It’s so funny how in The Bad Batch 3.01 “Confined,” Crosshair and Batcher are parallel characters:

• Omega visits both of them regularly. While they are confined, she has some amount of freedom within Tantiss.

• Both are initially closed off/withdrawn and antagonistic toward her.

• But, through continual positive interactions with Omega, they grow attached to her. (You could say she domesticated *both of them* … as others joked about here! 😂)

• Both of them are hurt — Batcher, physically and Crosshair, emotionally/physically — and Omega helps them both to heal.

• Both of their lives are threatened because of Omega’s actions. Batcher is slated for termination after Omega domesticates her; and Hemlock threatens to kill Crosshair if Omega’s misbehavior continues.

• Omega eventually frees both of them, and they both prove crucial in their collective escape in Episode 3.03. (Note: all three of them escape Tantiss the same way — via Batcher’s kennel chute.)

• Both Batcher and Crosshair are always ready to Square Up ™️ anytime someone threatens Omega.

• “S/he deserves a chance.”

• Hemlock only ever uses their designations — CT-9904 and LH-201. Omega only ever uses their names.

• The irony of Hemlock saying “actions always have consequences — sometimes not in the ways we imagine”… He literally arms Omega with two individuals who help in her first escape, and pairs her with Emerie who helps with the second escape. And later, Crosshair and Omega team up with Hunter to kill Hemlock. None of this would’ve happened if Hemlock had supervised Omega more closely, or not given her as many freedoms during her initial stay.

• Same thing with “Emotion and sentiment have no place within these walls. You would do well to remember that” … considering it’s the Bad Batch’s love for each other that causes Hemlock’s downfall.

• Omega refuses point blank to leave either of them behind throughout S3. “I wasn’t going to leave without you.” / “I’m not abandoning her.”

• Also, Batcher and Crosshair save Hunter together in 3.05. 😂

• Batcher almost exclusively follows Crosshair in 3.05. But, after he reconciles with Hunter and Wrecker in that episode, Batcher seems more comfortable hanging out with Hunter and Wrecker too. Like, she fully integrates into the family when Crosshair does.

There are probably others, but that’s all I got for now. 😅

Bad ass ARC Echo ❤️🔥

Sigh 😍😍😍

Yeah, Echo showing off his one-arm pull up is one of the moments I always watch several times over when rewatching "Rampage." Partially because I've been working on pull ups for years now and still can't do even one, so I'm always impressed by those who can. But also, it's Echo 😍

I HIGHLY recommend the @staycalmandhugaclone series Doc’s Misadventures. Such rich and lush writing, fantastic adventures with OC Medic and Bad Batch, Wolf Pack. I can’t thank our author enough for sharing this with us. There is more content written by @staycalmandhugaclone that I can’t wait to devour. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

These prompts have snowballed into an ongoing series following the beloved Fem!medic!oc trope (written via 1st person reader with no real descriptors). They're in chronological order, and I've tried to make sure to mention if any earlier works in particular are referenced in each one.

If there is a trigger warning that you are concerned about but want to enjoy the story, please please please reach out! In many instances I can alter snip-its or tone things down, or at least highlight the sections in question so you can avoid them (I could do a vague summary for continuity).

Touch Starved - Echo - The new medic catches Echo hiding a strained shoulder and gives him a much needed massage.

Warnings: Pretty mild – some cussing, a bit of angst, otherwise just a lot of comfort via a much needed massage

Round 2 with Echo! - just a soft second massage because I wanted to write it - Warnings: Body dysphmorphia from prosthetic limbs, angst, some anxiety/tension from a thigh massage

TS Ch 2 - Hunter - Doc convinces Hunter to let her help him through a tension headache.

Warnings: Tension headache, no real warnings - just another much needed massage

TS Ch 3 - Wrecker - An innocent request leads Doc to a horrifying discovery that she's quick to remedy.

