TREAT!
(Image description: A very messy grey raccoon paw holding a candy in an orange wrapper. The candy is wrapped like a Tootsie Roll, but square. The background is a light sea foam green. End ID).
Kind of a rant about probably my least favorite holiday:
Unhappy 4th of July to the people that set off bird killers and flashback initiators.
Hate fireworks. I live in an area that’s obsessed with them though. We’re autistic and have PTSD, so they’re a big no for us. Our PTSD isn’t even from combat, but they’re still causing negative stuff in our brain as we type this out. I hope the birds nesting in our area (and all the other people and critters) are okay, but I know they aren’t.
Also, WHY do they set them off in the week or so leading up to tonight too?
I swear my neighbors are playing some kind of July 4th playlist (so far “Firework” and “Party In The USA” have played). Like okay, we’re losing our rights and you’re celebrating this oppressive place by shooting things into the sky. Add “American Healthcare” by Penelope Scott. It’s much more accurate.
- Gia (she/her).
People who have gone through RAMCOA have asked you to stop using that flag because of its connections to Halloween colors
Nobody asked me not to use it, but I will stop using it now. I apologize, I didn’t know. Can you or someone else tell me what flag I should be using instead? Is it the green, blue, and yellow one?
I haven’t been able to draw lately due to mental health reasons, but I will redesign my banner and icon as soon as I can. Thank you for letting me know.
Hey everyone! We’re doing a project about mental illness terminology being misused online.
The terms we will be discussing are
1. Psychopath and sociopath
2. Narcissist
3. Intrusive thoughts
4. Delusions/“delulu.”
If you see any posts misusing these words, feel free to send them to us.
Also, mutuals, if you have/experience any of these, and you’d like your words/experiences to be used in our project, DM us. We personally don’t have all four of these, so anything y’all want to talk about involving them will be appreciated. It’s not going online, just being presented in a format similar to a Ted Talk to some people at our school.
Thanks everyone.
Edit: Definitely should have mentioned this earlier, but the project is done. It went pretty well. Thank you to everyone who told me about their experiences. We really appreciate it.
Tried to doodle your profile picture
Ahhhh oh my goodness I love it so much! Thank you! <3

In-System Relationships
Sorry this took so long. We’ve been really excited about this one. Next comic will be about signs that were missed. Bonus points if you can guess the sources of any of our fictives (I think one is pretty obvious if you know the source).
Unrelated to DID: My Very Good Friend @petticoatedmouse made a Discord server for people who like sewing. No particular level of experience required.
Here is the link:
[Image description:
Note: Their identities are listed because they are holding their flags in the comic.
First image, panel 1: A grey background with two people, Jenny (she/her), a fictive, who is demisexual and pansexual, and Omara (ze/zir), who isn’t an introject, but based parts of their appearance on a video game character. Omara is sapphic and has an unlabeled gender. The caption reads “In-system relationships… …quite a complex phenomenon.”
Panel 2: A pink background with the outline of a red heart and the captions, “So complex, in fact, that we can even feel the attraction on the outside. But only if the alter experiencing attraction is fronting or co-conscious.”
Panel 3: A grey background showing Worlds (she/they), a lesbian introject (who is also a vampire), and Kelly (she/her), a bisexual factive, holding hands. The caption says, “Sometimes, there are very much like out-of-system relationships.”
Panel 4: Worlds, whose bat wings are now visible, is flying through space with Kelly on their back. The captions are in white boxes and they read, “Other times, not so much” and “Yeah, I don’t think singlets typically fly through space (our innerworld is in space) on their partner’s back.”
Second image, panel 1: A sea foam green background with the words, “Of course, not every headmate wants this. We just have a lot of in-system relationships.”
Panel 2: A stage with a keyboard, microphone, and part of a drum set visible with a grey background is shown. Two alters are standing on it, Bay (she/her), a fictive who is ambiamorous and omnisexual, is standing by the piano looking at Sodium, and Sodium (she/her), an ambiamorous lesbian, is standing by the mic looking at Bay. The caption says: “They can be just as complex as out of system relationships… (yes, we have a stage in headspace where we perform whatever we’re listening to IRL).”
Panel 3: Captions say, “…and just as full of love.” and “While we have several polyamorous and ambiamorous headmatss, we don’t have any throuples or other with more than two partners. Systems that do have these are absolutely valid though.” Sodium is shown sitting on a grey bench on a grey background with another factive, Radium (she/her), who is demiromantic, demisexual, and trixensexual.
Panel 4: A sea foam green background with the caption, “They are very important in our system. When partners spend time together, it improves our overall mental health.”
Third image, panel 1: A sea foam green background with the caption, “This gets more complicated with introjects. Sodium and Radium are factives from the same source, but they aren’t dating IRL, which is a bit awkward. And yes, it’s valid to have factives who are dating IRL. We just don’t have any.”
