dancing (drowning)
The dark waters slip through her fingers, the waves swaying in a dance she can’t hear the music to. Would it let her go if she gives in? Or would it drown her, like those who danced before her? Would she be able to rest if she just closes her eyes?
Then, in the distance, she sees it - a beacon of light amongst the cruel waves of the ocean.
A small island in the middle of nowhere, a quaint house nestled between the trees. The lights from the house feel like a relief, like the first sliver of hope in bloodshed. She can almost feel the blessings splashed on her skin, the first ray of sun after a stormy hurricane. A figure stalks out of the red door, wrapped in warmth & comfort. She couldn’t see his face from where she was but she recognizes the soul all the same.
He smiles, eyes crinkled with content. And in the desperation to feel that same smile stretched under her thumbs, she finally swims.
The dark waters slip through her hands, laps at the open wounds on her legs (through her armour, on her back, on her neck, on the torn line of her left eye) - cocooning her in a slow ascend, a return to a home long since buried in a hope dismissed.
She reaches out her cold hands and he catches her with his calloused ones.
He clings to her hands, her waist, attempting to replace the chill with his own heat. She cradles his face with the same reverent love, the almost-worship adoration that she left him with the day he left her bloodstained.
The wave crashes against the shore and the dance begins.

A few weeks ago the UN reported that everyone in Gaza is facing a food crisis -and that 1 in every 4 people in Gaza are starving -a quarter of their population is hundreds of thousands of Palestinian people. EVERYONE is hungry -their medical systems have collapsed and there are imminent outbreaks of diseases. How HUMILIATING and dehumanizing it is to have to fight for basic necessities. Imagine seeing a humanitarian truck -something rare because as we know the IOF has been collectively punishing Palestinian people for months now and has been committing mass genocide under the guide of 'war.' Not letting through resources to prevent people from dying from starvation is beyond depraved. And the fact we will NEVER see this on western/European mass media is just... absolutely infuriating.

Hello, my name is Mohammed Abu Zour, a father of three children, I write to you from the heart of Gaza, amidst the rubble of our home that was completely destroyed in the recent bombing. We were forced to flee to the south, where we now live under unbearable conditions.
Life here lacks all essentials. We do not have the basic necessities of life, nor the urgent healthcare services that we desperately need. These dire circumstances are particularly severe for my son, who suffers from hepatitis. His condition worsens day by day, and he urgently needs treatment that is not available here. The only hope for his recovery is to receive treatment outside of Gaza.
Additionally, my beloved wife Dina is also suffering. She is currently pregnant and suffering from a serious condition known as preeclampsia. This requires specialized medical care and a cesarean section, but there is no hospital here equipped to provide the necessary care. I fear for her life and the life of our unborn baby due to the severe shortage of medical services, the lack of clean and safe food and water, and the absence of a safe and sanitary place to stay.
Moreover, my thirteen-year-old son and I endured another ordeal when we were captured by the military. We were subjected to a month of torture. After our release, I carried physical injuries and bruises, while my son suffers from severe psychological trauma as a result of the captivity.
Therefore, I appeal to everyone with compassion and humanity to help me and my family leave Gaza through the Rafah border crossing. We urgently need to relocate to a place where we can access the necessary medical care and the safety that we desperately lack here.
I extend my deepest gratitude to everyone who will contribute to helping and supporting my family in this ordeal. Your support is the only hope we cling to in these challenging times. ️

Hello, I am Dina, I am 25 years old, I have two children, I gave birth to my child during the war, under bombing and genocide. I support my children and my children have become without a place or security. My daughter is 2 years old and my son is 3 months old, I gave birth to him under bombing and no medical care for me and my child.
My children need basic needs such as milk and food. I currently live in a tent after I lost my home due to the occupation and I cannot tell you what life is like there. It is like hell. Very hot in the summer and cold in the winter. In addition, there are insects and snakes. It is suffering. I want my children to live and be able to survive. Save them from the war and provide them with their needs of clothes and food. I have been displaced several times, and every time I was escaping death and bombing amidst the screams of my children so that I could get them out of Gaza to a safer place, so I ask you to extend a helping hand to save them from death and so that my heart does not break or something bad happens to them. and hamas? testimonies from israeli hostages have been consistent from the start: they are not harmed, mistreated, or tortured. food and medical attention was provided as their captors were able to provide it (the lack of food is directly a consequence of the blockade on gaza). they are returned from 50+ days of being held hostage - a harrowing, traumatizing ordeal, obviously - but they've returned in good form, flying in the face of (and frankly upstaging) every piece of israeli, american, and western propaganda churned out.
