the peacekeeper. That or he was the one who antagonized the others into acting without them noticing. Same as eyebags, then.
Blondie looked like she was planning how to prank him right then and there, but also like she was evaluating him for something. Like he thought earlier, she'll probably stick around until she gets bored. So, hmmm. Keep an eye on more than eyebags, but probably not a problem.
there was a kid maybe two-three years younger than him trying to hide on the stairs out of view, he looked pissed off and annoyed. Something was telling Danny he should stay away from him. So, definitely going to the top of his list right next to butler man.
And finally, Mr. Wayne. He was smiling and chatting with Ms. Clance like he didn't have a care in the world. And it would have been believable if it wasn't for the fact that the man was easily steering the conversation away from the stuff Ms. Clance wanted to talk about, without Danny around, before leaving. Which means Mr. Wayne wanted Danny to be part of the conversation, probably to get both sides of the story.
He was smart and knew how to manipulate situations without people catching on.
Also, top of the list, then.
"Only people who want to kill me call me Daniel," Danny added, watching as Ms. Clance tried to bring up his file and fell for another diversion.
"Really?" Eyebags asked, actually surprised for some reason.
Oh, wait, murder isn't normal. Ha, to live a normal life. It must be boring. Couldn't be him, even if he wanted it. There was nothing normal about growing up with mad scientists, and nothing normal about being half dead and a vigilante.
"Yeah, my friends and I made a chart and everything. Granted, we didn't have many people to add to the list to compare with, but it's checked out so far." Danny admitted, turning to face Eyebags.
Honestly, it was just Vlad, his parents, a few GIW agents, and those very few times his friends almost killed him. But come on, they all called him Daniel at some point. Therefore, it totally checks out.
"Huh," Mr. Casual blinked, glancing at his siblings before shaking his head. "Right, so uh, why do people want to kill you?"
"Because they're Fruit Loops," Danny grumbled, finally deciding to approach Ms. Clance. Might as well get this done and over with. The longer she stayed, the less time Danny would have to scout the place by himself later, after all the introductions.
Next (to be written)
He can see the other plane about to t-bone them, and is fully prepared to...somehow fumble his way through an explanation as to why he disappeared and superman took his place, but the meta kid sitting next to him has a different idea.
The meta kid let's out a strangled shriek, grips the armrests of the seat, and the entire plane goes intangible.
The other plane delicately just...glides through their plane, and everyone on their plane and everyone on the other plane just stare at each other as they pass by in horrified silence.
The people seated where the other planes engines are passing through harmlessly initially let out a few terrified screams, but they taper off when they realize that nothing is happening.
Then it's over.
The kid, hyperventilating, lets go of the armrests once the other plane has completely cleared them, and immediately goes for one of those little baggies to empty the contents of his stomach.
His nose is bleeding, his ears are bleeding, and he looks dazed. He clearly overdid it.
Clark is running a hand up and down his back, trying to get him comfortable, while the other passengers and crew stare at the kid in awe.
After all, there's only one person acting like this after something as insane as making every single person intangible. It has to be the kid. The kid has to be a meta, and that meta just saved all of them.
But the kid peeks up at Clark, eyes full of fear, and says something that makes his heart drop into his stomach.
"Please don't tell my parents."
Post TUE, but like, right after
“Recognized: Phantom B-08”
Zatanna and Artemis disengaged from the spar, turning to Zeta-Tubes almost in tandem with the rest of the Team. Wally caught himself preparing to the fight.
There was simultaneously a lot and very little Team knew about Phantom. They knew his favorite constellation, his favorite level in Doomed and his typical fast-food order and which parts were better or worse than Nasty Burger in every fast food place they visited. They didn't know whether he was ghost or meta or something else, they didn't know his non-hero name or if he had one at all.
There were things falling somewhere in between on this spectrum.
But they knew for the fact that he wasn't supposed to come in today and that he didn't use Zeta-Tubes unless situation was really dire. Yet even then it usually required a lot of convincing, as seen during whole Klarion-two-Earths debacle. At some point during it, Wally considered how faster would it be if he just asked Phantom to stack up on high- calory food and run to pick him up instead. In the end he didn't say anything, because ghost agreed, sounding like he was just sentenced to the gallows. Understandable, considering his... everything around portals in general, but especially ones that feel like they're taking someone apart. But! The point was, hearing Zeta-Tube call out Phantom was not normal nor a good sign. Fact that they didn't know what was going on or expecting him was unprecedented.
Wally sprinted out to get fire blanket. They owned actual weighted blanket, carefully washed and [wietrzony] to make sure it wasn’t smelling bad to anyone with enhanced senses, but for some reason fire blanket worked on the ghost the best.
He was back before other boy fully settled against wall of the Zeta-Tube, tugging at his hair like he did when he needed to calm down. It’s not like slowly breathing really did anything for him. Wally wrapped him up, making sure it was tight enough that hands he put down would not have room to do any real damage. It tended to happen when he was like this.
Wally very carefully didn’t think about the fact that Phantom didn’t even have enough energy or presence of mind to leave Zeta-Tube even though it was always first thing he did. Even, or maybe especially, when he forgot where he was for a moment.
