you make a cup of hot cocoa, and put on your favorite holiday movie. you snuggle up in a nest of your favorite blankies to keep warm and lots of stuffies for comfort. you sip your cocoa and watch your movie, and as you look outside you see its snowing! little flakes of wonder drifting down from the sky and gathering in the yards around where you live. you put on your warmest coat and gloves and hat, all bundled up and cute. you put on some boots and you run outside. its quiet and there’s not really anyone else around. its just you and the snow. you play and giggle and build a fort and throw snowballs at the wall. and as the sun begins to set you grow tired and your nose starts to hurt from the cold. you’ve been outside for so long. so, you head inside and defrost by the vents in your wall blasting heat. you change in to your most favorite winter time jammies and make another cup of cocoa. you play another movie and your night feels familiar and safe. you finish your cocoa and drift off as the movie plays on, giving you a peaceful lull to sleep.

something something about asgore clinging onto memories of his family, constantly wishing for a chance to see them again, yet failing to see them for who they are at present. he mentions how frisk reminds him of chara in the neutral route, yet doesn't notice chara in the genocide route. he mentions wanting to see asriel again, yet fails to recognise him in the same route as well. he mentions how he and toriel will take care of frisk without taking into consideration if toriel is even alive, and even in the true pacifist route, asks her if they can be friends failing to consider how she's feeling at the moment.

something something about flowey taking this same form of clinginess towards the past and unwillingness to accept the present to it's most extreme form via outright keeping people stuck in place through saving and resetting, not allowing them to grow on their own terms, and how his final goal as the god of hyperdeath is to reset everything back to 0. he similarly tries to use frisk as a substitute for chara as well, also taking that to its most extreme by pretending that it actually is chara. something something like father like son something something.

Something something, caregiver Diluc being used as a personal heater for his little ones to cuddle up to. Sits down for one second and has his arms are instantly full of sleepy little ones who just want to be held. It’s not their fault the pyro users runs warm. Mainly regressor!Catra + caregiver!Adora

Catra is a flip heavily leaning towards a regressor. She’d like to be a caregiver more but most of the time when it comes to agere she ends up in a regressed state instead.

She tends to regress when overwhelmed, scared, stressed out or when she gets triggered.

She tends to feel very vulnerable and sensitive in her regressed state and prefers to hide from others. Wouldn’t let anyone approach her unless she’s real close with that person.

May cry a lot and hurt herself but also lash out at others.

But inside she just wants to feel safe and be comforted, hugged, soothed…

Her regression is one of her biggest secrets that she guards heavily. Catra tends to think of this as a weakness that she has to eliminate, and yet she just can’t. That frustrates her a lot and oftentimes she hates herself for this. It’s especially true when she’s still in the Horde. She tries hard to repress it all.

Despite this being a secret, it’s likely that Adora and Shadow Weaver know about it.

Shadow Weaver simply knows her well enough to figure it out. SW keeps this a secret and doesn’t reveal it to others simply because SW doesn’t really care. For her it’s just another aspect of Catra’s personality that may or may not be useful to her. SW doesn’t speak of any of this to Catra either. But it’s possible that SW uses this knowledge to manipulate Catra at some point.

Adora also finds out about Catra’s regression. It happens on accident one day when she runs into a regressed Catra who lashes out then cries and apologizes.

Adora may be taken aback by Catra’s actions and hurt at first but she reassures Catra that it’s okay, that happens, no need to cry. Adora doesn’t hold it against Catra, she understands that everyone has bad days and may lash out sometimes and she can see that Catra is sorry.

She hugs Catra tightly while Catra can’t stop talking, a mix of venting and trying to explain what’s happening to her.

When Catra calms down she feels pretty embarrassed and ashamed about the whole thing but she does her best to properly explain her regression to Adora.

This is something new to Adora but she listens and does her best to understand. She thinks it’s nothing to be ashamed about. Catra’s secret is also safe with her and Adora doesn’t tell anyone about this.

Though it still takes a while for Catra to fully trust Adora with this, eventually she starts including Adora in her regression.

Adora starts helping with Catra’s regression, helps her figure out her triggers, find ways to make her comfortable and safe while regressed.

With Adora’s help, over time Catra’s regression becomes more comfortable, it becomes more fun and pleasant, starts feeling like something safe rather than something too vulnerable and shameful for Catra to do.

While it still often happens as a reaction to strong emotions and Catra has to deal with that when that happens, she starts regressing during other times too.

Basically Adora’s help allows Catra to actually explore her regression, learn more about it and herself, just like Adora is learning more about Catra through this.

For example, Catra realizes that she likes chewy things, sometimes she chews her own tail or hands. Pacifiers get chewed up pretty fast!

She likes to play with anything shiny and things that make light noise like small keys.

She also likes to indulge her cat side: running on all fours and having the zoomies, playing with cat toys, rolling around with a toy, meowing.

After Melog enters her life, they often play together like this! Just both of them being two big cats together!

When very regressed and comfortable, Catra lets her guard down and doesn’t talk much if at all, mostly responds in noises, meows, etc.

She also purrs. A lot and loudly.

She lets Adora play with her as if Catra was just a cat, feed her, cuddle her, and read her stories to help her sleep.

Over time Catra figures out that she has caregiver qualities too and realizes she’s a flip even if she still remains mainly a regressor.

Adora isn’t much of a regressor herself, but she allows Catra to take care of her and baby her a little when Catra is in the caregiver mindset. To be honest, Adora finds that pretty enjoyable and she likes that side of Catra. But Adora really likes regressed baby Catra as well, she’s just too cute!