Panel 2: Caption: “With fictives, it’s a little different. You may be fan favorites or even canon. Or you may be an unpopular ship or not canon (valid as long as there are no problematic elements) (no, they’re not getting married, this is how they dress in source).” It shows Jules (he/they), a bi demiboy, and Alicia (she/they), a pan girl (both fictives) on a grey background, looking at each other.
Panel 3: Caption: “And yes, it’s also valid to have fictives who aren’t dating their source-partner. Whether that’s because you don’t have an introject of them…” Cristina (she/they), who is pan, is shown on a grey background, saying, “If we had an introject of him, and he asked me out, I’d say yes.”
Panel 4: Caption: “…or because they’re simply not attracted to them (although in this case, we don’t have an introject of him either- thank goodness).” Eugenia (she/any), who is pan, and Mercedes (she/they/he), who is non-binary and straight (we chose to include that because they aren’t cis), are shown on a gray background saying, “Ewwwwww!”
Fourth image, panel 1: A sea foam green background with the caption: “Of course, in-system relationships aren’t for everyone.”
Panel 2: Rhombus (they/them), who is gendervoid, agender, and aroace, is shown on a grey background, with a caption and arrow next to them that reads, “Not interested in any kind of relationship.”
Panel 3: Three alters, Inflexible (they/them) (introject), who is lesbian, oriented aroace, and bellusaroace, Grey (they/he) (introject), who is non-binary and aroace, and Jayde (they/them), who is oriented aroace, pomosexual, and liagender, are shown on a grey background. Caption: “All three are interested in QPRs, and all three have experienced tertiary attraction towards people in the outerworld, but they are not interested in each other.”
Panel 4: A sea foam green background with the caption, “Especially when what you want is on the outside.”
Panel 5: The hosts, Ao (ey/eir) and Ruby (she/her) (captions say to check our first comic for their labels because there are a lot of them)!are shown on a grey background. The caption next to Ao has an arrow and says, “Has feelings for a singlet.” The caption next to Ruby has an arrow and says, “Has feelings for a different singlet.”

And the winner was... actually a tie...
Yeah, now we're going to do a run off. Though we will probably do the runner-up after this one.
So...
Poll Update: Inflexible actually said something that gave us the idea for our next comic. So the poll will be used to decide the comic after that.
~ Matthew (still me, just decided I'd rather use this name on here)
Update: After mentally planning everything over the course of several hours, they decided that they'd rather not do that comic (it's a little too personal for them). Fear not, we are going to be putting out a new comic before the poll one, and it will be very sweet.
Happy Disability Pride Month! Sorry for being five months late. We promise we started it on time and planned to release it on time. There has been a LOT going on, but I’m happy to report that it’s mostly been good. We haven’t had the spoons to finish this comic, but now it’s finally done! As always, we hope you all enjoy this one! Image description at the bottom.
[Image Description:
Panel 1: The words “HAPPY DISABILITY PRIDE MONTH” are written over the disability pride flag.
Panel 2: The top of the panel says, “Whether affected by other disabilities or acting on its own, DID is a strange disability.” There are three boxes. In the first, a person with light skin and reddish almost-shoulder-length hair is standing with eir hands over eir face. The words “Please don’t let me split an introject of them” are written several times. In the second box, a guy with light skin and short light brown curls is standing with a thought bubble above his head. The bubble says, “*Thoughts that I can’t put into words*” He is saying, “I have dissociative identity disorder. I’m not Ao. My name is Holden, and I use he/him pronouns.” The third box is made to look like a screen. There are three smaller boxes inside of it. They read, “My Simply Plural”/“Is so complex”/“And I organize it for fun.”
Panel 3: In the top left corner, there is a shape resembling a dark gray cloud. Inside of it, at the top, the text reads, “So much splitting…” Beneath it, there are six different messy outlines of a person’s head and shoulders. Beneath that are the words, “And we latch onto media, so… introjects.” In the top right corner, there is a black rhombus with white cracks. There is a box toward the top that reads, “And, of course…” At the bottom of the rhombus, there is another box, which reads, “…things happened that made me this way. And DID isn’t the only disability I got from those things.” At the bottom of the panel, a person with medium brown skin, brown eyes, black hair, and black glasses stares slightly downward. The words above them read, “Try interacting with your source IRL. Makes us feel guilty, even if we get along with them.” There is a thought bubble next to them that reads, “He doesn’t know who I am, or even that I have this disorder.” A box next to them shows an arrow pointing to him that reads “Leon (they/he).”
