You know what's really funny to me? The trope of Bakugou in canon being super talented at everything that he does. In canon it's supposed to be for laughs when he's good at random shit, but I don't understand how it's supposed to be funny when the funnier route would have been that this guy has dedicated himself to nothing else but being extremely good at fighting with his quirk and to be a hero that he's actually super ass at everything else. But I guess having a complex version of Bakugou where he learns that there's more to life than heroics and maybe is way less of a demon isn't something that would have been interesting. ALSO ALSO, genuinely I'm confused as to why people think Bakugou is super smart. Like I get that he was excelling at school and was taking mock UA tests and shit, blah blah blah, but:
A) I can totally see his marks getting doctered by Aldera
B) Passing the UA exam doesn't tell me shit about his intelligence, since people who are "dumber" (Kaminari and Ashido) than him also passed the same exam. Without even knowing the proper format of the test (keeping in mind it's also a standardized test) there's no real way to gauge how "intelligent" someone has to be to do well. Also there's a bunch of General-Ed students who passed that test so again, doesn't tell me much.
C) For all the praise that he receives, there's nothing really like "intelligent" or complex about the plans that Bakugou comes up with when people suck him off for being such a good tactician. He fully somehow thought he could overwhelm fucking ALL-MIGHT with his explosions alone, if he's such a good tactician why would he all of a sudden fuck this up? Also, his "counter" to Uraraka's plan was just do bigger explosions, so again, nothing to do with his actual intellect, it's just his quirk. Which brings me to,
D) Bakugou fully should have been taken out by Uraraka's plan. I get that she was tanking hits and he wasn't, but he suffers no backlash at all from unleashing his quirk all day, and is even able to fire off massive explosions no problem. I don't care what bullshit excuse Horikoshi or the fandom comes up with, unless Bakugou has a second quirk that makes him indestructible or lets him cancel out forces, those massive explosions would have shattered his arms and legs from the recoil. But nooooooo, Todoroki suffers from acute frosbite and Midoriya shatters himself when he uses OfA. But Bakugou? Ah well, sometimes we'll remember that he's running out of sweat or his wrists will hurt a little or sumthin.
E) Why is Bakugou (and I guess Kirishima by extension as well) more ripped and buff then Midoriya when canonically somehow managed to balance a fucking small pick up truck on the last pile of garbage that he stood on when he cleared the beach. Midoriya should be jacked and stacked like Jotaro fucking Kujo in part 3 and be an immovable object, yet some how Bakugou is shown to be physically stronger than him??? Midoriya should be casually lifting couches with the entire class sitting on it so he can vaccum underneath.
PS. I think it would've been exponentially better to have IZUKU be the one who is good and talented at random shit. Like the kid who didn't have the one thing that is required of all heroes (a quirk) and tries to overcompensate for his "uselessness" by being insanely talented and skilled at tons of different hobbies would have been an awesome angle, he's genius enough to pull it off. Not only would it give us more insight on his life before All Might, but it would also make Bakugou less of a Mary Sue (seriously, the narrative bends over backwards for him) and Izuku less of an untalented loser (again, the narrative loves shitting on him, sweet Jesus). Having Bakugou be terrible at everything besides heroics and Izuku being good at everything "besides heroics" might've made for an interesting character parallel that Hori insists on shoving down our throats for 400 chapters straight đ
Hi @stormiclown đ
đŻ. I completely agree with this.
Bakugou being ass at everything that doesn't involve his quirk would have been much funnier, and it would have made more sense narratively for the reasons you listed.
In a good story, that fact would have also forced Bakugou to grow and realise that in UA, he's no longer a big fish in a small pond - he's just one of many talented children.
As you rightfully pointed out, it would have made much more narrative sense for IZUKU to be the ripped one, to be the talented and intelligent one. He would have felt like he would have had to prove he wasn't useless growing up, so it would have made more sense for Izuku to have dozens of hidden (and developed - where did Izuku's quirk analysis go?!) talents.