Even if your body isn’t what you wish it were, you can still treat it with the respect it deserves. While it’s completely fine to dream of certain goals and changes for yourself, it’s equally important to learn to appreciate your body for what it is right now. Don’t try to fuel yourself on self hatred.

Summer evenings.. oh how Diluc wished they could last forever, the way the orange sun set over the horizon of Mondstadt like a roaring fire. He stared down at his newspaper, humming softly to himself as he turned the pages, his coat neatly hung up on the chair. He paused for a moment, hearing a slight creak from the old floorboards of the winery.

“.. I can see you little bird. Is there a problem?” He asked, looking up at the stairs, where you stood. He chuckled softly, a soft smile crossing his face as he walked towards you, kneeling down to your level.

“What’s wrong? Are you perhaps hungry? Thirsty maybe?” He asked, wracking his brains for what could be causing a potential problem, but when you pointed up the stairs- he instantly knew.

“Ah. You were waiting for me to tuck you into bed?” He asked, smiling as he stood up again, reaching out his gloved hand and gently ruffling your hair. Despite his supposed grumpy demeanour, he always showed his love towards you. You were everything to him.

He reached forwards, lifting you up and placing you on his hip as he strolled to the kitchen, placing you down on the wooden counter. He had been told by Lisa that littles always liked a bottle before bed and her advice had worked tremendously up to this point.

“You just sit right there for a moment sweetheart, Papa will get make you a bottle.” He said, grabbing your favourite bottle out of the cupboard and swiftly fixing up a bottle, he always made sure to be swift while doing so to prevent any upsets.

“And.. there we go.” He spoke, chuckling as he lifted you back up into his burly arms. It paid off to be a bartender sometimes, he always managed to fix up bottles for you at an incredibly quick pace. He began ascending the wooden stairs, humming softly as he walked into his bedroom.

“I assume we’re ready for bed now, hmm? You’ve got your bottle and your blankie..” he said, his red eyes scanning you over quickly.

“..And I assume you don’t need a change?” He asked tenderly, his voice quiet and gentle as not to startle you. He sighed in relief as you nodded, gently pulling back the luxurious duvet and carefully laying you down on the pillows, all while smiling softly.

“Do you want Papa to stay beside you for a little bit until you drop off?” He asked, tucking you in to the covers, making sure your stuffed animal was securely in the sheets too before sitting on the other side of the bed, reaching out and stroking your hair.

When he could see your eyes begin to close and suck on your bottle in a relaxed manner, he felt his heart warm slightly. He leant down, pressing a kiss to your forehead before heading to the door, turning out the light as he spoke.

“Goodnight, little bird. Have sweet and pleasant dreams.” He murmured before exiting, shutting the door behind him with a chuckle.

Regressors Elsa and Anna Headcanons (Frozen)

Suggested by @histroiansofenchancia; they technically suggested Friend Anna, but I decided to do Regressor/Playmate instead. Hope that’s okay! :)

Elsa:

She regresses to a younger age range - six at the oldest, but often younger - and she usually regresses involuntarily.

She is super clumsy while regressed, which sometimes frustrates her.

The big exception is when she’s moving on ice. Whether thanks to her powers or just a weird fluke, she never slips when she’s skating.

Speaking of her powers, she LOVES showing them off. She normally holds back a little, but when she’s regressed she truly lets loose.

She also uses her powers to make her own regressor clothes.

She’s very particular about physical touch; not even Anna can touch her without asking.

 She’s extra emotional when she’s regressed. The happy feelings are a million times stronger, the sad feelings lead to hours of crying…

And yes, angry feelings can lead to pretty intense tantrums. She never intentionally hurts anyone but sometimes it happens accidentally.

After a tantrum, she’ll apologize a thousand times and do chores to make up for it; she can’t stand being put in timeout. 

She insists on her hands always being free, but she loves being bundled up in blankets. It makes her really excited.

Anna:

Anna regresses to around ten, and she honestly really loves being able to be the boss of younger regressors.

She loves animals in any headspace, but especially when she’s regressed. She knows every dog in the kingdom by name and is constantly stopping to pet horses or rabbits or geese. (Yes, she gets bitten sometimes. No, that will not stop her.)

She has super high energy levels and is constantly looking for new games to play.

Chase? Let’s run absolutely wild through the castle! Charades? She’s totally gonna win! Dolls? How’d you know that was her favorite?!

She frequently wakes you up in the middle of the night so you can play with her.

One of the only things that can make her sit still is when someone reads her fairy tales. She loves listening to stories of handsome princes saving their beautiful beloveds.

(And then of course she wants to play fairy tale, but at least there were a few minutes of peace!)

She is very clingy of the people she loves; at times TOO clingy. She’s working on it, though.

She can’t stand being overly cold, but as long as she’s got a warm dress and mittens, she loves playing outside.

You can try to keep her out of the chocolate. You can try… but you will be unsuccessful.

You know what, I'm gonna say it. Experience fandom regression your way.

The point is, fandom agere I feel like can be so gatekept sometimes. People feel like they need to follow rules to avoid being judged, but you don't. Regressing is all about having fun, and making new memories and experiences. I think it's great you have a fandom/character you love enough to go on that journey with. Some of us may not be so good at playing with toys or doing a lot of commonly talked about agere activities, like me. But my characters I love? My art, my writing? Absorbing myself into a fictional safe space I've built is how I play. How I express myself, and I want you to know you can do that in any way you want.

I spent far too long thinking things were wrong or right, that they were taboo or bad in this community when really, I was just disagreeing with the masses about an opinion in fiction. Everyone has different opinions, comfort levels, boundaries on their own works, etc, but as long as you aren't breaking those bounds and are keeping things SFW? Have a blast. This is your coping mechanism, your fandoms, your interests, your things that make you happy. Have the most fun, okay little one?
