Can we talk about the sexism that occurs in the Hannibal fandom.

A lot of haters of the series say that the sexism is rooted in the show itself, which it’s not. The show had no themes of sexism except for the fact that every female character deserved better. Chiyoh, Molly, Margot, Abigail, Alana, Beverly.

The sexism is rooted in the fandom. I see posts glorifying the male characters and then pointing out the flaws of the female characters and ridiculing them. (Hating one female character is one thing. But hating ALL OF THEM???🤨🤨🤨)

Like Hannibal is literally a cannibalistic serial killer who manipulates people, yet you’re hating on Chiyoh who was a victim of his manipulation and saying that she was dumb for staying in that castle for so long. I’m just so deeply confused.

One thing that always confused me was why no one questioned Will throwing up Abigail's ear more.

Like, that's a whole, raw ear. No other tissue. No bite marks, evidence of chewing, or even digestion really. Like, did they just think he dry swallowed it like asprin? Just rawdogged a piece of cartilage the size of his tongue? That man has seizures and you think he can just Looney Tunes gulp an ear down his throat?

They probably asked Hannibal and his freaky ass was like "Will Graham has many unique qualities. Perhaps one such traits is being able to swallow large pieces of flesh without gagging" or some shit.