Then, for Izuku to feel jarred by the amount of praise and appreciation he is getting now, he isn't "useless quirkless Deku" that he felt like he was at Aldera. Then for Izuku to flourish and grow as a result.
Back again posting once in a full blue moon.
Iâll admit I am a fan of Hitoshi Shinsou. Always had been since the age of 16 (moreso crush; I shipped my OC with him), and now 5 years later after the series has ended my interest in mha has decided to resurface for whatever reason.
And Iâm deciding why not reprise my OC and make a story of her journey with Hitoshi being the Deuteragonist + Love interest.
Obviously my crush on him is long dead, but for the story Iâm making for my OC, think of it like a pay off for old time sake. Healing my inner teenager who was so critical of MHA that I ended up hating it and forgetting about it 2 years after I fell inlove with. Tbh I still donât like MHA but Iâm getting ahead of myself.
The following statement can be applied to any characters I favour:
Iâve always been okay with people hating on characters I favour, to the point I go out of my way to read critical rants of them. Sometimes I would find myself disagreeing, only if itâs from a narrative standpoint.
Take Muzan Kibutsuji from Demon Slayer for example. He is a character created to be hated, and heck even I was his biggest hater from the get-go before I eventually favoured him for reasons. When I see everyone slandering him Iâd find myself joining in. Watching Muzans stans unironically babying him (especially on tiktok) annoys me to the point I reply to them with some reality check comments.
And where Iâd disagree are the parts where fans, or rather outsiders, talk about how Muzan is an anti-climatic coward villain with weak powers whoâd get nerfed by [insert overpowered villain].
Itâs not exactly critical if that was the authorâs intention all along. The episodes spell it out for you that Muzan is written to be an anticlimactic narcissistic coward, and compared to some villains I donât think its fair to underestimate his powers.
What Iâm trying to say is, reading critical rants of Hitoshi as a fan is refreshing for multitude reasons.
Again like I previously mentioned Iâm okay with people hating on characters I favour, and when I read critical points of them it helps me keep an open mind and not allow my emotions develop a (parasocial) bias with them.
More importantly in my future fic it helps me keep my characterisation of him as canon as possible; he will be going through a character growth arc, and it will involve the story holding his asshole tendencyâs accountable but giving him room to improve and grow. He will not lose his fundamentals and do this whole 180, he will still be a smug ass at times.
Secondly Iâm not a fan of the dadzawa relationship in canon and fanon, and especially not a fan of how I last remembered the fandom portraying him as this kicked puppy that was trampled on in the past and follows midoriya / denki / neito around with heart eyes or is this attractive edgelord whos into 2020 grunge aesthetic and listens to soundcloud emo trap music. That will not be happening in my fic, he can kiss his pseudo-dad goodbye because he will be the one to help report him in the end (spoilers).
And Iâm not saying this out of stingyness or thinking Im this hitoshi-bible enthusiast, but I genuinely do not get the appeal of shinsou x midoriya / denki / neito / bakugo.
Whos bright idea was it to ship shinsou with bakugo? Thats a recipe for disaster, theyll end up physically and mentally abusing each other what a horrible pairing.
I see Midoriya needing to be shipped with someone with a sweet caring heart who doesnât dump their traumatic luggage on him (Oochako, no offense to midoriya x todoroki fans). Midoriya doesnât need to deal with a smug winger who doesnât know how to friend.
Denki doesnât seem like the type of person Hitoshi would willingly befriend, especially because of his association with mineta (hitoshi canonically believes mineta should be expelled, read the link). The way how I see Hitoshis friendship with Denki is close approximately slight co-hersion. Youâre friends because youre classmates, hes a friendly nice dude and you feel a little coerced, and its not like youâre in the right place to judge because you donât know what its like to have friends and people will see you as a charity case.
If the two were not in close proximity Hitoshi wouldve avoided denki like the plague. Canon and fanon will not fool me otherwise.
And with Neito, aside from their quirk discrimination what exactly do they have in common? Ill leave that to your imagination but what I can think of as someone who is a genuine fan of Neito and side characters generally speaking isâŠnothing.