Panel 4: In the top left corner, there is a a round shape with a double helix outline. Inside, there is a somewhat unclear gray outline of a person’s head and shoulders with the words, “WHO AM I???” written at the top. In the top right corner, there is a pair of blue eyes, a nose, and an expressionless mouth. It is duplicated many times in the surrounding area, overlapping it. The duplications are all somewhat transparent. Above that, the text reads, “(Hopefully, I’ll make a full comic about dissociation someday- that’s what this represents)”. At the bottom are a pair of light hands. The outline of the hands is not properly connected to the fill color. On the hands are the words, “My hands… …are so weird.”
Panel 5: There are two boxes. In the top one, the words, “The guilt…” are written at the top. Under that, there is a person with light skin, brown eyes, and dark brown hair with one hand over her face, covering their eye. She is saying, “WHY was I like that back in middle school???” Next to them, there is text with an arrow that reads, “Elizabeth, she/they (not exactly what she goes by… it’s complicated).” In the second box, there is text at the top that reads, “The realizations…” Under that, Elizabeth is there, with both hands over her eyes, saying, “Wait… my source *was* involved in all that messed up stuff back in middle school. Why couldn’t I accept that she hurt me?” On the right side of the panels, written in big letters and running vertically, are the words, “AND SO MUCH MORE”.
Panel 6: The outline of this panel is a double helix on each side, each a different color of the system flag (dark gray, light blue, light green, yellow). The panel reads, “I know we don’t usually talk about the bad stuff on here, but since this is for disability pride month, we wanted to talk about the disabling aspects of DID. This isn’t everything, of course. Perhaps I’ll talk about more of it in the future. I didn’t go into a lot of detail. Perhaps I will in the future. We hope everyone had a good disability pride month, and we apologize again for being so late.”

Hey y'all! We're HeadOfSeaFoam, and we have DID! As we mentioned in our bio, we are going to be making comics about our experiences as a system and posting them here. We're also going to be posting some general DID/OSDD stuff. Here's some stuff about us and our page:
Asks: - If you have any questions about our comics or DID/OSDD in general, feel free to ask! We actually enjoy answering questions about this stuff. - Please remember that we cannot diagnose anyone and we are not medical professionals, though we have read the DID section of the DSM-V and have had to do... too much research on this to get people to listen to us. So we do know what we’re talking about, but we are still not comfortable diagnosing anyone. - The only DID/OSDD related stuff we are not okay with being messaged about are trauma stuff, unless we specifically say we're okay with talking about a particular part of our trauma (this is for obvious reasons), and syscourse (because it is everywhere and we are so tired of hearing about it- we are not okay with being messaged about any discourse in general). We do have a syscourse stance, we just don’t want to talk about it.
Other Stuff: - We might have the name of a random piece of media as a tag in a post. If we do, it's probably the source of the person who made the post or someone mentioned in the post. - We do have factives, some of whom have the same name as their sources. Unless said factive is a deceased historical figure, has a super common first name (in that case, we just won't say the source/last name), or something like that, we will not be using their name if it is the same as their source's. We will likely use a periodic table element that is somewhat connected to them. Example: if we had an introject of someone named Theophania Indigo (just a random super uncommon name), we could go with Thorium (Th), Titanium (Ti), or Indium (In).
-Singlets (people who are not systems) can absolutely interact/follow.
Some things about us collectively:
Secular Jew.
Physically disabled.
Rollator user.
Queer.
Intersex.
Transmasculine & transfeminine (see previous bullet).
Probably something else I meant to put here that I am now forgetting.
We hope you enjoy our comics! :D
First Comic!
Title: “Hosts”
Uh yeah so we’re the hosts. Nice to meet everyone. :D
[Image Description:
Top half of first picture:
Enby with reddish hair past chin length in a hoodie saying, “Hey y’all! I’m Ao, and I’m one of the hosts. I’m also the one who identifies with the body! I use ey/eir pronouns. Used like: “I saw eir today. Ey was smiling at that cat of eirs.”
Butch girl with short dark hair saying, “Hey! I’m Ruby! I’m the other host, and Ao is my twin sibling. I don’t identify with the body, but I grew up in it along with Ao. Both of us age with the body. I use she/her pronouns.”
Bottom half of that picture:
Ruby: “Now we’re going to talk about our labels. If you don’t know what any of these mean, feel free to ask.”
Ao: “I’m kind of a microlabel enthusiast, sooooo this one applies more to me than to her.”
There is a white box that says “Label Lists” and two pieces of paper with scribbles below them.
Top half of second picture is a close-up of these lists.
List 1: Ao’s labels:
Omnisexual, demiromantic, aceflux, nebulasexual, nebularomantic, alexigender, aurorian, autigender.
List 2: Ruby’s labels:
Lesbian, ambiamorous, graysexual, demisexual.
Bottom half of that picture:
Ao: “We hope you enjoyed this comic! Expect more soon! Thanks for reading and please take care of yourselves!”
Ruby: “See y’all later!”