Rest of the Team crowded around them, talking soft encouragements, rubbing his back and hair, tapping rhythm for him to… just overall ground him, Zatanna made up some ice too. Phantom seemed to shrink away from they’re touch, as much as he could when they were everywhere. Black Canary sharply told them to back away.
They all took few steps back, because something was really wrong and they weren’t helping but they had to try and–
Light erupted from somewhere under the blanket and traveled up and down Phantom’s body. Everyone, including Black Canary, lunged towards the boy, because what was that? What was that? Was Phantom dying in front of all of them?
Tired blue eyes blinked at them from under the shock of black hair. It was still undeniably Phantom, he stood in the same place and looked the same, except of eyes and hair color and lack of general air of otherness, but-
“My name is Danny Fenton, I'm a halfa, half ghost half human hybrid created in specific lab accident and no matter what, if my family ever dies you can't let Vlad Masters become my legal guardian. Doesn't matter if it means court case, kidnapping or murder,” he rushed out, words tumbling over each other, like he made this little formula and learned it by heart and wanted to get it out before he forgot any part of it.
Everyone just… froze for a moment.
And then Phantom started hyperventilating, swaying were he stood, so they jumped back to action, dragging him out of machine and onto some chair M’gann moved in. Black Canary ran him through breathing exercise (Phantom was breathing, Phantom was breathing, Phantom was breathing and it was so wrong Wally felt hair standing on the back of his neck). With mutual effort from Robin, Kaldur and Zatanna, there was a bag of ice in ghost’s (halfa’s?) hands, to help ground him. Artemis tapped on his shoulder in tandem with Canary’s instructions, while Conner run off somewhere. There was fifty/fifty chance he went to get something or just needed to get away. M’gann flew away muttering something about making a tea.
Wally felt really lost but also overwhelmed by the need to do something, so he tried singing (or humming, at least) some songs that you’re supposed to play when resuscitating someone. Then it hit him, that it felt too fast, maybe because his main thing was being fast and he was a bit too wrung out to focus on being slower, maybe because song itself was too fast, he didn’t know. He sang something slower anyway.
He could almost see the moment when Phantom, or Danny, he said his name was Danny, calmed down enough to understand where he was.
“Hello Danny”
The boy slumped a bit and refused to make eye contact with anyone.
“Hi Black Canary”
“Are you quite alright?”
“Who is attacking?” Wally blurted out without really thinking. They needed to know and, honestly, he was known to be the guy who never thought before he spoke.
Pha-nny whipped to look at him, visibly startled, which was not a good look considering he wasn't really epitome of calm even before.
“No one I know about, why would they?” he asked, sounding way too clueless about it.
“You used very quick mode of transportation, that is also really triggering to you,” Kaldur explained patiently, “one that you usually only travel through in case of emergencies—”
“And had panic attack as soon as you showed up which had not happened after first three times, meaning you were already pretty shaken before going in,” Robin interrupted.
“We want to know happened to make you use it this time?”
There was another slow blink.
“No one is attacking anymore. I won. I won. I saved them. I won,” he said, descending into panicked mutter. Black Canary motioned them to move away again, because clearly, crowd was not helping him.
“Hey, breathing is constant demand, don't forget about it,” Artemis snapped.
“Who did you win with? Who did you save?”
Phantom just glanced at Black Canary and got back to staring into middle distance, technically present in mind and body but clearly not fully. Wally didn’t want to know what horrors made him crash so hard. There were few things that could make him stop joking, even less that could do this.
“Would you…” Phantom whispered and then his breath hitched. Ghost just stared at all of them for a moment, jumping from person to person like terrified rabbit, wide eyed and terrified. Something glass or ceramic shattered behind them.
“Oh, Danny”
“M’gann what’s going on?”
“We’re alive Danny,” she said with conviction surprisingly strong with how soft she sounded before “We’re alive and well and whatever you saw or think you saw, it was a lie. We’re alive and well”
“But-”
“He didn’t kill us”
Artemis pushed her way back to the ghost and shook him by his shoulders.
“What happened, Phantom?”
Phantom or well, Danny, looked through her like he was once again recalling something, that shouldn't be in his mind to be recalled.
And then he explained future that won’t happen, with sauce explosions, dead families and court of talking eyes.
And then he made them promise. Wally doubted any of them would be able to keep it, and everyone knew that, but they promised either way.
Galas, trash talking and that guy that I don’t want to talk to
Danny, Sam and Tucker were standing close to the wall, silently judging people on the Gala. Wayne gala. One of the most prestigious, Well-known and terribly boring event in high society. How did they get there? Enter Rich-ass Sam’s parents and rich-ass fruitloop. The only consolation was them dragging Tucker with them. And The only way to made them behave, apparently. The list of pranks they prepared was impressivly long. But… a deal was a deal. So no pranks. Only them isolating themselves and trash talking in fancy suits other attendants in fancy suits. Fantastic.
-I can bet 10 bucks that this lady in shiny red dress will flirt with Wayne again. - That was Tucker.
- psh too easy that is obvious.- Sam grumbled.