I understand thereâs not much to work to go with his canon character but unless youâre able to give a reasonable in universe explanation as to why you want to portray him as such, 99% it just falls flat because of how blown out of proportion his portrayal gets. You can just tell the fanon version is done from an emotional bias point.
And if youre atleast able to admit that then fair enough, but the mha fandom does this thing where they like to cosplay as media intellects. Its sad to watch.
And if itâs one thing I find myself disagreeing with few of the critical rants about him (no hate or shade) is that how he seems to be completely remorseless of the actions he did. Or being completely self centred.
Iâm only saying this because I just found out on his wiki synopsis he was shown to feel guilty over calling Oijiro a monkey or brainwashing him. (https://myheroacademia.fandom.com/wiki/My_Hero_Academia:_School_Briefs_IV)
And a summary of his further thoughts (https://notebook-13.tumblr.com/post/629545863925137408/oooo-what-do-the-light-novels-sayshow-about/amp)
Personally I see Hitoshi as someone who has a tunnel vision worldview, has an asshole skin with some insecurities on the inside. A little nudge of kindness and someone to challenge him heâll soon come around to change, albiet slowly.
Iâm able to empathise with where heâs coming from, as in how his canon character wouldve come to be like the whole primary & secondary influence and whatnot.
Yeah heâs a winger who threw a little tantrum who used his quirk with not so good intentions, and I wonât deny any of that. But unlike *some* characters itâs not like he really felt like he had any choice during that time, but it looks like his apparent guilt was there to chew him up. He cannot be compared to someone like bakugo whatsoever.
As for Aizawa I do see where everyones coming from, but the difference is Aizawa is a seasoned adult while Hitoshi is an unseasoned teenager. Tbh Hitoshi deserved a better mentor who wasnât training him out of projected feelings covered up by logic, but that could be said for every other character.
And where MHA fails in having characters challenge him, my story will be there to pick up the pieces.
Hey! đ
I hope you're doing well.
IIâm reaching out with something really close to my heart. A dear friend and his family are going through an incredibly hard time.
They urgently need support, and even the smallest act of kindness â a share or donation â could make a life changing difference.
This is about compassion, about standing by each other when it matters most. đ
Thank you so much for taking a moment to care đ

Stack Moore(Sinners2025)x black reader:
Genre: smut with very little angst
Summary: once stack comes from chicago. he realizes how independent you've become and the tension you have towards him
Preview: âI knew youâd be mad... but you been treatinâ me like I'm just any other normal ass nigga. Like I donât mean nothinâ to you,â he said, squatting in front of you so you were eye level.âObviously, you forgot who the fuck I am... so let me remind you real quick.â

It had been about two weeks since Stack came back into town after he and his brother's unannounced trip. He returned thinking the same sweet, charismatic, and loving girl he left behind would greet him with hugs and kisses. Instead, he was met with a cold, nonchalant, and independent woman who wouldnât even give him a passing glance.
He knew leaving without telling you was wrong, so he had been trying to make up for it by helping you reach dishes on the top shelf, fixing the leaky sink, even offering to carry your groceries home. But every time, he was either ignored, brushed off, or straight-up told you didnât need his help. Stack had been trying to keep his cool, hoping youâd eventually break out of this bratty phase. But today... you pushed him too far. And he snapped.
You were already having a rough day. The chores around the house stacked up as high as the dishes in the sink. Your mood was on edge when Stack decided to stop by.
âWhat you got planned for today?â he asked, trying to start a conversation.
You didnât even bother responding to the man whose voice irritated you every time he spoke.
âOkay⊠still being a brat,â he mumbled under his breath. You turned around and shot him the dirtiest look you could manage.