Warnings: Reference to child neglect/ starvation, star wars cursing

TS Ch 4 – Tech - Left alone on the Marauder while the others retrieve a replacement part, Doc and Tech discuss the local culture while Tech works on mechanical upgrades. The unfortunate side effects of his poor posture prompt Doc to step in with a helping hand.

Warnings: Discussion of cultural/religious differences, joking reference to reverse harem, touch aversion, medical language

TS Ch5 – Crosshair - Fed up with Crosshair's dismissal of her help after a nearly disastrous escape, Doc finally snaps.

Warnings: Maybe light arachnophobia? Cursing, yelling, brief mention of injection

Flinching - OC&TBB - Doc has a dangerous near-encounter while away from the boys. They aren't pleased when they find out.

Warnings: Reference to attempted SA, reference to physical assault, some cursing, borderline panic attack.

F Ch 2 - OC&Echo - Echo patches Doc up after her attack.

Warnings: Reference to attempted SA, reference to physical assault, some cursing, wound care, energy crash from excessive bacta use, non-intimate undressing, some self-deprecating thoughts

F Ch 3 - OC&TBB - Doc tries to lighten the mood en route to speaking with her superior officers.

Warnings: Mostly fluff, but still some reference to attempted SA, reference to physical assault, reference to victim blaming

F Ch 4 - OC&TBB - After the grueling retelling, Doc has a brief talk with Cody regarding her place in the GAR before finally returning to learn that her squad has a surprise for her.

Warnings: Summarized attempted SA, reference to physical assault, reference to victim blaming. The first half is heavy, not gonna lie, but there's nothing explicit.

Muzzled - Crosshair - Crosshair is captured by Separatist forces. Though brief, his time imprisoned left him in need of help.

Warnings: Some light medical jargon and an injection, a bit of cussing, kinda muzzle/gag duo complete with saliva

M Ch 2 - Crosshair - Hiding an injury rarely ever ends well. Luckily, Doc notices something is still wrong.

Warnings: This one's gone some proper medical procedures - gore/blood/injections. Adult language. Good bit of guilt and angst.

TS Ch1.5.5 (because Cross needs more attention) - Crosshair - Nothing's easy with Crosshair, but after a joke goes too far, he and Doc manage to find a deeper trust in each other.

Warnings: More cursing, panic attack

Knife to Throat - OC&TBB - Doc is blindsided by a grief-maddened civilian.

Warnings: Blood and cursing. Kinda flirting with death a bit, and some light fluff that goes with it. Knife wound and subsequent medical procedures.

Soft Words - Hunter - A Separatist outpost sets a cruel trap for Hunter. The Doc tries to keep him sane until rescue comes.

Warnings: Went very heavy in the whump with this one – sound torture, imprisonment, mild language

Secrets Revealed – OC&TBB - An unexpected EMP forces Doc to reveal aspects of their past that could well turn the batch against them. (Censored version for those uncomfortable with heavy gore)

Warnings: Explicit details of severe injury – blood/gore, language, panic attacks, angst, PTSD flashbacks, self-depreciation, offhand reference to minor character death. This one hits a lot of potentially triggering topics pretty intensely and is fueled from a very dark place I was in with my own injury. Be kind to yourself. Healing is a nonlinear process.

Made to Watch - OC&TBB - Doc becomes the subject of torture in an attempt to force intel from Hunter.

Warnings: Get yuh whump here! Fresh, violent whump! Explicit details of torture and physical injuries, blood and minor gore, broken bones, near death, language.

Panic - Echo - A quiet discussion between Doc and Hunter is delayed when Echo has a nightmare. Doc tries to ease him through it, resulting in a fun bit of shared taunts with Crosshair the following morning.

Warnings: Nightmare-induced panic attack. Non-intimate bed sharing. Fictional curses (does that need a warning?), sexual innuendo

No Anesthesia (Extra per request) – OC&TBB – Wrecker’s overzealous efforts to destroy a building lead to Doc getting pinned in a dire situation.

Warnings: Very heavy whump in this one, with a couple moments of descriptive gore and medical procedures, impalement, difficulty breathing, near death, cursing. TW: claustrophobia

Found Footage - OC&TBB – A pleasant moment at 79s is shattered when someone tries to blackmail doc with footage of the crash on Agamar.

