I think the proposal scenes in all adaptations of Little Women have their strengths and I like them all but the earlier versions having Laurie say ‘I’ll be hanged if I stand by and watch’ as opposed to 2019′s defeated ‘ ...and I’ll watch’ immediately move them down my ranking.