Leaning lazily against a chair in the kitchen, he stayed unfazed. âMe and my brother are having the grand opening of the juke joint tonight. I want you there for me.âYou immediately responded, almost cutting him off, âNot interested. I got too much to do around the house anyway.â You went back to scrubbing the dishes without giving him another look. Stack took it as another chance to lend a hand. âWell, then let me help you. I really waââ, âI donât need your help, Stack!â you snapped, swinging around too fast. The dish in your hand slipped and shattered across the floor. âShit,â you muttered under your breath. You dropped to your knees to pick up the broken pieces carefully. âI donât even know why youâre here. You left me. Iâve moved on. You need to do the same.âyou said coldly.
Stackâs face dropped. His patience finally ran out. âYou know Iâve been tryinâ to be nice to you,â he said lowly, the tension in the room thickening. The house grew suffocatingly silent.
Stack started walking toward you, the crunch of porcelain under his boots echoing off the walls.
âI knew youâd be mad... but you been treatinâ me like I'm just any other normal ass nigga. Like I donât mean nothinâ to you,â he said, squatting in front of you so you were eye level.âObviously, you forgot who the fuck I am... so let me remind you real quick.â
You stood up just as he did, trying to hold your ground.âI donât know what the hell you talkinâ about.âHe stepped forward, closing the space between you, backing you into the kitchen counter. You could feel the heat radiating off his body.âBoy, move,â you warned, trying to slip past him, but he grabbed your wrists, holding you in place. He leaned into your ear. âYou forgot what it felt like when daddy was here to take care of you. But I'm back now... and I ain't goinâ nowhere.â His words made your breath hitch.
Your eyes scanned his face, trying to tell if he was serious. He started kissing down your neck, rubbing your curves, slowly lifting your dress. You gasped at the way his hands roamed, but you had longed for his touch for too long to push him away. âStack... move,â you tried to protest, your voice trembling with hidden moans. His mouth found your sweet spot near your jawline, making your knees buckle. Stack noticed immediately, smirking against your skin.
âSee? All that 'I donât need you' bullshit...â he murmured. âBut your body canât lie to me, baby.â
You hated how your body betrayed you.But with Stack... you couldnât even fight it.You barely registered being lifted onto the counter until you felt the cold countertop on your skin, making you gasp. Stack ran his hands up your thighs, giving small squeezes, reaching your panties. The rough pads of his fingers and his husky cologne made you melt.
He stopped, looking you directly in the eyes as he rubbed you through your panties.
Your moans slipped out despite yourself. He grabbed your chin, forcing you to look at him.
âTell me to stop,â he said, voice rough. He leaned closer, only inches away from your face.
âTell me you want me to leave... and I'll go.âYou wanted to slap him. Push him away. Cuss him out for the pain he caused when he left. But no words came out, only breathless moans. Because deep down, you didnât want him to leave. And he knew it.
Stack smirked, feeling your surrender.
He ripped your panties off, slipping two fingers inside you, massaging your breast with his other hand.âI know youâre mad at me for leavinâ,â he growled, âbut daddyâs back now. And Iâm gonna take real good care of you, okay?âHe slowed the movement of his fingers to an agonizing pace, waiting for your answer.âO-Okay,â you finally whimpered out, desperate for him to keep going.
He chuckled lowly. â...Okay what?â he teased, stopping again.âOkay, Daddy!â you cried out. Proud, Stack laughed in your face, cocky as ever. âThereâs my girl.â
He slipped his fingers out and pushed them into your mouth. You sucked eagerly, happy to have your man back. Then he kissed you, a long, heated kiss that felt like a lifetime of waiting poured into it. When he finally broke away, he stared at your swollen lips, the hickeys blooming on your neck, the sweat forming on your skin.âLet me take care of you. Make up for lost time.â
Stack dropped to his knees between your thighs, kissing you everywhere until he reached your pussy. Without hesitation, he started devouring you, like he had been starving for you.You almost lost control instantly, gripping the back of his head, moaning his name. When you started grinding against his face, chasing the high he was giving you, he locked eyes with you.The sight nearly pushed you over the edge. But just when you were about to cum, Stack abruptly pulled away.
âWaitâStack, please,â you whined, desperate for more.