Warnings: Huge PTSD warning here. Flashbacks, disassociating, past injury description, blackmail, grief, angst, some alcohol use (social, not abuse), cursing

Difficulty Breathing – Medic OC&Wrecker- During a mission in a cave, Doc realizes she didn't come out of the rubble of that building with only physical scars, but is determined to push through.

Warnings: Big Claustrophobia warning. and Bats. Ptsd, panic attack. That's about it for this one!

DB Ch 2 - OC&Wrecker - Wrecker and Doc face additional challenges in their attempt to reach the surface.

Warnings: Heights, bats, mild gore, drowning, near death, hypothermia

DB Ch 3 - OC&TBB- When Hunter reveals what really prompted the cave beasts to attack, Doc is faced with an impossible decision.

Warnings: hypothermia recovery, thought of mortality (no character deaths), extreme guilt/angst/self doubt. Talked of wartime casualties. Dis one do be pretty tense, sooo prepare yourselves I guess

Fever – Tech - Tension are high after Doc's discussion with Commander Cody, but when Tech is exposed to a certain fungus, she doesn't hesitate to help.

Warnings: Angst, accidental drug exposure via fungal spores.

Fever - Tech Pt 2 - The effects of the spores quickly wear off, rending Tech into a severe withdrawal.

Warnings: TW: symptoms of withdrawal, accidental drug exposure via fungal spores, sense of impeding doom, high fever, vomiting, delirium-induced violence, strangulation, cursing, needles/IV

Fever - Tech Pt 3 - Crosshair and Echo take a moment to remind Doc that she needs to take care of herself, too, as Tech continues fighting through the effects of withdrawal.

Breaking Point - Doc Pt 2 - The squad enjoys the remainder of that day on the lake before finally fulfilling the real reason they were sent there.

“I won’t kill you,” he said, the words steady but heavy. His eyes darted around. The cybernetic one struggling to see in the dimly lit cell as he searched for the control panel on the wall.

Perdita didn’t respond, assuming he was ready to leave and her last attempt at peace foiled by a clone who truly owed her little loyalty. As she prepared for his departure she felt the chains around her hands unlock, before falling away. Flexing her fingers she looked up to see him much closer now as he tugged her forearm.

“But I won’t let them take you, either.” His voice was low, almost aggressive in nature, as if he was revolting against the very action he was taking.

Perdita didn’t smile. She didn’t thank him. She just nodded, the flicker of something like hope passing through her eyes. It wasn’t much, but it was enough to give him the courage to take the next step—whatever that might be.

“We have everything we need, Babe,” Hardcase nudged you out the door. “Go, visit, show off holos of our beautiful baby, plan a great Lifeday party with the others,”

You were going out with the partners of several troopers from Torrent Company. A day out was planned and also time to plan and make arrangements for Torrent’s Lifeday party. 

 “I just, it’s the longest I’ll have been away from her” you suddenly feel forlorn.  

Hardcase kisses you gently, baby cradled in one arm, “You are already doing better than I did, and definitely better than I will in a couple of weeks,”

The reminder that he was shipping out in two weeks struck you and you shook your head, “I should be staying here with you!” 

“Nope. As much as I’d like to keep you here, you have things to do and so do I.”he answered. He had intended on finishing a commission he had that morning after you left. 

“I could take care of her while you finish…” you begin. 

“We got it, you know that,” he reminded you.  It was true, the pair had bonded very quickly. Also she would take a solid morning nap, giving him plenty of time.  “And you need to make sure they don’t plan something too ridiculous for the cake.”

“Okay, okay,” you conceded, kissing your baby’s head and then Hardcase one more time. “You two take care of each other,”

“Got it, have fun!” He grinned. Once the door closed behind you he looked down at the baby. “Okay lil bit, let’s do this,”. 