-But she already tried like Three times. I Think it would be a streach. No way she has that little of self respect. You are on.- Danny countered.
-oh poor naive Danny. You lack experience in those matters. Believe me when I say she WILL try again. - And true to Sam’s words the lady tried. Swiftly ignored by organisator of this glorious event. Danny groaned and handed money to Tucker. That was how last two hours had gone by. They already gone thorough all apetizers. After, four attempts to get their hands on alcohol were stopped by staff they give up. They strolled through garden or rather the part that was open, and been to the toilet at least five times. So boredom. Utter boredom.
Danny let his eyes wander through the crowd. He was able to see Vlad persuading some poor businessman into very shady and probably disandventageous deal. Or meeting one on one, where he would just overshadow him and sign the documents. Both were shitty options.
There were times that Danny tried to sabotage Vlad deals but adults tended to ignore warnings from teenagers. So he got fed up with being ignored. Some things are unstoppable. He can fight super-powered king of undead but he can’t talk out an adult from trusting his psycho pseudo-uncle. So no intervention here. He let himself look again, suprisingly he caught eye contact with other teen. Black haired, blue eyed around their age probably slightly older. He started to move towards them.
-carefull some rich kid on the way. -he warned while keeping him in his vision. Both his friends heads snapped too look.
-Dude that is not SOME rich kid that Timothy Drake-Wayne! How could you not recognise him. - Tucker gushed
-Uh, sorry that I don’t know all celebrities. Lately I have been busy fighting ghosts and interdimentional tresspasers if you hadn’t noticed.- Danny hissed back. Sam rolled her eyes, whispering:
- Calm down, just remember that he is adopted son of Bruce Wayne. The one involved in technology.
Danny didn’t get the chance to answer before object of their conversation came to them.
-Hello, Timothy Drake-Wayne, Having fun?
The silence was uncomfortable. Sam got herself together the fastest:
- Of course Mr Drake, amazing event beautifull decorations!
Danny eyed her weirdly. Who could guess she could be such a good lier? He could pick on subtle sarcasm there but only because he knew her. For anyone else she sounded perfectly genuine and honest. He held back a laugh. He loved her so much.
-Tim is fine, I am already Mister in too many places. At the end I am only two years older Lady Samantha. - he answered flashing a smile at her. Huh. That was weird. Danny was not a mood reader but he got a distinct feeling he tried to subtly suck up to them. What a son of multimillionaire could want from them?
-It’s amazing to meet you in person Tim, I am Tucker! I love your work in IT, your new design of pada is fantastic. The outer layer of inside mechanisem is….
Tucker could talk about technology for hours. He knew this particular rant by heart so he let himself focus on Tim. He listened to Tucker and nodded in right places but didn’t seem really interested. However, What he did do was subtly glancing in Danny’s direction quite often. He let his senses wander and focused on newcomer. Tim smelled of expensive perfume, sweat and… suprisingly blood. Quite a lot of blood if Danny was being honest. Apart from that he could taste his determination and growing irritation the longer Tucker spoke. Well not Danny’s problem he can get bored and piss off. He will gladly come back to trash talking other guests now thank you very much.
- So Daniel, I have seen you on few other events but I havent had occasion to talk to you!- that was what brought Danny’s attention back to earth.
-It’s Danny - he corrected out of habit. Sam casted him murderous glare.
-Uh… nice to meet you. - the silence that lasted longer than socialy acceptable was akward. Ancients, Danny hated it so much. He wasn’t really fan of small talk with people he didn’t know. Or generally social interactions but here he is.
- Sooo did you took part in preparations to Gala or is it only your father this time?- Sam tried to save the situation.
- No this time is Bruce and Richard work. So Danny are you involved in your uncle business? Bruce and I had a very interesting conversation about possible deal and wanted to talk a little more about it.
Huh. So this was scouting business. No way Vlad would leave his talks unfinished or without any date to discuss it further. He would also not allow Danny involvement in any way. Not after that one fiasco. So Tim was bullshiting. Well that just rised Danny’s opinion about him from 0 to like 20 on scale 1 to 100. He does not deliberately plan to sabotage Vlad business anymore. But if some guy with heart screwed on comes to him Well…
- Whatever he says I advise to not associate with him. Better to ghost him. if you do actually decide that you must do business with him do not and I can’t stress it enough stay with him one on one in a room. - Danny States calm and even. He Made sure that his eyes were serious and didn’t break eye contact for a moment.
That was a time when Vlad came up to them. Out of breah and slightly dishelved. Obviously he panicked when he saw Tim with them. Danny smirked. Vlad glared.
- Daniel it is time for us to go. Samantha your parents are looking for you and your friend. Mr Drake pardon us we are in a hurry.
-Of course UNCLE.- He smiled inconently.
-bye Tim, Sam, Tucker- he said while looking over his shoulder. His eyes were drilled in Tim’s.
There was something unnerving about Danny’s eyes- Thought Tim.
It is just a thought that I had during my Ester Breakfast when I looked at those fancy silverware that me and my family takę out on christmas and Ester. So yes quick drabble. I have no idea if I will continue or not but I had fun writing it SO here it is.