He smirked, standing up, adjusting his suit while your juices still coated his face.
âAnd you said you didnât need me,â he teased. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out a small wad of cash and tucked it between your breasts, brushing your skin just enough to make you shiver. âNow go get you a new dress, shoes, and get pretty for me. Cause we're going dancing tonightâ He kissed your lips one last time before heading to the front door. Before closing it behind him, he turned and shot you a wink with his signature smirk. You couldnât help but smile, still aching for the touch you swore you didnât need.

Just an anxious boy
So the footage of Owen training the tiny raptors in the new Jurassic World kind of (inadvertently, I think) confirmed something that always bugged me about the social dynamics mentioned in the first film.
Owenâs using the term âalphaâ wrong.
Of course, the concept of pack alphas is rooted in a lot of erroneous studies anyway. But if we take his actual assertions about it and Blueâs behaviour at face value, then Owen is wrong. Heâs not the alpha. Blue is the alpha. The pack follows her cues, thatâs why they go with her when she decides to follow the Indominous, and itâs also why they listen to Owen - because Blue does. If Blue stops, so do the other raptors. Theyâd donât just wait it out to see whoâll win, they immediately follow Blueâs lead.
Blueâs the leader.Â
Owen is, actually, the mediator.
He is the one who stops disputes between the raptors and defuses tense situations. He is permitted this status precisely because heâs physically weak (compared to raptors) but socially important. His social importance was created by rearing the raptors and forming emotional bonds with them. But they know full well that heâs squishy and beatable (though they probably donât realize just how lethal some behaviours might be for him, comparatively). Blue knows she can kill Owen and that Owen is not strong or very useful at leadership decisions for a velociraptor pack. She accepts his input because heâs dad.
So since Owen actually isnât even in the running for pack leader, and challenging him would be pointless because then youâd just hurt him and cost the pack a socially important member, and also probably get beaten up by Blue, he is the ideal mediator of disputes. His intervention de-escalates situations by reducing the amount of violence thatâs permissible.Â
But because he was using so much containment and physical force (even if it was through equipment, obviously) to keep the raptors in check, I think Owen misjudged his placement in the raptor social group. Especially since he actually was tougher than them when they were babies. He thought they listened to him because they believed he was stronger than them, and that this was an illusion he had to maintain.
That was never actually the case, though. Blue knew Owen was way weaker than her the whole time. She just valued him anyway.
Thereâs probably a metaphor about toxic masculinity in there somewhere.
Going back to review MHA, I don't really understand the participation of at least 20 teenagers in the cast if they're not going to do anything
I mean, Aoyama is justifiable as well as Uraraka, Kirishima, Iida and Yaoyorozu
The rest are like they're in the background and suddenly in the last arc everyone perfectly understands the protagonist and his motivations, when at most they interacted with him at USJ, it feels like Hori read "Class 1-A as a Family" in AO3 and continued the story from there.
Bakugo has continuity and importance until he is kidnapped and from there he seems like an extra character (because he has no evolution, the mini-endeavour of the group)
Horikoshi, you should have made AFO take out his quirk, because seriously, it is incomprehensible what he is doing here
Post canon designs ideas
I just need you to know that when I was reading the list of AO3âs top ships this year, I came across Bakudeku and wrinkled my nose on reflex. Then I was like, hold on, I have never seen or read MHA in my life and I have no fucking clue what itâs even about, why did I just do thatâŠand then I realized Iâve absorbed all your anti Bakugou content via osmosis. Anyway I hope you know that your influence spreads FAR AND WIDE. Whoâs Bakugou? Idk but I donât care for him
OMG ECO PLSđ
This is the funniest thing I've ever read. The involuntary reaction to BakuDeku is sending me. This is the correct response to seeing it in the wild, especially on AO3. So good to know that me and my, what, 230 followers are making a positive difference in the worldđ
Do you know who hate women more than men?
Women that ship a (non canon)gay couple and thereâs also a girl in the picture(the canon girlfriend/wife/love interest of one of the male characters).