A half hour later the baby was content with a fresh diaper and having freshly finished a bottle. She was dozing in the birikad he had strapped to his chest while he drew, humming along to some music he had on.  He had just finished and sent it off to be approved when his com went off.  Loudly.  Cursing himself for forgetting to put it on silent he quickly answered it, but not before it woke the baby. 

“Yeah, Jess…what’s up? He asked, balancing the com and extracting the now distressed infant out of the sling. 

“I heard you were home by yourself with…. Why is she crying? What did you do?” Jesse demanded. 

“You did it. You called and I think you actually scared the piss out of her,” Hardcase grumbled at his brother. “She needs changing. Talk to you later.” He ended the call with Jesse protesting on the other end.

He comforted her while taking her to change her. “Your ba’vodu is a di’kut, lil bit” he told her as he began changing her diaper, after she had calmed some. “I think maybe some tummy time?”

“Then your ba’vodu Dogma blasted that darjetii,” he mocked the sound of a blaster shot.  The baby, who was watching him intently smiled at him.  “Or that’s what I was told. I was still out of commission,” he was distracted by his com vibrating. “Wonder what Kix needs?”

“You okay, vod? Jesse is losing his mind, something about ad’ika…” Kix said as soon as he answered. 

“Di’kut panicked because he heard I was by myself with her and she was crying because the com scared her awake.” Hardcase explained.

“So everything is okay?” Kix asked. 

“We are just fine,” Hardcase told him. “I was just telling her about Umbara and about to get her a bottle because it’s almost time,”

“That’s not appropriate for kids, ‘Case!” Kix scolded. 

“Vod, it’s not like she can understand what I’m saying. She just likes to hear me talk.” He laughed.  “I’m going to get her that bottle now, she’s making hungry face” 

He ended the call with Kix and said to his newborn daughter, “two of your ba’voduse are di’kute,”

Hardcase gave her another bottle and she dozed in her birikad again, snuggled in where could easily glance down and see her face. There was a boloball game later that he wanted to watch, but he had a while to wait. So, he started the game system. He had just logged on and was waiting for his game to start when his com vibrated again. 

“Shouldn’t you be watching ad’ika?” Fives asked from the other end. 

Hardcase glanced down, yup still asleep. “Yeah, she’s asleep,”

“But you logged on, you should be…” Fives continued. Hardcase could hear Echo in the background. 

“Vod, she is attached to me. She’s sleeping in her birikad Rex gave us.” Hardcase was getting actually annoyed now. Three calls from his vode.  In contrast other than the gushing you had responded with when he had snapped a few holos and sent them through the day you hadn’t worried.

“She needs enrichment, the book says…” Echo had obviously snatched the phone from Fives.  He had read a book about ‘Baby’s first year’ like it was the regs.  The difference was, he knew the regs to know how to bend them.  But like her other uncles he was excessively protective over the littlest addition.

Hardcase ended the call, cutting Echo off. “ALL of your ba’voduse are di’kute,” he huffed, looking down at the still sleeping baby.   “Wait… not all!”  

He selected a com frequency. “Everything okay, Hardcase?” Rex asked when he answered.  An expected amount of concern in his voice, but not frantic like the others.  Hardcase explained what had been happening.  Rex laughed, “I’ll order them to retreat,they should know you would call if you needed help, di’kute. Are you planning on watching the game?”

Five minutes later a sternly worded retreat order came over the Torrent com frequency while Hardcase began to play his game.

When you come home later, you find the two on the couch, watching the boloball game.  Hardcase wearing a jersey for his favorite team with the baby in a matching one.  He was animatedly explaining the game to her while she watched him with the smile she got whenever he talked to her.

“Did you two have fun?” you ask as you give each of them a kiss.

“Other than my brothers being a pain, yeah!” he answered.

“I heard about that,” you laugh as you kick off your shoes to curl up on the couch with them.

“How about you, did you have fun?” He asked as you settled next to him, leaning your head on his shoulder.

“Mmm hmmm, missed you two though,” you sigh.

He kisses the top of your head, “We missed you too, Babe,”
